My name is Juice (he/him) from @electricpurrs!
This blog is a project made to share as many commissions posts from artists on Tumblr as possible.
The goal is to create a hub where artists can have their commissions equally shared for visibility, and people seeking to buy art can just scroll for easy access to a wide variety of commissions from tons of different artists!
This is still a new project, but i hope to work it out with time until we get to what works best.
For now i am going to be reblogging any commissions posts i see on here, and people who have commissions open (or know someone who does) can submit or DM them to me, and I'll reblog them as well.
I want this to be a varied space! All kinds of art are welcome, be it digital art, traditional, plushies, embroidery, adopts, stickers, charms, prints, fursuits and more!
I will work into implementing a tagging system so hopefully posts are easy to navigate, and people looking for specific things can find them easier!
Advice/Suggestions on how to improve are welcome, my inbox will be open for any questions or suggestions, as well as DMs.
If you're an artist and are having trouble building followers, especially if you're new on tumblr or back after leaving, reblog this with some of your art. It will be visible to everyone checking the notes. Everyone keep checking the notes and follow whoever puts their cool art in them. People keep telling me I'm Tumblr famous so maybe this helps!

When you answered the ask asking about your art style (which is a post I keep looking back on bc what you have to say is very interesting) in one of your screenshots of you talking you mention something about how most if not all of your symbolism is self referent and I was wondering what you meant by that!
Hellloooo. Iām glad you found my ranting interesting. Here is some Dirk art Iām probably never going to finish for your troubles.
What I meant by that when talking about any symbolism in my art is that it doesnāt reference outside sources - e.g. where some art might use something like religious concepts, animals, real life events to represent ideas, I tend to use things more like colors, contrasting objects, composition. That sort of thing. So things that are inherently a part of the work itself rather than connections to the real world. If I ever do use symbolism otherwise, itās usually comic related even still. Although I have done pieces with religious symbolism before too, haha.
I donāt know how to describe it other than āself referentialā because Iām not really sure what else to classify that sort of symbolism as. Just⦠artistic maybe? Non literal? I couldnāt say. I think it all basically just goes along with the majority of my art nowadays being more figurative than literal. Sorry if this doesnāt explain it very well. Itās also funny to think that anyone is āLooking backā on any of my texts posts though, haha. To me I feel like I am just dumping my words on my poor followers. Surprising. Thank you for reading.

"The art that you like, isn't necessarily the art that you want to create."
That's a quote that I have stumbled upon one day on the internet, and it completely changed me. So much in art is about learning about yourself. Your strengths, weaknesses and preferences. For years, I believed what I wanted to draw are artworks filled with details, that someone can spend minutes looking at while discovering something they haven't noticed before. This led to this super daunting task of having to plan that, and knowing that the process of creating an artwork like that, will take me hours to finish. Knowing what awaits me, led to me procrastinating and never wanting to draw. Sometimes days, weeks or even months.
I believe it is important to challenge yourself, and do things that you don't want to do. However, that should only go so far. If that stops you completely from doing what you're doing, then you have to change that. Especially if it's just a hobby. It took me years, but eventually I realized that I do not have the patience for spending hours and hours on a single artwork. Not that I don't enjoy the process of drawing itself, but more than anything, I love finishing artworks. I love the feeling of moving on constantly, and being able to look back at a long list of drawings that I have accomplished.
To achieve that, my art became a lot more abstract, simplified and messier. But I think it also has become more personal that it ever has been before. My art now reflects my impatience. My flaws, be it anatomy, perspective or coloring. It's all there, but what it did is make drawing fun again.
