First morning I don't edit a chapter before breakfast in months. I'm feeling weird. Like there's this burning in my throat that just won't go away. I don't even want to eat anything. What is it I'm feeling? I always was horrible at being self-aware, so I guess I'll keep wondering...

"it's all in your head" correct! unfortunately I am also in there
I've been working on this for months.
Seeing as I'm reaching the end of my CD Original Book, I've been dabbling even more in my SoS Trilogy.
It's a difficult project. I need to have all three books outlined first, which will probably take 2025, 2026 AND 2027 to do. I'll probably write the first book in 2027...
(As for the TCIK book, it should be launched 2026 I think...)
But anyway, the reason I'm writing this is to say... I legit went through my main character in SoS's playlist and thought, 'not enough Lady Gaga'. Now I'm trying to find more of her songs to add. Most don't fit...
Well, I need to try anyway.
Cursed be the writer that posted a 'and everybody died in the most gruesome way possible' chapter on April's Fools.

Best thing about music:
When I have no clue what to write next, I just throw on a carefully curated playlist, hit play, and dance so silly the gods cringe from the heavens.
The ideas come.
Every. Time.
(If they donât, keep dancing. Sometimes it takes 15 hours or so)

Things are going great! I had this big problem with how I was going to introduce the letter exchange system between my protagonists because it was messy, with all these section breaks that I hear don't work well in kindle, too much repetition (like their addresses), it just didn't read right. Now it does...
Here's how I did it:
Transcript of the letters between:
â(Character's Name). (Address)
â(Character's Name). (Address)
(I put this at the beginning of the chapter)
Then before each letter, in bold:
(Character's Name)â
VoilĂĄ!
And at the first few letters I make clear who the character's writing.
This is the best system I've found... I researched all over the internet and no other system worked for my story.
Now, reading the chapters months after writing them, I've also cringed hard over some stuff, but oh well, I have enough time until September to fix them up. <3
hahahaha omg I'm 1) with sprinkles of 2)
There are two types of writers:
1. 'It's fiction, it doesn't need to make sense!'
2. 'I didn't account for the rotation of the planet and how that affects the constalations while my characters stargazed at different times of year, I have failed as a writer, and this entire thing is trash'
My family insists Iâm Kuzco, and my husband is Prince Caspian. The worst part? I canât even argue. Theyâre absolutely right.

Martin is famous for his âgardeningâ approach to plot development. He doesnât want to plot things out and build a fixed plot, he wants to imagine what all the characters are getting up to and let all of that together grow into something organically. Itâs a nice sentiment, it just doesnât work well with what he was doing.

Really interesting. I never thought about what I did was "gardening". Fascinating. I think the difference is, I do know exactly how I want to end, I do have strong ideas on the vibe and what happens. But I need time figuring out the in-betweens; how each character will act and the repercussions.
That's why I can spend years upon years planning a book. The planning bit is the most important part...
