Warnings/ A/n: Starts sad, because I felt sad and tired this morning, but now I’m better. Really weird moods. But you don’t care about that, do you?

“I don’t wanna go.” You sobbed into your mother’s embrace. Gripping tightly onto her tunique.

“You don’t have a choice.” She kissed your forehead, thumb caressing your cheek.

“No.” You shook your head, your voice muffled from being buried against her, your tears staining her dress. “No, I don’t.”

Her heart clenched at your broken tone. She loved you so much. But she knew she had to let you go, no matter how painful it was.

She hugged you tightly, and you both breathed each other’s scent in.

You didn’t want to go. Didn’t want to leave. Didn’t want to let go of this warm relaxing place. You wanted to stay here. Forever.

“I love you so much.” She whispered against your ear.

Before injecting you with a syringe, making you sleepy and weak.

You fought with all your will against the slumber. Gripping as tightly as you could to her clothes.

But it was to no use.

You were exhausted. From all the crying or from whatever she put into your system.

She kissed you one last time. And the last thing you saw was her broken smile. Her glistening eyes. Full of love, sadness and longing, but most importantly, hope that you’d survive.

“I love you so much.” She whispered softly, her lips wavering. Kissing you one last time.

Caressing your soft face one last time.

You didn’t even have enough strength to tell her how much you loved her too.

Her warmth lingered on your skin, your eyelids came down. You barely felt the pull as your pod picked up speed.

While everything around you exploded and fell apart. Your home, your planet, your family.

You, you were put to sleep against your will. Heart clenched and hurting. Face dripping from tears and snot.

When you came to, you were wounded. All alone, on an unknown planet. You pulled yourself out of the wreckage, holding your body together. Before falling to your knees. The crashed pod on fire behind you. You could still feel the sadness, remembered when your mother had put you into the machine. You cried. Not because of your injuries, but from the pain of being separated from your mother.

You cried your eyes out, your breathing sounding more like a broken wheeze.

You hit the floor with your fist. Leaned your forehead against the burned grass.

A/n : In my head, R landed on earth during the night, so she wouldn’t have gotten any sun radiation to fuel her powers (yet). But then I found this gif… so… Meh!

How could she…

You shut your eyes close, tears and snot dripping your face.

While you screamed in anger and loss.

Before your body finally collapsed completely against the ground and you fell asleep, exhausted and in pain. Right there and then.

For whoever or whatever would find you.

Maybe you’d be lucky and not see the light of day. Killed and eaten by whatever creatures lived on this planet.

Lucky enough to join the rest of them into Rao’s light.

The needle of the syringe wouldn’t pierce your skin. Like it was hitting a hard surface.

“See? She has to be from Krypton.” Insisted Kara.

“Look again, just lower. Do Kryptonians have that?” Said J’onn as he entered the room.

Kara frowned. Then her sister side eyed to the waist.

“Use your X-Ray vision.”

So she did. And her eyes went wide. “Oh Rao! Oh Rao, why did you make me look? Couldn’t you have just told me? Oh my Rao!” She blushed and rambled while Alex simply laughed. As Kara tried to hide her face in her hands.

“So, do Kryptonians have that?”

Kara groaned and shook her head. Finally letting go of her face.

“No… At least… Not that I know of. So maybe?”

“Kara, just don’t get your hopes up, alright?” Sighed Alex.
