a/n : omg another post! are you excited for me? are you? are you? well im excited thank you. this has been a draft for a minute that i'm finally getting around to posting. anyways i hope you enjoy!

You knew it was a long day just by the sound of the front door. From the way he fumbled with his keys and shoved the door open, how it took a little longer to close than normal. You peered over the couch, watching him come into the living room from the hallway. He looked exhausted, shoulders slouched, head tilted towrads the floor, and his hair a complete mess.

"Hey, baby," You called, trying not to let your worry show on your face, "How was work?"

The grumble he let out as he removed his scarf told you everything.

"Long day?" You stretched your hand out to him, inviting him onto the couch. He took it, slowly sinking next to you and letting his head fall onto your shoulder.

You intertwined your fingers, "I made dinner, and the cats are fed."

He hummed in response, and you stifled a smile.

"C'mere," You shifted the both of you so he could lay on your chest, his legs between yours. He instinctually wrapped his arms around your waist, and you couldn't help but grin as he snuggled into you.

"I missed you," You sighed, tangling your fingers into his hair, gently starting to remove the tangles that had built up over the day.

If he hadn't already, he was now completely melting into you.

You listened to his breaths and gently played with his hair. Tangled from the long work day, you tried your best to work the knots out with your fingers.

After several minutes of him recovering, he mumbled into your chest, "What would I ever do without you."

You smiled, tilting his head up so you could see his gorgeous face, "Starve, die of countless injuries, freeze. I don't know, but your prospects were never very good."

He stifled a chuckle, "My hero."

You kissed him softly, "Yours. Forever and always."
