Exerpt from They the Wubbox, Chapter 15.5 : Still here, on Wattpad
The island, scorched under the sun, sat silently. Many of the monsters had stayed on, but many had died and were disposed of into the vast void below.
Mammot sat under a tree. The silence was sickening. No monster spoke. Not even Potbelly, the talkative ones. The heat was nearly unbearable, the heat was so hot, it felt like their skin would melt off at any moment. Would cold island be safe from this heat?
"Mammot, i have a confession." Fwog said as he stepped forward. His skin was nearly red from the sun.
"Yes?"
"Me and Clamble were the ones that made you guys fail the contest at Spooktacle. I saw how much it hurt you, but i was always to scared to appologize. I saw this as my only opportunity to tell you im sorry."
Mammot couldn't bring himself to be mad anymore.
"I forgive you. But if you were to tell me this not long ago, i would have been mad."
"Im glad you forgive me. It was really hard to find a way to apologize. You don't mind if it sit here, do you?"
"Go ahead."
The monsters around the island began to stand up and sit around the trees for shade. It was peaceful, but the thought of death was the only thing that kept the happiness drowned out.
