Does Anyone Else Wonder How Izzy’s Alcoholism-adjacent Habits Will Play Out In Her Relationship With

Hey, I'd like to try something. To whoever wants to: describe a character as if you were seeing them for the first time. It can be an existing character or an OC (doesn't have to be human). I'd love to draw someone elses idea and I'll be sure to draw as many as possible. I'm in the middle of exams and need a scapegoat so... Hit me with your best shot.

Like at first he'd be scared but after a while he'd just be really chilled about it, and the kidnappers would get so annoyed.

Kidnapper: If your friends don't give me the i formation i need, I'll break that pretty little face of yours-

Simon: aw you think I'm pretty?

Kidnapper: you won't be talking like that when i break your fingers one by one, cut them off and feed them to you. If they dont come soon-

Simon: dude, i get it. You'll kill me. Unless i die of boredom first. Do you ever stop talking? I mean I've been told i never stop talking but jeez, you're getting a bit much.

Kidnapper: I -

Simon: do you ever wonder why you exist? I mean, I know I was conceived, but why am I actually here? How many random events occurred to create me? What if i were to just dissapear. Would people notice? Would they cry? Being kidnapped gives you afew perspectives on just how terrifyingly random life is. I wouldn't have ever been able to read lord of the Rings. Oh. You look confused. You've never read it? That's ok, I'll tell it to you, we have all the time in the world. So it starts with this...

Kidnapper: * unties him*

Simon: what are you-

Kidnapper: just.. Just go.

Kidnapper: we have your vampire friend.

Izzy: Simon?

Kidnapper: Yes. And if you want him back, we want all information on Valentine and the Mortal Cup.

Clary: Trust me, that won't be necessary.

Alec: Yeah, you took Simon. Good luck with that.

Kidnapper: Wha-?

Call hangs up

Kidnapper: ...

Simon: So, have you watched Star Wars?

I think since the new york kids grew up around only their parents and tutor (all being from idris), their accents would be sort of british but with an Americanized dialect (if that makes any sense). And since the la kids grew up more around mundanes, watching movies and stuff and not around anyone really from idris l, their accents would be american.

hi Dani! what accent do you think TMI gang and TDA gang might have ? like i know in the movies they had British accent and we also know it makes sense for Idris living people to have British or European accent considering it is around France , Germany and( Britain?) , but they had American accent in show. and does Los Angeles people have a different accent , i never noticed to be honest , but what accent do you think faeries speak in?

I think all Shadowhunters who grew up in idris have a slightly British or even European accent. As we know their vocabulary is also a little different - I have a feeling they speak in a very formal way. Like instead of going “excuse me?” they just go “I beg your pardon” 🤭🤭. I mostly noticed this when I read the scenes of The Circle members or even just any interaction with a older shadowhunter.

The younger ones (tmi and tda gangs) definitely have accents that are more rooted in their hometown. I think this is mostly because they never really grew up in idris and grew up in New York and LA respectfully. I don’t exactly know how to differentiate between the two accents myself but I do know they are slightly different. But I think they might sound a lil similar - once again because of their vocabulary. But yeah I’m pretty sure there is a difference between how day Alec and Julian would sound like in terms of their accents.

As for faeries, I always imagined them having a very musical accent - as if they are not talking but reciting poetry. They also have a distinctive vocabulary (and times grammar) so I think their accent is kinda cool :)

I am absolutely certain that Simon was the captain of his school’s debate team. I know a podium hates to see him coming.

simon lewis is his own pov is so funny because I was rereading the scene of him summoning Raziel and the way he's like "oh I don't know how introduce myself because I'm just Some Guy who has no titles or great deeds to his name :/" DUDE YOU KILLED LILITH?????????

Reading about Wessa in TLH and reading about Clace, Malec or Sizzy in TDA is such a bittersweet experience because once again you realize that their story is over and closed and that you will never experience a new story where they are the main leads. You just realize how much you miss them. And I just know that I will have the same realization in TWP with Blackstairs.

Maybe I’m just in a Sebastian mood (yuck) but what I find really interesting is that in the Clay’s edom dream when we see good Sebastian… he literally just acts like Simon.

I feel like this is a way to reference the fact Simon is the closest thing Clary will ever actually have to a brother (the only real reference she has to a healthy brother). He makes jokes like Simon, makes fun of Jace, says sarcastic jokes and likes Izzy!

I also think it’s interesting that the that snapped Clary out of Edom is the fact Simon didn’t exist!

There relationship is soo underrated but it means soooo much to me!

So I have the mental capacity to become an absolute expert in a random and mostly useless field of knowledge, to master a new skill I only found the existence of yesterday and is not beneficial to me whatsoever, yet when it comes to the maths activity I've had to do for the past three weeks, I suddenly have the attention span of a compressed and dessicated potato.
