sentences from my wip matt/juan hurt/comfort fic that i had a little giggle while writing because matt engarde third person limited pov is one of my favorite writing styles:

- ...he doesn’t know where to put his hands and they rest awkwardly on Matt’s shoulders, and there’s enough space in between them to appease Jesus at a fucking middle school dance. [just to clarify the 'he' here is not Juan]

- ...the guy’s only sticking his tongue in Matt’s mouth and not doing anything with it. He’s like a frog. [this is the same guy as above, still not Juan]

- He slurs out a response that amounts to something something whiskey dick, and he’s in the clear for now.

- Matt’s in a high enough tax bracket that buying everyone in this seedy shithole three rounds of his favorite top shelf brandy wouldn’t make a dent in his monthly earnings, but he’s not the type to turn down free booze.

Okay yeah after thinking a bit more I'd really like to see Ubers!Kira in the NEL. Just hear me out okay??

With it also being said that there were talks of him potentially playing for U-18 he's probably at least vaguely familiar with them and the U-20 guys so putting him with Aiku and Sendo could be smart! I think they'd work well together. I also think his dynamic with Barou would be SOOO interesting, especially to see how they go from rivals in the first selection to forced teammates now.

Also I think that Kira's ego development would be so cool to see. Idk how exactly I'd envision Kira's ego developing, like obviously he's gotta get a little self centered to be able to survive bllk but I would like to think more than anything his one goal is to prove Ego wrong. His ego is revolving around his distate for Ego and his belief that "I can only destroy the system from the top".

and what if i rewrite blue lock with kira as a protag just because i like him and i miss him . what happens then? what if he gets to be a lovely protagonist of his story solely because i think he is neat??? he and isagi get a sort of rival best friends relationship throughout first selection, second selection gives him the reo team-up for a moment, exploring how he feels about abandoning the high school team we've seen him care so deeply for to play in the u-20 match. to win over the u-20 team. to already have a big fanbase going into the nel??? im undecided on exactly which team he'd play for but i saw really pretty ubers kira art a little bit ago.

i don’t know man, maybe it’s because i have a life? because outside of fandom i have a partner and a job and other hobbies that aren’t just writing things for free for people who are clearly ungrateful. or because i’m tired and don’t have the mental capacity or i simply changed my mind?

either way, i know the answer to this question probably doesn’t matter to you. all you want is to complain to the source of your issue, which normally i’d simply ignore and delete but today i am so fucking over being treated like a machine.

matt x juan is something so dear to me and my canon divergent mind i just think they love each other and it got fucked over when matt started getting into drugs and The Inpax Bullshit started but yeah in a better world where matt has rehab and therapy i just think him and juan would be so good. enrida/juangarde my beloved.

just. matt using dude/bro romantically but also having the cheesiest french pet names he uses for juan. the two of them back in a hotel room after an award show just slow dancing with the city skyline as their backdrop. matt being juan's muse for all the love songs he writes but juan will Never admit to this.

and i would like to imagine the rivalry they had is something they made up for shits and giggles (and publicity) and they are actually really good friends and just were taught that any press is good press so matt went "hey y'know what'd get 'em all talking???" and at age 12-13 brought this idea up to juan.
