Deku vs Kacchan 2 took all the elements from S1 that were destroyed and chaotic and fixed them just like their bond.
Bakugou’s very first smile in the show is one of malicious contempt, mocking Deku’s attempt at standing up to him; during their fight Bakugou smiles because Deku is finally taking him seriously and using his power, attacking him with all his strenght, just like he asked him to.
When Bakugou talks about their future and how he will do better to surpass him his mind brings up Deku’s notebook, the one he burned, in its original state. One of the warnings he gave Deku to face reality and stop fantasizing about being a hero, now with the book fixed he acknowledges Deku’s dream of being a hero.
The line separating them since the opening is still there because they haven’t overcome all obstacles to raise each other up yet but the eye contact shows they are aware of each other, Bakugou is not fearing Deku and Deku doesn’t feel rejected by Bakugou. The have realized there’s a potential for more in the future, that the other has what they need to be a complete and the best heroes. After talking to All Might the line separating them is replaced by a white line, and it’s coming from All Might’s path, after all he is the one to change their perspective and it’s thanks to him they stand side by side at the same stage instead of chasing each other.

Instead of sleeping, I decided I could try and get used to CSP drawing this thing that I previously did traditionally but also with way less stuff.

me, reading bnha and trying real hard not to read bkdk into everything: so katsuki saved deku and got injured. Which resulted in deku finally losing it even though he hadn’t lost it yet when people literally died right in front of his eyes
me: why the fuck am I even trying? And here I thought his anger to monoma’s remark was all we would get but no, he gotta prove his feelings for katsuki again and again.
