Have him basically declare Bruce an honorary second parent, and have the Wayne family consider him one of their own still, but he’s still got his dad and stepmom. I’d also focus more on him being a detective, rather than just an all around genius. Let Harper be the techie, while Tim is the mystery solving one. Additionally, fucking nail down an actual hair style/type for him. It changes from artist to artist constantly and that bugs me. And instead of retreading his relationship with Steph all the time, maybe pair him with either Kon or Tam?
