finally getting around to this… because I WOULD LOVE NOTHING MORE THAN TO SHARE THESE!!!!
this week has been a little hectic so kinda delayed oopsies
i’m starting this off by saying this greatly diverges from canon in a few ways while attempting to explain certain aspects IN canon, so this is more like. idk. my version of the admins lore. well. me and my friends at least. shout out gregg best pal in the world👊👊👊
okay so!
while the canon game implies that the admins GAINED their powers somehow (they used to be. yk. normal), in our version, they were always like that. they’re literally the world’s gods, yk? here are some quick basics:
-they are beings made of stardust and light, the oldest “people” in the universe.
-they’re all technically agender, and only began identifying/presenting as different to be closer to humanity.
-fred was the first. xara came after, and finally romeo.
now expanding on that a bit. fred wasn’t just the first, he was the ONLY one for a little bit. xara and romeo were formed from his light. so every time a new one was formed, a fraction of fred’s power would “trickle down” basically, meaning they all varied in strength based on the order they formed. so fred the strongest, xara next, and obviously, finally, romeo.
despite their origins, they don’t really have a concept of familial relationships, and consider each other equals- or just friends.
each admin represents a balance. a balance that was obviously thrown off after fred’s death.
fred represents life. romeo, while a bit cliché, death. and xara represents everything in between. a sort of purgatory, i guess.
fred- his “realm” is the earth/overworld. though due to his nature, he meant for it to be shared. rather than taking it solely for himself, he intended it be a place for both him AND his friends to create together. he’s responsible for plants, trees, most passive animals, things like that.
xara- her realm is the end. a vast, seemingly endless void connected by islands. the end is connected to everything. every world, every realm. if you travel far enough, you can find yourself anywhere. it’s filled with bustling cities, chorus fruit trees, and is full of life! xara is responsible for endermen, phantoms, zombies/skeletons, and most neutral mobs.
romeo- his realm is the nether, which too, once held stable cities and civilizations. it was not always so hot and dangerous, of course. romeo is responsible for creepers, pigmen, and most hostile mobs. not out of malice; but it’s a required balance.
after fred’s death and xaras defeat, both romeo and xaras realms fell to waste. sort of like how the terminal operates. the end turned cold. emptier. the worlds no longer properly connected through one realm. cities fell to ruin. the nether turned into a hot, unforgiving wasteland, civilizations there crumbling as well.
but fred’s stayed together. despite romeo being the only admin remaining, fred’s realm is the one that lived on. why? because romeo lost himself. he wasn’t the same. and neither was xara, broken apart by the betrayal. but fred’s memory and legacy persisted, almost mocking romeo. that’s when he took it into his own hands.
before everything went absolutely horrible, romeo was more of an annoying little prankster type. like that little brother that won’t leave you alone. many things he created to mess with his friends, and humans, but it was all in good fun for him. pretty much any little annoyance is because of him.
however, despite his mischievous nature, he too, gave gifts to the world and humanity. he provided the night and day, he brought the snow. it’s important to remember he wasn’t always… terrible.
he had a habit of copying other’s creations, which fred mediated by making compromises, and also taking credit for certain things, but again, just an annoying little brother type.
the admins used to be extremely close with humans, living amongst them in the overworld (now current underneath), and being almost a direct part of their community. (that’s where their settlements come in)
fred was the closest. a kind, gentle soul made him fall in love with humanity, forming close friendships with them and feeling like he was part of them. he didn’t rely much on his powers, and preferred to engage in more mundane, “normal” activities like painting, farming, fishing, etc.
after his death, the people were well aware. sort of. all they knew was that one of their god’s had been killed, and the rest of them suddenly abandoned them without explanation. then of course, their world fell into ruin. just like the others. for most people, the admins became nothing but stories, but many still held on to their connection with them- especially the people of fred’s keep- and kept the memories alive for generations. (people currently alive in the underneath were not at all alive when the admins were around. that’s many generations down the line)
people still following under romeo do so either out of fear, or hope that one day their gods will return to help them. this never happened.
more basic headcanons :
-romeo was only able to successfully kill the strongest of them because fred was so docile. he didn’t want to hurt his friend. and neither of them were aware they even COULD be killed.
-romeo was able to defeat xara because he had absorbed a bit of fred’s power/light when he died. he became stronger. this is also the case for what happened to xaras light after her powers were taken away.
-allays were romeo’s attempt at bringing fred back. they’re made from his remaining dust. it was unsuccessful.
-romeo used to visit xara frequently to try and explain himself. she either refused to speak with him, or attempted to attack him. he became frustrated and bitter by this, deciding he didn’t need her.
-old builders were the first “people.” i’ll go into detail about this when i do my old builder hcs!
-admin’s don’t have “blood” like we do. it’s a strange glowy dust.
-their markings glow sometimes!! :3
-anyone see the last unicorn? yeah. when admin’s get their powers taken away, they basically are trapped in a painful mortal body. they feel everything. but they cannot naturally die.
i don’t know if i forgot anything but i do have a lot more lore. a lot more.
Prepare yourself.
hi med! idk if you know about her yet, but there's a palestinian woman named Noury over on twitter who's also a jjk fan!! people have rallied around her love for Gojo, and a bunch of artists have drawn Gojo with sunflowers in honour of her.
Noury recently lost an eye and injured her drawing hand severely in an attack on Gaza. She's gotten surgeries for both and is in recovery right now. JJKtwt is currently trying to come together and muster up donations for Gaza, it's an event that includes artists, writers etc. I was wondering if you could share this link to help drum up some fandom support :)
