I'd pretend to be shocked, but we all knew this investigation was political theater meant to only grab headlines and reinforce the narrative to people who don't pay much attention to the news that Trans People Bad.
Like, the damage is already done. I find little comfort in knowing what I think most of us on the pro-trans already knew: medical professionals are extremely careful and follow the already very strict guidelines when providing care for the extremely small population of transgender children.
Because the narrative has been fully dictated by the anti-trans side, the idea that our medical care is some how experimental (when it's been around for almost a century in some cases), dangerous, or will cause massive regret (when trans affirming care has lower regret rates than knee and hip surgery).
yeah man that group of queer people really are evil fakers stealing ur resources. for real this time yeah. no it's not dumb meaningless exclusionist discourse that you're traumatizing a group of fellow queer people with this time, it's a good thing this time. keep sending those people death threats and talking about how they're not oppressed enough you're really doing so much good for the queer community
Look, this is probably going to end up as an unpopular post, because God knows the level of brainrot capitalism and fast consumption caused in people's brains, but I'd rather not get TV shows for a while if it means writers get their rights defended and recognized.
Entertainment can't come at the cost of fair pay, healthy work environment and ethical practices.
Every time there's something about "straight passing" couples being not experiencing homophobia then bi people get pushed further away from their rightful community. Also this idea that trans men can perfectly pass and gain all privelages of a cis man.
People really need to take a good look at how much emphasis they place on the supposed "privelages" that someone who appears more cis and straight or male has over other LGBT people.
"Passing" in any way is entirely conditional and can be taken away the instant something slips or a stranger scrutinizes you enough. Walking on eggshells and hoping you aren't found out and risk facing violence is not this great privelage you may think it is.
Remember the trans panic defense? That realizing a sexual partner is trans is used as a defense to murder them? So they "passed" until they didn't, and it actually led to them being killed. Passing did not protect them.
Also there's this idea that any couple that appears to be man + woman will never get clocked as queer. That they can never be queer. That bisexuals don't have the same level of queerness as a lesbian woman or a gay man. But they do. They can be flamboyant, butch, femme, anything that any other queer person can be.
A very beautiful image of these smiley blackfoot. It seemed everything was alright…

Hi, my name’s Marc. I'm a disabled, openly-queer and intersex indigenous-Asian man who makes art when his spinal cord injury isn't chaining him to bed. I make a fraction of minimum wage, and despite my best efforts, the already laughably-low rate I'm paid monthly has been halved without warning. All of my income has to go to food for my elderly parents and younger brother – I no longer have any money left in our combined budget for anything other than food. I'm at a loss for what to do other than open pay-what-you-want commissions, so here we are. Here're some examples of my work:
Humanoid, furry/anthro, feral, mech & robot, landscape, character design, and NSFW including kinks are all OK. I'm open to doing subjects and topics not listed as well. Price quotes are free and asking for subject-specific examples is welcome.
You can see more examples and my ToS on my Ko-Fi page and pay for a commission there.
Wow! Here’s something incredibly personal.
This is Good Bi Gender. A comic I made to express some feelings I have about my gender. I don’t really have that much else to say about it. Here it is.
Is funny when doctors and other peeps act like my problem is that I’m obsessed w/ my disability. Um no. You have it backwards. The problem is I HAVE to be cuz it is a constant problem.
i honestly don't think it gets talked enough about how gay men can have a very nuanced relationship with gender, complex genders, and "contradictory" identities a lot of the time. i think a identifying as a man only gets forced on to gay men a lot these days, but so many gays identify as nonbinary, transfem, women, bigender, genderfluid, genderqueer, gnc, a crossdresser, a lesbian, and many more things. i love you, gays with weird genders
