If you stand in the right pipe you can hear his heart pumping, if you stand on the right patch of metal you should feel the rise and fall of his breath. If you care to pay attention, the world is alight with the hum of his machinery, his pistons, his wires, his spirit.

But you live under the shadow of a giant. Never forget he is one of destruction, that he could shift and strech and move beneath your feet to take up the mantel of violence again. He could blot out the son with the terror he raizes, and you know he would do it to keep you safe.

He exists for you, he has been here for you, and when you lay down in one of his thousands of homes, in his thousands of arms, know that he is there. Know that he loves you.

I like to think Ratchet has three settings when dealing with the injured Autobots.

If you got hurt from battle or something legitimately outside of your control, he's going to treat you like a prince while in his care. Gentle voice, making sure you get plenty of rest, helping you get positioned on the berth in a comfortable way, etc.

If you got hurt from something avoidable but to avoid it would result in harm coming to someone else, you get lectured while receiving most of the same care as listed above. Like, Mirage jumping in front of Noah because he'd be hurt but Noah would be killed. Or Bumblebee getting talent by the humans protecting Sam and Mikayla. Avoidable but doing so would hurt others so you get a lecture but it's affectionate.

If you got hurt doing something stupid he TOLD you not to do, you better hope it kills you, because otherwise he will. Sideswipe trying to Tokyo drift on a frozen lake and falling through the ice? Literally the entire Autobot base can hear Ratchet lecturing him from the Medbay. Optimus was a self sacrificing idiot who refused to refuel and recharge AGAIN and passed out mid meeting, hitting his head on the way down? There's a betting pool going around about whether or not Ratchet will hit him with his wrench or not hit him at all. Nobody wins, because Ratchet doesn't hit him with his wrench, he hits him with a crowbar.

And Primus forbid Ratchet has to leave the base to come get your dumbass after you got hurt doing something dumb. Bumblebee is stuck in the La Brea Tar Pits because Arcee dared him to run across it? Both of them are contemplating whether it's worth it to just wait for the Decepticons to find them because the threats Ratchet is already making while driving to come pry Bumblebee out are harrowing.

Newly minted Optimus going through Dee's stuff and finding his personal datapad where he stores his writing. No matter how Orion pestered him, Dee always guarded it jealously, promising he could see "when it's done". And, well... OP tries, he does, but the longing mixed with curiosity gets the best of him and within like. 2 hours max he's opened it up. Just a peak, a quick one, he promises himself. And what should he find but poetry and confession letters by the hundreds, D-16 pouring his spark out in the most flowery, beautiful prose Optimus has ever had the pleasure of reading.

They're all directed at him, and his already fractured spark just. Shatters. Especially when he gets to the last entry. The last thing D-16 added to his journal was a hastily scrawled entry. He doesnt even know when Dee had time to scribble it down, but it's a messy recollection of the race. Apparently, Dee... really thought he was going to do something else for the Iacon 5000.

I really fragging thought it was gonna happen, I was about to tell him, but NO. Of course not! It's always the same with Pax, every time I try or think he's set something up he surprises me in the worst way.

Shelly and Vee are both autistic.

- Vee is straightforward and blunt, doesn't realize she might come off as backhanded or passive aggressive.

- She also isn't good at expressing her emotions or complimenting people.

- Seem's oblivious to Shelly's feelings of being forgotten or alone. She gets mistaken for being unfeeling, but she seems more awkward/unaware than actively malicious.

- Dinosaurs are clearly Shelly's special interest, she references them even when they're not at all relevant to what's happening.

- Very talkative to anyone willing to listen.

- Keeps her negative emotions in, doesn't tell people when they hurt her feelings.

I'll go by 🎀 anon, if that's not taken.
