oh my goodness. oh my word. I love this so much
It's one of my favorite images ever, a promo for Horseplayer featured in this set of scans by @exdeputysonso
But expanded, and cleaner... and changed from that (beautiful) brooding, haunted, melancholy look to this (incredible) defiant, hunted side-eye! And a tear! (And a chibi Gediman for flavor!)
Oof, the colors... And the hair, and the way it curls around his ear...
OP has really kicked it up another few notches. Wowee. 🥵
on a roll tonight.. dourif time
how dare they make us choose between these two chaotic darlings 💔
lotssss of great content coming out in the propaganda tho
Billy Dee Williams (Star Wars films)- No text propaganda submitted
Alexander Siddig (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine)- The man has aged like fine wine and we still don't have an HD Deep Space Nine because no one could handle Sid in higher-def than the 90s could provide. We'd explode from the hotness.
Additional propaganda:
Billy Dee Williams:
Alexander Siddig:
This man is so hot, a straight man looked at him, thought how hot he was, and proceeded to try and pick him up in character. And tells everyone who will listen about it.
Where do I even begin? Here’s a man who is beautiful inside and out, who is best loved for a character who is beautiful inside and out. As Dr. Julian Bashir for 7 seasons of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Alexander Siddig infused gentleness, wit and humor into his role. He was originally meant to be the hot love interest, but everyone soon realized that wasn’t working out. Naive, annoying and a know-it-all, people hated Bashir (and by extension Siddig), but Sid and the writers were playing a long game, and through incredible character growth Bashir became one of Trek’s beloved characters. Oh, you want more about Siddig’s looks? Tall, slender (some people say he’s mostly leg), sparkling grey/green eyes, fluffy Black hair and cinnamony skin, with a soft British-accented voice that purrs as he’s turns on Julian’s bedside manner, but can also be sharp like glass if he needs to take the moral high-ground (which Bashir frequently does). I know people who’d be upset if I didn’t mention his long, graceful fingers either, because he’s frequently holding a patient’s hand when they need his touch most.
he was hot then and he's hot now
Sound on!
Obsessed with this Progeny interview posted by @exdeputysonso (here) and gif'd by @tallaxia (here). He is. intolerably cute
This man was forty eight whole years old but he acts like a shy kid giving a book report — the sidelong gaze, the interlaced fingers, the halting speech, the mm-hmms, the look up and deep inhale while assembling a response, the politeness (in the original you can see where he stopped himself from saying scared the shit out of me)...
wrapped up in a deep, sedate tone of voice that's incredibly calming and warm and cozy, like a cream-colored, cable-knit sweater vest. 💞

not usually my thing but lord knows... lord knows... we could all use a little bagel right now
a new account, for *occasionally being disgusting on. hello
Genuine question, but how do you deal with knowing it’s impossible to create anything truly original? I’m a huge sci fi and horror fan, I love fucked up concepts and situations, but whenever I think I’ve come across a new concept, I eventually find something that touches upon the same or similar idea, and I lose all motivation to write. Like your story the fluid. I found it poignant and funny, but I just found ‘half a life’ by kid bulychev, and it sounds quite similar
Well I've listened to enough punk bands to know that almost everything has been done before but if you have enough fun with it it doesn't matter. I'm certainly not trying to be truly original, just to do what I like in a way that's fun for me. Sometimes I try to challenge myself to include a different kind of perspective, or an emotion I don't usually try to evoke, or to include an observation or a feeling, or to make something funny out of something that's not, but I'm not trying to think a thought that no one's ever had before. Maybe if I'm lucky it'll happen. Sometimes a wrinkle in your brain will yield something you didn't see coming. But I don't think you can try for it.
Brad Dourif movie bingo! For your thirstwatch Halloween marathon.
Don't remember whether I came up with "Dourisms" or saw it somewhere else, but there are SO MANY and so few squares on a bingo board! Reducing them to tiny phrases is another challenge; I might do some follow-up posts with gifs illustrating each column. (Surely not an excuse to dig through the media pile again...)
What are your favorite little Brad flourishes?
** Updated: Now with more bondage!
VALIDATION!! THis is what I’m TALKIN about, Jack and Raimi totally had Vibes. I gave them a moment in my Death Machine music video and knowing that he CHOSE to push Brad against the wall with that finger on his mouth is giving me the absolute vapors.

AAAAA I just sketched her as Gideon last night! I'm still learning, so it's a bit wonky but I guess this is my sign to release it.
lowkey keeping an eye on the camilla hect tag in case anyone gets inspired to draw her using Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat as a reference
I am just saying
