So I was hoping to re read the Percy Jackson books before the series came out .. ... and everyone got to them before me, so Im kinda in the know, but knot in the know... you know?? 😭 and it freaking sucks!!! Cause i have forgotten a lot!
I've just realised that I have never posted anything about any of the Percy Jackson books or anything like that
In the Percy Jackson series I've read up to Last Olympian (I'm reading the books in chronological order)
And in Heroes of Olympus I've just finished Son of Neptune
Literally like and hour ago lol
I read the The Lightning Thief book and it was very utterly amazing and epic and slaytastic and iconic and fabulous and yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 so yeah woo
I'm crying like obviously we know Percy's powerful but this show has held back in the fight scenes so him threatening Ares is. SO funny. baby you've got nothing to back that up. you're just a yappy little baby chihuahua right now.
Do you think this is what sets him and Luke apart? Would Luke not done what he did if he too had a mom who could have been there for him? Would he have not done it had his mom not chosen to be the Orcale despite knowing the risks? Did he know that May knew the possible consequences and still chose to do it. Because even if they didn't know about Dad's curse, they still knew that Oracles were supposed to be maidens so this was very dangerous? Did he know that and blamed Hermes still? Did he feel abandoned by his mother too? Was he alone to fight for himself so what he came to value was power? Was I too young to notice these things when I actually read PJO? ARGHHHHHH
Perseus Jackson grew up so secure in his mothers love and dedication to him that he physically cannot comprehend why a parent wouldn't be there for their child and that's why he's so fucking pissed at the gods for ignoring the demigods

It’s basically canon that Percy, Annabeth and Grover meets Nico and Bianca for the first time in Lotus Hotel and Casino (TLT) and not in TTC, so what if they also met Hazel in TLT when they visit the fields of asphodel. Which means that Percy actually met 3 children of Hades on the same quest.

Starting today, I will be doing #MUSICALMAYHEM which is a year full of me making animatics for musicals that you all get to pick. There are at least 1 musical for each month the musical list will posted and you all will tell me which song deserves to be turned into an animatic and I will pick the song based on how many people say the same one.

This sentence haunts me a bit.
Because after everything that Sally has sacrificed to ensure Percy’s safety, after suffering physical, emotional and psychological abuse from Gabe for years, sending Percy to probably very expensive private schools, and still managing to remain kind, baking him cookies, and giving him blue candies whenever he felt bad, and never raising her voice at him, she was still doomed to fail at fully protecting him.
Because to save Percy from getting killed by gods, and monsters, she had to invite a monster into their very home. She had to “condemn” Percy to receive physical and emotional abuse during crucial stages of his life, resulting in dangerously low self-esteem, self-hatred and even suicidal tendencies; issues which follow him throughout every single book.
By the time he was twelve, his self-esteem was so low that Percy even believed Sally didn’t want him around at the start of The Lightning Thief.
Sally, whom he thought the world of. Sally, who is, in his eyes, the kindest, most loving person in the world.
I can’t even begin to imagine how much that thought would mess with a twelve-year-old boy’s mind.
Like, I know we as a fandom see them as the most healthy and best possible mother-son bond ever, and I’m not denying that they absolutely love one another, would do anything for each other or that Sally did not do her absolute best to protect him, but their relationship is in actuality way more nuanced and heartbreaking than we tend to acknowledge most of the time.

Did anyone else see the fear on Luke's face when they told him that they knew who the lighting thief was?? Like that man was PANICING he thought he'd been caught! I swear I saw sweat drip down his face!!

Is the strange chime sounding thing after the line ‘I will be great’ supposed to be that prominent and basically sound like a second sound in only one ear to the one from the computer because w h a t ?????????

In TLT,Percy's mom is murdered (at first he thought she was dead)
In The City of Bones,Clary's mom is kidnapped
2.
In TLT, Percy gets to CHB , his mind about to explode when he learns that greek gods and monsters exist
In The City of Bones, Clary is taken to the Institute and learns that all the myths are real
The plot twists are so similar
You know,in the Lightning Thief Annabeth takes Percy's hand for reassurance ( when they were in the Underworld)
In the same way,Jason takes Piper's hand in The Lost Hero for reassurance (when they were at Boreas' palace)
I just find interesting this coincidence

The fact that in lightning thief when percy first meets hades all regal and majestic and after like 10 seconds of conversation. He starts ranting about the problem of the underworld like an old man ranting about his ongoing business of dairy and it's downfall. It's like a typical relative conversation happening where the sassy teenager is bored and the 50 year old uncle is still not done complaining about life. That's what cracks me up!

As someone who doesn’t live in the US, I can’t pretend to know how y’all are feeling, I won’t. All I know is that this tragedy won’t last forever, hell, if it goes to a re-count maybe not till tomorrow morning. But don’t be mistaken, you guys will make it out alive, don’t loose hope now, history had it’s eyes on you, but the whole world has the USA’s back, especially its citizens
