A Part That I Like From Dr3 Is That Is That It Exhibited Makoto's Willingness To Kill When Absolutely

A part that I like from dr3 is that is that it exhibited Makoto's willingness to kill when absolutely necessary.

A Part That I Like From Dr3 Is That Is That It Exhibited Makoto's Willingness To Kill When Absolutely

He premeditates a trap to kill Munakata. Not to just stop him or block his path. He watches and waits until he's drenched by the sprinklers and makes sure that the pool of water reaches his feet before throwing the live wires into it in order to electrocute him. A surprisingly brutal murder method that Makoto of all people has the distinction of being one of the only non-monokuma characters in the series I can think of who attempts it (considering most of the other murders in the series just come down to essentially a bonk or stab).

And when that fails, in desperation he tries to ambush him to bludgeon him with a fire extinguisher. Now, whether or not he is even physically capable of killing him even if he did land a hit... but he still gave it a good couple of tries.

Not to mention, it's not even something reserved for his enemies.

He expresses that he'd even have the willingness to kill a person who's precious to him if he had to.

He's not an extreme pacifist who would refuse to hurt anyone no matter what. He's just a guy that does what he must in order to survive; a sentiment I've felt aligns with his character even ever since dr1 and has developed even more since then.

I’m definitely gonna make a stance on this, I’m on the side of Skullgirls fans who are angry about the censorship going on in the game.

If people were mad about the boobs and panty shots, maybe they shouldn’t be playing the boobs-and-panty-shots game. Just a thought.

Soo... this probably wont get any attention but i dont want it to get lost between all the other ideas in my head-

As someone who's least favourite game is Goodbye Despair (shocking, right? I almost got doxxed on tiktok for this.) One of the many reasons why i dont like it is the atmosphere. In THH, the students are trapped in a school. Windows and doors are completely shut with metal plates, as we know. It creates a really claustrophobic atmosphere and makes it feel actually like a scary situation. Like, just imagine the dark halls of an empty school at night. During a killing game. Creepy.

In v3, we have another school. This time the windows and doors are not closed off. They have a huge garden, and some other buildings in it. But what makes it feel, again, claustrophobic is the huge dome/cage thing over them. Also, i think it fits so much with the "its actually fiction" plotline, like its not claustrophobic in the traditional sense. I think you'd feel less trapped, but more small and insignificant.

But in Goodbye Despair, i just dont get the same "trapped" feeling. Yes, they are in an island. They cant go anywhere. Except its a much bigger area than the other two, and definitely more comfortable. Though the "creepy" aspect still exists, due to island being abandoned. So, here's my alternate setting for Dr2! Of course this is just a idea, an AU of sorts... Im not trying to claim my version is better or anything lol.

What if Dr2 started in a cruise ship. It starts with class 77 on their way to the jabberwock island (for rehab since they are remnants). But before they could reach the island, monokuma stops the ship in the middle of ocean and starts the killing game. I think it would be scarier at night and more claustrophobic than an island. Since its in the middle of ocean, they could add a rule like "you cant kill a student by throwing them to the water" And someone will exploit the rule by throwing a dead body to the water. The cons of my idea is that chapter 4 wouldnt exist, which is one of my favourite chapters/trials in the whole series. And maybe Nagito bombing the hotel(?) In chapter 5 would be...uh..tricky. because if he bombs somewhere in the ship, it could start sinking. Actually, thats interesting too. The ship starts sinking, very slowly. So during chapter 5 and 6 they are racing with time. And the game ends with makoto, kyoko, togami coming to save them in little boats.

Okay but what if

Okay But What If

The edit is shit but you get the point

Also J.D would be Valentine because yes

I guess squigly would probably be her pre-death design cause it doesn't really make much sense for her to be a zombie in this au. Or maybe it would be like Taliesin and she's just blue and it's never explained.

