What do humans have against catkins?

Like, just the other day, I overheard my family make a joke, "and some people identify as cats." It was the only part I could hear, but it made me realize something.

Every time people talk about therians/otherkins, it's always the cats they go after.

Which says a lot about how little they know.

Just recently did I realize I had a raccoon theriotype. I knew I had a seperate identity for the shifts I got associated with raccoons but not until around March or April did it finally click! night time, junk food, abandoned areas, being rowdy and messy, are some things I like to associate with this type.
