Oh. My. Gods. The parallel hereee maybe im going crazy but humor me
In the last olympian the last line of chapter 22 is "it was pretty much the best underwater kiss of all time"
And in the chalice of the gods the chapter name of chapter 35 is "pretty much the best goodnight kiss of all time"
Since an underwater kiss is smth not normal ppl can do (sadly) it tells us that percy jackson will still not have a 'normal' life but since this was the last line it tells us that it's the end of an era (the pjo series)
A goodnight kiss is seemingly normal and it being used in a chapter title signifies that it is not the end and this time it's for more personal and normal stuff
Maybe im reading to much into this , maybe im just stating the obvious and i know that rick is going to write 2 more books but i just had to get it out of my mind
I find it extremely funny when ppl try to excuse their blatant racism towards leah for being cast as annabeth but don't have that big of a problem with walker's hair
they always say "oH bUT bEIng BLOnd Is iMpoRTaNt tO hER CHAracteR"
No being blond isn't important to her character, being underestimated is
I love percabeth but pipabeth is just absolutely *chef's kiss*
The forehead touch lives rent free in my head
Elysian probably receives the souls and abilities of dead elves.
Think about it like Elysian is probably who gave all the elves their power so it would make sense if it takes it back after elves die...
Keefe's ability detecting power now makes some sense

Will introducing Nico to different cuisines: This is shrimp fried rice
Nico in awe: you’re telling me a shrimp fried this rice??
Percy in the kitchen commanding the shrimps: keep at it boys
Thinking about Jason Grace, a kid who fought for approvl for a parent he never really knew yet still feared. Felt like he couldn’t do anything without his father, praying to him for power. Boy who died and his father barely cared, boy who DIED FOR THE GODS and ultimately died for nothing, STILL not getting tbe one thing he wanted for most of his life. Jason Grace is really a sixteen year old kid isn’t he? Because god knows I felt the same. God knows Jason Grace. I know. i know.
Ya’ll are sleeping on my boy Franks potential for angst.
- body dysmorphia (blessing of Ares, not being traditionally what people expected of a Roman, etc)
- lack of identity and self doubt (so much, so, so very much)
- parental trauma
- grandparent trauma
- emotional insecurity
- being asked to go on a life-altering highly dangerous quest he was almost prophesied to die on while being fully convinced he was gonna die less than a month or 2 after his mom died, only for his grandma to die(?) as well due to the quest
- alienated by all his peers and friends for being the only one who’s truly Roman
- etc
Like when you think about it he’s quite similar to Percy, but he gets overshadowed by everyone because uncle Rick didn’t flesh him out properly (imo)
I’m genuinely angry about that. Like everyone else gets good development and character growth (aside from Jason but he died and got development then) aside from Frank, really. He had so much potential with it too—
I find it so funny that Matthias of all people probably knows the most vulgar form of Kerch known to mankind on account of learning it in prison.
Matthias, after stubbing his toe: *the most vile vulgar atrocious string of curses you’ve heard in your life*
the other crows: *staring in horror* 😨
Kaz, whistling: Damn, Helvar. I didn’t even know some of those.
