Wildcat Wearing Keffiyeh

Recently this tatreez + keffiyeh design in my fundraiser has been selling well so I wanted to reshare it:

As always EVERYTHING I EARN from my shop is for my best friend, a Palestinian grad student living in America. The money is sent home to support his friends and family in Palestine and around the rest of the Levant who are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the raids and economic devastation in the West Bank and the collateral damage in surrounding countries.

This design has been particularly popular on less common products recently, like phone cases. Here are some example products:

A new version of this design is now in my fundraiser shop, with a bitmap filter and "فلسطين حرة" (roughly "free Palestine").

EVERYTHING I EARN from my shop is for my best friend, a Palestinian grad student living in America. The money is sent home to support his friends and family in Palestine and around the rest of the Levant who are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the raids and economic devastation in the West Bank and the collateral damage in surrounding countries. For example a recent month's worth of sales went to a relative of his in Lebanon who is helping feed and shelter displaced people.

This design uses a keffiyeh from an open source photo with eyes from a vintage illustrated movie poster. You can find it here on a variety of products (stickers, clothes, prints, etc). Here are some examples of products with this design:

Trying something a little different today, here's my first attempt at pixel art. The design can be found here, it was made with stickers in mind but it is available on a lot of products.

As usual, ALL PROCEEDS from my designs are for my Palestinian best friend, to help him support his girlfriend in remaining safely in America until things calm down and to help his friends and family in Palestine and around the rest of the Levant who are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the increasing Israeli raids in the West Bank and the collateral damage in surrounding countries. He will donate anything his family doesn't need to the Palestinian charities he works with.

Here are some examples of products with this design: a sticker, poster and pin. I'll probably try to make a few more pixel art things sometime in the next couple weeks and then put some of them together in a sticker pack for people who want small versions (extra tiny stickers seem to me to suite this art style well).

I run a fundraising shop where I sell Palestine related designs and all income goes to keeping my best friend's family safe. My friend graciously agreed to model the gym shirt I got him from the shop:

The left is the product mockup, the right is my friend (cropped to protect privacy of course). It's still a little wrinkly from the package here but I think it turned out nicely. The printing is pretty light and thin which I guess is unsurprising for a stretchy exercise shirt, I imagine it will be heavier on the standard clothes. He says it's comfortable and it held up through our workout with no issues.

New Dove Design

I am absolutely in love with the Reem Kufi font (on the left), it's a beautiful blend of historical and modern design (though a little hard to read if you're still new to Arabic, haha). The Arabic characters were designed by Khaled Hosny if you want to check out the artist. I've used it for a bunch of simpler designs as well on my Redbubble recently.

As usual, ALL PROCEEDS from these designs are for my Palestinian best friend, to help his girlfriend afford to join him safely in America and to help his friends and family in Palestine and around the rest of the Levant who are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the increasing Israeli raids in the West Bank and the collateral damage in surrounding countries. He is a brilliant scientist and the kindest man I have ever known, I hate seeing him suffer like this and want to help in whatever small way I can.

My favorites are probably the art nouveau print one, the NASA photography one and the bulbul holding a flag.

Recently we've started trying to help a friend of his get out of Gaza to an Egyptian university to continue their studies, if we can obtain the necessary permissions for them. If not the money will probably just go to helping a few more people get food.

The money is sent home to support his friends and family in Gaza, in the West Bank and sometimes those elsewhere in the Levant caught up in the conflict (such as the many displaced people in Lebanon). Right now the situation is looking increasingly desperate in the West Bank, 40,000 people are already displaced and we're scared to see how far things are going to escalate. Thankfully most of his immediate family are safe for now.

Here are some new pieces for my fundraiser. The keffiyeh is edited from this open source work by a photographer in Gaza and the eyes are cut from a vintage movie poster. On the left the backdrop is the graffiti from a wall in Bethlehem (بيت لحم) in the West Bank.

He will donate anything his family doesn't need to the Palestinian charities he works with. He's heavily involved in activism and I trust him to put the money where it can make the most difference.
