Meet the Queen and Non Binary Queen of the Kirin kingdom, Lunar "Luna" Moon and Autumn Breeze!! ◤ ──┅┅┄┄*ೃ:.✧✲ﾟ｡⋆─── ⋆✩⋆ Names: Queen Lunar "Luna" Moon (of the night) , Queen Autumn Breeze (of the Kirins) Genders: Cisfemale / She/Her (Luna), Non binary / They/Them (Autumn) Sexualities: Bisexuality (Luna), Trixic (Autumn) Children: Undecided Other family: Queen Celestial "Celestia" (Sister), Sunburst (Brother in law 1), Stygian (Brother in law 2), Queen Rain Shine (Autumn's Mother / Luna's Mother in law), Unknown Mother (Luna), Unknown Father (Luna) ◤ ──┅┅┄┄*ೃ:.✧✲ﾟ｡⋆─── ⋆✩⋆ Backstory: The summer Princess Celestia brought her youngest sister of the night into the corridor to discuss their retirement and the vacation their most loyal student and future ruler of Equestria, Twilight Sparkle and her friends suggested. The siblings had just finished planning out their vacation, planning on actually staying together instead unlike their first attempt, before a royal guard busted into the corridor, his armored hooves clanking against the tiled flooring. "Ur Highnesses!" He'd start, getting closer to the packed princesses to returned his unexpected visit with open wings and dead stares. "The Kirins are requiring a meeting before ur retirement." He finished , before taking his leave with a bow. ◤ ──┅┅┄┄*ೃ:.✧✲ﾟ｡⋆─── ⋆✩⋆ The royal sisters paused their vacation, heading down towards where the kingdom of the Kirins were located. It was very easy to find from the bustling noise constantly coming from the hill, it was never really truly quiet after the creatures got their voice's back. Princess Luna showed understandable uncertain feelings about all this, but her sister was quick to reassure her everything was going to be just fine, it was just gonna be a quick talk between her and the Queen, mentioning a Kirin was supposed to keep the youngest sibling entertained, but it was unsure which one. Luna admitted she felt a little relieved they weren't going to be there for too long and were able to continue their vacation in peace, though she wondered why as the Kirins felt the need to keep her entertained. ◤ ──┅┅┄┄*ೃ:.✧✲ﾟ｡⋆─── ⋆✩⋆ They soon enough reached their destination, the Queen was waiting for them with a relaxed expression on her face. Before any of them could say anything, a smaller Kirin leaped out from behind the Queen, throwing their two front hooves up which clanked against the female's metal chest cover. "Omg! Ur real!! Ur Princess Luna!! I'm such a big fan!" The Non Binary Kirin would ramble on and on as they circled the taller princess, complimenting every inch of her. The dark blue princesses face would heat up, as she wasn't quite used to compliments as most of them were towards her taller, sunnier, older sister, her aquamarine eyes followed the Kirins every move around her. "AHEM!" a noise left the Queen, causing both Luna and Autumn to stop in their tracks, even though Luna wasn't moving an inch, turning up to look at her. "Autumn Blaze, my beloved sweet child. I do believe it's time to leave me and ur highness to our business." The Queen would remark ever so calmly toward the two. ◤ ──┅┅┄┄*ೃ:.✧✲ﾟ｡⋆─── ⋆✩⋆ Autumn Blaze would gallop in front of the calm princess of the night, who watched their every move, as they sung songs of the past for the kirins, showing off the princess to the others and just plain exploring with her, making sure the princess was safe and sound the entire time. Soon enough it was time for the princesses to take their leave, Luna would leave with plenty of knowledge about Kirin kind..but also a weird feeling in her chest, a feeling for Autumn Blaze she couldn't quite understand, a feeling of affection. The alicorn would soon return to the Kirin village more often after her official retirement, growing close to Autumn even more and more. From mutuals, to friends, to best friends, to love interest's, and soon enough weds. The Royal supremacy has always looked down upon female x female / non binary relationships, but Luna was never one to follow their rules, she was in love w/ the smaller Kirin and she knew it. The two soon eloped in the middle of the village, w/ her older sister at her side along w/ Cadence and the mane 6, supporting her all the way. Was planning to finish this for halloween, but it got finished after Halloween instead sadly :(
Luna for my Element swap au. Decided to redesign her along with Celestia.
Luna is a mix breed. Of what, is speculation. But it is common knowledge the princess of the night was born of a political union between two races. The ponies, and another race which remains forgotten to this day (many races claim it was theirs, and scholars have long lost the documentation). However, it is known that Celestia is at least related to Luna somehow. Maybe not sisters as they call each other, but still close.
The princess ascended at a much younger age than Celestia did, and was thrust into ruling Equestria as a child. Unlike Celestia, who was a mostly grown teenager. Some documents even say she was thrust upon the throne without a cutie mark. Though, the majority of ponies laugh this off. Luna’s cutie mark is related to the moon! …..Right? No pony has seen it….. She hid it before and after her return. No one but Celestia and the Princess Consort (to be designed) have seen it.
Luna was lost for a thousand years, blinded by anger and jealousy at her older sister and having been corrupted by some chaos magic Discord had thrown at her. She was thought a legend, forgotten by her people until the elements brought her back. When she did return, ponies were a bit cautious but overall very kind and welcoming to the new princess. She is still trying to adjust to modern day, but is finding modern Equestria to make her much happier than old Equestria did.

I did these few month ago when I was trying to experiment a bit with my line art…I can imagine this being some sort of a au where Luna is the older sister and they aren’t princesses or maybe they are they just don’t have wings or something. I didn’t get that far.
Holy shit, they look beautiful as humans. also, why does luna look so pretty? No wonder why people love this girl so much, her drawings are beautifully colored and done •w•
(Celestia is beautiful too, don't get me wrong, but I always liked Luna more than Celestia. This is the great exception; pretty pony royal girls <3)
