Augmented Reality devices

By observing existing products of the rehabilitation market one thing becomes clear. People with functional disabilities are restricted on current technology wheelchairs. Their mobilty is highly confined, even in environments specially designed for them. They are in an almost permanent sitting position and they aren't able to use anything intended for an able-bodied person. A closed door, a light switch or an ATM are out of reach. Existing standing powered wheelchairs are expensive, heavy and bulky. They also lack the ability to overcome small architectural barriers.

Laddroller combines an exoskeleton with a powered wheelchair. It offers simultaneous maneuverability from standing position and posture adjustment without additional complex mechanisms. Laddroller is a light and solid unit with small turning radius and minimal maintenance needs. It operates easily from any position of the user's posture and is able to climb curbs and overcome gaps even going forward thanks to its differentiated approach. High quality metal alloy frame, state of the art electronics, reliable motors and the ease of use, compile a unique, effective and promising product.

Laddroller is a patented invention of Dimitris Petrotos and Marios-Ermis Petrotos, a 3 year R&D project that it is already prototyped.

Enjoying delicious strawberries, it feels that its life has reached its peak. In fact, happiness is so simple, you have to work hard to please yourself.

This gif contains what is probably my favorite background detail of Megamind. Megamind has just ordered Metroman’s death after trapping him in the copper dome. Of course, since it’s Megamind, it doesn’t work, and Metroman just stares at him. We learn later that Metroman faked his death, and used his super speed to wander around the town while having an existential crisis.

He first visits Megamind, having found his real hideout:

and then goes to the park, the library, a diner, etc, and finally, the Metroman museum:

before returning to the dome and faking his death.

Now, what’s really fun about the first gif is that, if you look closely, you can see Metroman fade slightly for two frames right after he rolls his eyes. If you look even more closely, you can see him in one frame standing behind Megamind, and in one frame on the upper deck of the museum. Look at it again. See the flicker?

There is a bit of a continuity error, though. In the first gif, Metroman uses his superspeed while everyone is waiting for the death ray to work. But in Metroman’s retelling, he leaves while Megamind is yelling “FIRE!” to Minion. You can hear Megamind yell in this video:

So the fun of this detail is a little bit broken by the continuity error. But I think it’s an intentional continuity error, made at the points of drama in both scenes. I mean, look at this dynamic face that Megamind is making here. Pretty cool looking:

Anyway, there’s a fun fact about Megamind!

Oh my god, I've just seen this story on instagram about this guy that filled his bathtub with waterbead...except he didn't think about how he was going to empty it.

So he unplugged the bathtub which was apparently the worst idea he could possibly have because this happened

So he panicked and started asking people on the internet what he should do. Which was also a bad idea.

First suggestion: flush the toilet

This caused a smelly overflow that flooded the whole bathroom.

Second suggestion: vaccum the beads

His vaccum caught fire.

At this point it had actually spread to the neighborhood and people came to ask question but he denied knowing anything about it. He then discovered that it's invaded the whole sewer system.

And yet, he continued to take suggestion from the internet.

Third suggestion: put salt in

It actually worked. Well, until.

Poop apprently started flooding his house.

And then the streets.

It all happened yesterday so we're still waiting on an update on the situation but I hadn't laugh like this in a while.

It's in french, but you get it even if you don't speak it and his screams of panic are hilarious
