Do you think this is what sets him and Luke apart? Would Luke not done what he did if he too had a mom who could have been there for him? Would he have not done it had his mom not chosen to be the Orcale despite knowing the risks? Did he know that May knew the possible consequences and still chose to do it. Because even if they didn't know about Dad's curse, they still knew that Oracles were supposed to be maidens so this was very dangerous? Did he know that and blamed Hermes still? Did he feel abandoned by his mother too? Was he alone to fight for himself so what he came to value was power? Was I too young to notice these things when I actually read PJO? ARGHHHHHH
Perseus Jackson grew up so secure in his mothers love and dedication to him that he physically cannot comprehend why a parent wouldn't be there for their child and that's why he's so fucking pissed at the gods for ignoring the demigods

I support women's right but more importantly I support women's wrong.
And this all comes down to his fatal flaw, Unwavering Loyalty. Something he's commited his mind to? Baby seal needs to stay loyal to the stuff. Someone he loves needs saving? He's tye strongest. Someone doing something he believes is wrong? He gonna fight because the stuff affects his people too. I just- you get what I'm saying?
pissed off percy is a determined percy. because the second he saw his mom encased in gold and being held captive in the underworld. it was go time. he gained the upper hand on hades in under ten minutes. whooped ares's ass in under three. returned zeus's bolt and told him off like twenty minutes later. and then told kronos to stop being a coward and come find him. no one's fucking do it like our boy.
KMDMCJJDD. WHY HADN'T I THOUGHT OF HOW WALKER IS PRACTICALLY A PERCABETH LOVE CHILD?!?!?!?! THE SMALL CHANGES TO THE STORY MAKES HIM JUST A TEENSY BIT MORE LIKE BOOK ANNABETH TOO, OMFGS
I don't mind that Walker Scobell doesn't look like book!Percy because 1) he's absolutely got the spirit. Walker basically is Percy, you can see and feel that in every one of his scenes, and
2) If book!Percabeth had a baby, he would look exactly like Walker Scobell, and I think that's hilariously perfect

Sally fucking Jacksonšš¤š»
this post goes out to sally fucking jackson
the woman who stayed in an abusive relationship for years to keep her son safe.
the woman who survived a minotaur attack and the underworld.
the woman who ate a primarily blue diet out of pure spite.
the woman who turned her abusive husband into a statue and sold him for a fortune.
the woman who was offered, by poseidon, a palace under the sea if she wished.
the woman who picked up a shotgun from a police car, used it against a laistrygonian giant, and when asked when she learned how to use it, responded ājust nowā.
a woman who, without notice, was met by a newly-human god and his twelve year old master and, without batting an eye, offered them food and clothing.
a woman who is a mother above all mothers.
i love sally jackson.
1st, we were saying the (kinda) same things from the very beginning just on different wavelengths.
2nd, James died trying to protect Harry too, so what if he couldn't cast the Charm? He was taken by surprise since he trusted Wormtail with his life and he was his best friend, and ik, Lily might have gotten somewhat close to home too, but James had know him for (I think so, I'm not sure) his whole school life, he thought they were Ride or die. And, sadly for James, he had to Die. Because he was betrayed. So, it is understandable that he couldn't cast the Protection spell. Also, who are we kidding? He was no way as smart as out Lovely Lily. So it wouldn't be that much a surprise, yk. And, like, you say there was Severus because of Lily, but weren't there Remus and Sirius because of James? Doesn't that make James's significance just as much? And to think that Harry looked very VERY similar to James, he might have a different kind of feeling about him. So, I think James might have had a similar, if not bigger, presence in Harry's life.
People get mad that Harry named his son after Severus. However Iām leaning more towards the fact that Snape did the most thankless job even after being mistreated all of his life by the people he was saving and working with and the only thanks he gets- the only time anyone has decided to remember a single thing he did- itās when Harry is naming his spawn.
Severus is not even the spawnās first name, itās his second name. Oh yeah and he threw in some half-baked dialogue about how Severus was brave. Wow truly what a fucking treat, what an homage.
And people are complaining that he didnāt ļæ¼name his kid after Hargid (or Lupin I donāt think which is pretty sad and also thankless). And I agree, but instead of switching out Severusās name, take out Jamesās.
He named one of his kids James Sirius Potter (which is just so cringe) and like my question is why? Sirius is perfectly understandable but why James? James has done absolutely nothing-and I mean-NOTHING for Harry apart from get compared to him and has basically acted as a sperm donor to Harry. No- not a father, because being a father actually requires raising ur kid- no Jamesās only merit is that he had a wizard messiah in his ballsack. Brilliant.
I've been mad since 2022 for him being dead beat and the moment he showed up from the random burnt ice cream, I knew I was a goner
I SPENT EIGHT EPISODES SHITTING ON DEAD-BEAT DAD POSEIDON ONLY FOR RICK RIORDAN TO MAKE ME REGRET MY WORDS IN THE LAST TWO. HONESTLY. I AM SO MAD IT IS NOT EVEN FUNNY. FUCK HIM.
AND FUCK TOBY STEPHENS AS WELL LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE SECOND HE WAS ON SCREEN I DID NOT HAVE A COHERENT THOUGHT RUNNING THROUGH MY BRAIN. THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT TOBY.
Itās the casual way Mobius sets his chaotic boyfriend The God of Mischief loose on everyone. Mobius is so attuned to Loki, he immediately knows how heās going to react, offering him a gentle warning or permission to proceed. And Loki carefully waits for that permission before he acts, implying this is a familiar dynamic thatās been established beforehand.
"Cardan stands over me. His jacket is thrown on a nearby chair, the velvet soaked through with some dark substance. His white sleeves are pulled up, and he's washing my hands with a wet cloth. Getting the blood off of them"- The Queen of Nothing (Ch. 17)
Can I talk about this scene for a moment, because it really shows how much Cardan loves Jude. Here is a man who had been raised as a spoiled, neglected, cruel prince, caring for a mortal girl. He is helping her when she is in pain, and he is by her side even though he is High King of the Fae, and she is an (though technically not anymore) exiled mortal. He could have easily called for a servant to clean her, he could have given her her own room, he could have left her side, left her to die on the table. But no, here he is, lowering him self to her side, abandoning all the egotistical ways of thinking he was taught, and doing such a simple action, however unfitting of a king, because he doesn't trust anyone else with her to do it right.
remember when Cardan drew stars around Jude's scars? But then he was bleeding? remember? š