Thank you! Yeah, it's been bothering me for a while now that people in this fandom became so attached to the idea that the Remnants were all voluntary mass-murderers acting of their own free will. To start with, it basically means that Makoto and co. are complete assholes for trying to redeem such people through amnesia. To do that to terrorists who acted entirely of their own free will instead of putting them on trial would be an insult to all of their victims (both living and dead). Yet the writers were clearly wanting the players to sympathize with Makoto's cause, and don't treat what he's doing as reprehensible. And the very existence of the Neo-World Program implies that it's made with the intent to deprogram brainwashing. Then there's the fact that "someone preyed on my insecurities and made me depressed, so now I'm gonna blow up the world"...is just not a believable fucking heel turn at all. Human beings just don't work like that. I'm not saying that you couldn't tell a story where a moral person like say Mahiru Koizumi gradually becomes a complete monster. But it would take a hundred extra steps and need way more time. Class 77-B are all flawed people, but Jesus wept they're not THAT flawed. And something I forgot to bring up in the previous ask is another big logistical issue for Junko. They're not even in the same class. The SDR2 cast a year above her. Thus meaning the amount of time she could spend with them is even more limited. If anything it would have actually made more sense for her to pick Class 78 as her Remnants, since she at least has more time to work with them. One of the explanation I've heard is she did an evil variant of the FTEs during school lunch breaks or in the afternoon. Like...how even the fuck do you corrupt someone to that level over the course of a few private conversations? And to have it work perfectly with zero subjects acting conspicuously too early, or going on a bender, or just committing suicide? That is not a cunning manipulator you're writing. That is one of the worst examples of a Villain Sue I've ever seen, as you've just given her the most nonsensical winniest win that's ever been won.

LITERALLY. LIKEA CTUALLY. junko is a flat piece of cardboard to me

Seeing that post you made just now actually reminded me of something. This post-SDR2 RP blog storyline. Which claimed to be about the whole cast healing, and would be even-handed to everyone. Yet the writer's biases against Nagito constantly crept in, as there were noticeable double standards in the way he was treated compared to the rest of the cast.

Like I realized something upon looking at it again. It's Nagito, and Nagito alone who has to actually face his victims from when he was an Ultimate Despair. He's the one who gets ragged in person on by cast members from UDG. The others meanwhile? They never actually have to meet someone they personally wronged. There are no survivors of Novoselic (which got completely genocided in their version of events) ever confronts Sonia for example.

This is actually the case in a lot of fan works. It is very easy to tell when the writer has a bias against Komaeda. Personally, a thing I noticed when reading is that it feels like they all tend to put the other remnants in a good light while he is just. Separated. Similarly to how the fandom treats him in general by acting like he is the worst of them all. There's always that subtle undertone that shows they only hold things against him, which, again, is often because of the rooted ableism in how the fandom portrays him.

Funny... Since his actions really are tame compared to the others, he never even directly hurt anyone, unlike them. It's weird how the fandom doesn't hold the characters accountable for actual murders in the first place, but can I just mention how Komaeda (including Hinata) was the only remnant who didn't do anything violent and messed up except cutting his arm off?

As for Komaeda being the only one to face the people that he wronged, I saw that people even tend to make the remnants forgive each other immediately (or easily) or don't write any tension between them, making them friends. It's very confusing since they don't have normal relationships even in sdr2 and because they always make them target Komaeda with all the negativity... And because they literally killed each other. They would all be aware of how messed up they are and have to learn to accept it... They don't even have a reason to call Komaeda fucked up anymore because they've done worse, or rather he's fucked up too. They don't have to like him (they would realistically only tolerate everyone except the ones closer to them in the first place anyway), but it'd be way different, and they wouldn't be hostile. The fact that Komaeda would be peaceful makes that even more believable.

(Also do you mind sharing the name?)

No offense to you Gozu. I'm sure you do your utmost in your assigned area. But the Future Foundation as a whole looks like it suffers from the same messed-up culture that permeated Hope's Peak. People being put into high positions of power on the flimsy basis that they're former Ultimates. Ando for example being put in charge of food procurement in a post-Apocalyptic world. Just being a talented confectioner doesn't qualify her for such a vital role.

No Offense To You Gozu. I'm Sure You Do Your Utmost In Your Assigned Area. But The Future Foundation

I do understand your concerns, however, Ruruka has proven to be a capable baker no matter what one may think of her. And thus, she has since been useful to the Foundation.

No Offense To You Gozu. I'm Sure You Do Your Utmost In Your Assigned Area. But The Future Foundation

And of course, during such limited times, those who were originally alumni or took part in Hope's Peak come to together to stop Ultimate Despair from spreading across the land. For the future of not only ourselves, but the civilians as well.

No Offense To You Gozu. I'm Sure You Do Your Utmost In Your Assigned Area. But The Future Foundation

Indeed. Though lately we have been falling apart at the seams.

No Offense To You Gozu. I'm Sure You Do Your Utmost In Your Assigned Area. But The Future Foundation

I can only offer my condolences and do my part...

No Offense To You Gozu. I'm Sure You Do Your Utmost In Your Assigned Area. But The Future Foundation

Thank you, Gozu. Your reassurance is appreciated and we are rather grateful.
