Hey fellow Tumblr users! Happy pride month! Just wanted to inform you all about how I intend to celebrate the fun gay times now that I have some free time (FINALLY!!). First off, I’m finishing Myth May. I have it basically finished in my notes app, so I’ll post those on here soon enough. I intend to celebrate June with some information on my favorite historical gays so that we can keep the queer spirit high all month long. Delirious, Middle-Of-The-Night Review of Moulin Rouge (+Update)

OK! HELLO! So I got to see Moulin Rouge on the 21st (today, technically) and I gotta give you my honest review. I am IN LOVE with this musical!! All I knew originally was that it was about hookers and I was excited for it in a… different way but OH. MY GOD. The music was perfection, the casting was absolutely spectacular, and don’t even get me started on the costumes or lighting. UGH!! I am head over heels for the man that played Christian and the JD vibes I got from that man. And my favorite song, El Tango De Roxanne, did NOT disappoint at all! Honestly, if you can see it you absolutely HAVE to! Annnyways, I’ve been on a whirring high at the hours of 10:50 on - 11:30 pm, so every time I’m struck with inspiration I try to wrap up my Myth May stuff. For June, I’m gonna be mass posting movie reviews (and maybe a book) for pride. It’ll be one for each week (so 5) and it should be out sometime next week. Thanks for the patience you all have had with me! Have a wonderful morning/afternoon/evening/night!

-please make sure you are aware of your surroundings. staring at the sky with dark glasses leaves you kinda vulnerable, so be by people you trust in a safe environment.

-eclipses can be seen as culturally bad, but really they are transformative. do something new, go see a friend, go on a date, buy a cake or something.

-go leave a flower on your loved ones grave or something. some Native American tradition calls this a time of mourning, so pay attention little live for those who can’t be with you to see the eclipse.

-no, this is not the end of the world. it’s just really cool.

-if your really worried that you like contracted a space disease then go and take a bath after. and if you’re not, take one just to relax. bathes are fun.

drink some water, grab your glasses, head to your lawn and enjoy the view. if you’re not in the path of totality or just won’t be seeing it at all, then enjoy the experience of knowing that’s somewhere on this planet something monumental is happening and you are alive for it.
