Any Sangwoo headcanons?ππ»ππ»
SANG-WOO?? ABSOLUTELY. MILLIONS. BILLIONS EVEN. iβm genuinely so glad i get this opportunity to talk abt him bc i feel kinda icky irl rn π
sang-woo HATES being late to things. being overly late to a function gives him a nauseous feeling (same)
he plays sudoku and he would ABSOLUTELY play other nytimes games.
he briefly tried contacts but he hated how they felt in his eyes so he gave them up
he would refuse to go to therapy because he sees it as wasted time in which he could be working instead.
his motherβs name is jang hye-ji
he regularly suffers from headaches/migraines. he also probably knocks himself out with ibuprofen.
PANICS when heβs sick. thinks heβs doomed, even when heβs got something small like a cold. partially because being sick makes him feel like heβs taking unnecessary time off and heβll fall behind, but also because the sickness fucks with his head and makes him super delirious.
extremely good at locking tf in and not getting distracted when it comes to work. will literally eliminate any distractions. (that's why he and gi-hun lost contact. /j)
has to drink insane amounts of water after waking up otherwise his throat will be usually a pain in the ass all day. that's what smoking all FUCKING day and attempting suicide by carbon monoxide will do to you. hoe /aff
likes chocolate (milk and dark) but fucking hates white chocolate. (same. that is just pure projection) he likes his chocolate INSANELY bitter though.
not too much of a sweet tooth. too much sugar makes him sick. prefers umami and bitter foods.
(free this man from the clutches of chainsmoking please. how is he not dead.)
lung cancer fears this man

Depressing Sangihun thought of the day:
In the years between S1 and S2, Gi-Hun researched the hotel where Sang-Woo stayed. Let's say everything was left untouched, so the messy room, the cigarettes, the empty bottles of soju, the bathtub left with undrained water, and the stove next to it was all in there, as an evidence of what Sang-Woo went thru before returning to the games. Two notes were left behind, one was wrinkled next to a trashcan, and the other was neatly placed on a desk, right next to his glasses.
The wrinkled was a suicide letter, apologizing for everything he did that led him to that place, especially apologizing to his mother for being a failure and dragging her into his crimes.
The neatly letter explained he was brought another opportunity to fix his mistakes, and might dissappear in the attempt. He explains all the details he knew about the first game but didn't expect anyone to believe him. If he doesn't come back, it would be because he failed at the attempt. If he did come back, he would fix his mistakes. But won't stay for long either, as he didn't see any purpose, even if he had the chance to start over.
Gi-Hun took everything with him, his suits, personal items, and his glasses. Hoarding everything into a room, but his glasses. He kept those in the nightstand beside his bed, staring at it for long hours.
still canβt believe santos and whitaker are roommates, like itβs a thing thatβs actually going to happen and there will definitely be a scene where they call each other trinity and dennis. it feels like something a writer on ao3 would come up with but its actually a bunch of writers maximizing their joint tv vet realness.
vanish into you author here (but u already know that cleave LOL)
iβm thinking about how hair is known to be one of the mediums ghosts are able to easily manipulate in ghosts folklore (at least from what iβve read)
hehe. hehehehehehhehehehehehe
izzy. izzy, what are you planning. i'm scared.
my initial thoughts:
mi-nyeo's hair getting even longer. like to-the-floor long.
ji-yeong's highlights glowing at night/in the dark.
deok-su steals picks up a hairband from one of the other dead players. just because i want to see his hair up again.
sang-woo's bangs getting longer when he's agitated (like whenever he sees in-ho or something) .
ali's hair getting fluffier or curlier when he's upset.
i used to be too shy to interact w fanfic authors, but after i finally started to do so, that i realised they're the same @ me
santos' drunkenly revealing to (equally drunk) whitaker those parts of her past. and for a moment, she just studies him. expecting him to get a little sad, maybe. unintentionally pitying. tell her he's sorry that happened. but he's just sitting there, staring at the wall. and when he opens his mouth, it's this pure, raw anger that she wasn't even sure he was capable of. it's low and shaky and she can't find herself a voice to interrupt him because what the fuck was even happening right now? the morning after, he's making breakfast and two prairie oysters before santos even wakes. they don't mention it again.

"It's almost like a sibling thing with Santos. It's been really fascinating to watch people's reactions to Santos, and she can rub a lot of people up the wrong way. But I think with Whitaker, I think he almost sees through her quite a lot. He grew up with five brothers, he's a sibling, so I think he really just sees someone who is coping in their own way by deflecting with jokes and jabs. So I don't think it actually bothers him that much, and I think Santos sort of knows that as well. I'm an easy target, but she knows she's not really gonna affect me." β Gerran Howell (x)
ISA BRIONES & GERRAN HOWELL as TRINITY SANTOS & DENNIS WHITAKER in THE PITT: Season One
I love how The Pitt's use of the small time scale shows how quickly trauma (or just collaboration in any high pressure environment) can create bonds. Specifically I'm talking about Whittaker and Santos. I'm rewatching from the beginning after watching the finale, and in s1e1 when Whittaker complains about money problems, Santos just smirks and is like "sell a kidney." By the end of the season, she offers for him to move in with her.
This is like a season's worth of relationship development and character development for Santos especially. But like. Over the time span of one day. Less than 24 hours. That is just insane to think about. And yet. It makes sense. Because they endured insane trauma together and even before that, they were comrades in arms facing a constant onslaught of patients and expectations. It is just such good writing and something I've never seen before. I'm sure this has been said a million times but like. A full season of character development. One day. Both make sense. Wow.
