Happy belated anniversary!! 🤍
accidentally out this in the same post w/e GUYS SHE GAVE EI AN INVITATION IM GONNA FUCKING CRYYYY
i still find it so funny that they literally had to have kenji tell us that "IT'S OKAY IT'S OKAY EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE" because of how depressing the situation was
Admittedly, something I’ve liked in the past couple of chapters is that even with an occasional barb or complaint thrown in, there’s been a surprising lack of hostility between Dazai and Chuuya.
Like, we’ve had crumbs of this — of them caring for each other and looking after each other — before but it’s been so consistent in the last few chapters and it feels so very in our faces as well, front and center.
Like, Chuuya keeps trying to almost console and reassure Dazai or at least help him figure out what’s wrong. Dazai’s never been as open or expressive, this chapter especially with him practically thinking out loud, that I can recall. Dazai’s showing behaviors that I don’t remember seeing before but fromChuuya’s words they’re habits of his.
They’re not constantly shooting insults or attacking each other (whether with words or physical moves). They’re basically just chilling as the danger is supposedly past (until Dazai got his revelation).
And I think it’s because they’re presumably completely alone for once.
They’re not in the Mafia base. They’re not in enemy territory with unconscious looks and their retrieval target close enough to possibly hear or see them if they wake up. They’re not stuck in a place surrounded by a dangerous ability or where the location of their allies is unknown, but could come across them at any time.
This might be the first time in the main manga where we can get a glimpse of what they’re like simply with each other.
And it’s really not so bad.
cyno is so silly i love it
idk if im late but i just realized how similar kazuha and tomo are to mafuyu and yuki AAAAAAAAAAA
they were inseparable until they weren't something something

"Quit it with that habit of rolling all over the ground whenever you're worrying. It's annoying to look at, Dazai" I CANT I CANT I CANT OH MY GOD THEY'RE SO FUCKING CUTE WHAT THE HELL AH YES OF COURSE CHUUYA KNOWS THAT DAZAI ROLLS ALL OVER THE GROUND WHENEVER HE'S WORRYING GOD ASAGIRI WHEN WILL WE GET AN ACTUAL HEART TO HEART BETWEEN THEM
you've really been keeping tabs on him haven't you chuuya truly the best of ex-partners
I finished all the Secret Summer Paradise event quests, and it hit me in the end why Kaeya’s vision is different or fixed. You could say in his new Sailwind Shadow outfit, in the quest dubbed as the dagger bandit outfit.
Because that’s Kaeya’s wish, that’s him being given a moment of mirage. That he too can be free from his shackles and burden. That he can abandon the position besdowed upon him by fate. Or perhaps that he doesn’t have to choose and can be both a Monstadter and a Khaenri’ahn.
But it’s all only a momentary fix/resolve to his problems.Â
In the end as Idyia says in the end and sort of something Kaeya and the others realized. The wishes of the founders of the lamp in the story and also the wishes of the visitors can only be granted/exist inside the bottle.
SO…
Only inside the magical bottle can Kaeya’s vision have three wings, while at the same time sport a Khaenri’ahn star behind it. Only inside the bottle can Kaeya feel free of his burden and feel like he too can belong.Â
Kaeya doesn’t mind the role of the Dagger Bandit, because in this bottle world he can be both a knight and a bandit, stand both on the good and the bad side. (this is also just a nudge to Kaeya’s existance as a hidden Khaenria’hn pawn in Monstadt taking also on a role of a knight. Basically playing a double role.)
But even Kaeya realizes this is only a dream, a play, a farytale. The opposition to Kaeya’s own words lays in the desrciption of the outfit, which starts as a dialog between Kaeya and Klee, but mostly it shines light to Kaeya’s inner thoughts.
And during his inner monolog, he brings out that the roles of people/characters have been given to them and thus dictated by fate. As he says a Bandit can’t carry out the role of a Knight and vice versa a Knight shouldn’t do shady stuff and backstabing. The ugly reality of Kaeya’s life and the world of tevyat is that a person/character needs to play out their role according to the rules/plan, otherwise they are betraying fate itself.
And as we have learned so far in the Genshin story, Fate can hardly be overturned. Each characters role has been pretty much set in stone by fate.
But Kaeya doesn’t yet want to ruin Klee’s wondrous innocence and thus he leaves that out and fills it with tales, as he recognizes that fate can be defided in dreams and farytales, which kind of fabricates a made up oppostion.
Here’s the part from the description:
There’s much more details hidden in the desciption, but for this now, I’m only bringing out the related stuff. (*cough* story of the bandit as a kid is probably just Kaeya’s childhood hidden in a farytale.*cough*..plssss Kaeya tell me the story!!!)
Anyways, I am going now, to brood over this whole connection.Â
Kaeya has managed to hide his reality behind a sunny, funny and cute summer event. Many of us thought this outfit was Hoyo tying the loose ends, but no, instead they brough us to the loose and showed us what it could be, but then snapped their fingers and ripped it away, telling us this is something Kaeya will not be given.
something about Dazai being comfortable enough around Chuuya to be vulnerable and let him see his genuine reactions (especially his genuine shock) as he processes out loud is SO SO IMPORTANT TO ME
plus Chuuya not being shocked to see the genius at work tells us this isn’t the first time he’s seen Dazai actively figuring things out in real time…
the way Chuuya knows Dazai's nervous habits— noticing that Dazai is worried, and subtly checking on him. the way Dazai drops his facade in favor of putting all of his focus into the mental game at hand is such an obvious sign of trust & closeness for someone like Dazai, whose facade is his main form of defense
how they interact with each other in the downtimes when there’s nobody's watching…
all i can think is, look how far they’ve come since they were 16 when Dazai couldn’t trust anyone with his plans. how even now, Dazai is always putting up his “all according to plan” front, even with the agency. how Chuuya is the one person we’ve seen him truly drop the mask around, and Chuuya doesn’t bat an eye. even their banter is ongoing, but subdued.
soukoku and their subtle displays of intimacy will be the death of me đź’”
