started: Aug 2022 finished: Dec 2022 status: falling apart
at first I taped my hand with masking tape to draw the segments directly on it and then trace them onto paper, but it didn't help much as they would end up not matching each other anyway - I got fed up with it very quick and just freehanded most of the parts
yes, at some point I tried sewing it onto a woolen glove (it was way too thick) - ended up sewing my own glove out of a stocking and used WHITE THREAD, because I didn't believe any of this could be done anyway
thought it will be impossible to glue the segments to the glove, because it had to be done when wearing it - the polyurethane glue reacts with the fabric, gets hot and melts it, so it would probably burn my skin and then stick to it forever
I managed to evade that with wearing a latex glove underneath, although I could still feel the heat; it then had to be cut out from the inside of the gauntlet somehow
I honestly thought I wouldn't be able to ever put it back on (thought it would all fall apart), but it's wearable, just takes some time to adjust it to fit and you're ready to pet the rat!
the sewing is definitely the weakest part - besides visible white thread there are holes on the sides that I can't keep up with repairing next thing is there's nothing on the inside of the hand, just the plain stocking, where I should probably put some thicker fabric elements I'm looking forward to make an improved version - I have a lot of ideas and some more cans, but nothing more so far
anyways, it still is the coolest thing I've ever made; maybe that's why I'm anxious about making a new one
old studies back from when I tried to figure out how to render; mostly on Jinx, because everything started with that one Jinx sketchbook page I did back in 2023
not me desperately editing this, because #art is trending and I hope to get more than 4 followers // character heavily inspired Felix Colgarve's work, precisely by the creature riding a dragon in SOURCE by Fever The Ghost music video
you know what? fuck it, I'm going to post everything I did for Arctober in slightly less horrible quality (may edit later), no matter how bad it is
it's just too special for me (this show and the challenge and new season coming up) so I'm putting all of my insecurities aside to show the unfinished, poorly drawn stuff that I'm ashamed of; join me on the painful journey of getting back to drawing (haven't done anything like this in pencil in two years or so, I'm basically missing all the basics)
above Rio it says 'poor cat' and the stuff I covered on the legacy page are some notes I've taken on what was hard for me when I drew it and what to improve ..oh, and on the very bottom on the 2nd Piltover page it says 'you fuckers will never leave Piltover', just don't mind it it's a Polish joke thing
>"never been this close to learning how to draw"
>haven't picked up a pencil since ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
I'm 9 prompts behind ๐๐ป but I did today's one anyway
I also bought variuous types of pencils, never thought I'll do that ..and never been this close to (consistently) learning how to draw
might update the photo tomorrow to look less overexposed (edit: updated)
please enjoy this silly goofy simple fanart I drew in March while watching the best (funniest) anime I've seen in a long time
I etid a lemons
after drawing one (1) promising anvil, I thought I could easily render metal (I could't); two attempts were made
reference pic, which is also a sequel to the cyborg gauntlet post (please, check it out), taken by me
