[MHA / MLP] The similarities between Izuku Midoriya and Twilight Sparkle...

I NEED YOU GUYS TO STICK WITH ME, OKAY? OKAY.

So, besides being some of my favorite main characters in animated television, they both have weirdly similar stories (it might be some trope I'm unaware of? I don't know). One of the BIGGEST similarities is their mentors, who are (or were) seen by society as THE symbol. Celestia is THE princess of Equestria. All Might is THE symbol of hope-- they're untouchable.

Obviously, as the show moves on, those things are proven to be false (Celestia needs Twilight to save her a bunch and All Might reveals to Deku that he's lowkey dying).

However, that doesn't stop Twilight or Deku from looking up to their mentors and being huge nerds about them T-T (they're so cute)

Plus, towards the end of the show, it's the mentors who end up looking towards the mentees.

The characters who thought that they couldn't do anything (Twilight knew nothing about friendship and Deku didn't even have a quirk) turn into masters in their fields AND they inspire the next generations.

And Deku and Twilight both end up being teachers, at least for a bit.

The Element swap au version of Celestia! I decided to redesign her and Luna for this au cause I could.

Many legends and myths are had about the pony who ruled Equestria alone for 1000 years. It was bound to happen, as many generation are had in that time. And no pony really got close to her in that time. 

No pony alive other than Luna and the Princess Consort (to be designed) know what the face and cutie mark of the reigning deity looks like. This is because many legends prevailed in ancient times that said that looking upon her golden visage would blind a pony. For, they could not stand to see anything more after seeing such beauty. And, well, she just got used to it after the years. It’s second habit now. As for the cutie mark, no pony knows why she hides it other than Luna and the Princess Consort.... It’s a sun, right?

I did these few month ago when I was trying to experiment a bit with my line art…I can imagine this being some sort of a au where Luna is the older sister and they aren’t princesses or maybe they are they just don’t have wings or something. I didn’t get that far.

Holy shit, they look beautiful as humans. also, why does luna look so pretty? No wonder why people love this girl so much, her drawings are beautifully colored and done •w•

(Celestia is beautiful too, don't get me wrong, but I always liked Luna more than Celestia. This is the great exception; pretty pony royal girls <3)

Headcanon, como no se si ya salio de donde viene el fénix de Celestia me lo invento: Cómo sabemos, twilight tuvo que hacer nacer un dragón de su huevo. ¿Cual prueba tuvo que pasar sunset para ser la alumna de Celestia?, por la forma que tiene su cutiemark (y por la forma que muestra en la canción "My past is not today"), pues la prueba de Sunset fue abrir el huevo de philomena (el fénix de Celestia), por eso tiene esa cutiemark

Celestia vs Surge

I had a lot of fun with this one. It was a neat to try out and practice different sorts of lighting and shading.
