remembering the conversation with damon, made josie quickly agree to kaya's request to dance. nodding her head, she held onto the others hands and began to follow the rythm of her body. the song wasn't exactly that fun, but having had a few drinks, it felt as if the music was something she'd choose. "i'd love that!" josie replied, focusing on the other as they danced. "i heard you and hope got ready together. you both look beautiful." it was so easy to throw out compliments, when your other half was back. when nothing felt as if it was missing, josie realized that she had longed for other types of relationships. friends instead of just family or the small hellos to co-workers.
Kaya, fresh off a few shots from the bar, danced by herself to the slow, kind of boring music that floated through the air. She barely even noticed when Josie bumped into her, and she probably wouldn't have even said anything at all, just kept going about her swaying and enjoying of the music.
Instead, she grasped both of Josie's hands in hers. The two weren't exactly close, but Kaya had spent enough time around Hope that they'd hung out a few times here and there. The alcohol, however, made everyone in the room Kaya's best friend. "Do you want to dance?" she asked, cheerfully, holding both the girls hands and looking at her with a wide smile. "I mean, I know we were both already dancing, but do you want to dance, like, together?"
"no, i've never seen you as a monster, you babygirl are a big part of my light. i guess i don't even think that i am a monster, it's just weird being a demon and well you are too. a part of you is demon and that is something i really hope you will let me help you with," gabriela nodded, kaya would have these abilities to sense evil in others and even more than that. it wasn't exactly clear the powers her daughter would possess, but tyler and her were so sure they wanted a baby. after adopting they decided to try one last time and it managed to work. so much changed in the demon after getting pregnant, feeling as if some anchor was now placing her firmly on the earth. yet, she also knew not to put such pressure on another being. so instead, gabbi ended up just not explaining any of it correctly, until now. "yeah, it'd be impossible for you not to sense that. raymis is a darkness that even i still shudder to think about, but i didn't let him win last time and i plan to keep it that way."
taking another gulp of their drink, gabriela did their best to not fill with rage in front of kaya. she wasn't the source of any bad feelings, raymis was and that was who she'd save that for. "did he tell you anything else that you are worried about? he's good at doing that, making people question their goodness or just a basic detail of their life."
Kaya turned her hand over and clutched her mom's, knowing that she likely didn't want to talk about the topic at hand. If Kaya hadn't taken three shots in rapid succession, she probably wouldn't even have asked.
"It's okay, Mom." Kaya tiled her head to the side, looking at her mom with a smile. "I would never think that about you. I'm half of you, and you don't think I'm a monster, do you?" she asked, with a kind of arrogant smile, because of course her mother would never say that about her. "I have been experiencing things recently... demon things, I guess. I don't know how else to describe it. Like, I could sense this darkness in Raymis that I'd never felt from anyone else before."
gabriela had been on the hunt for a certain someone, ever since she kaya uttered his name at the bar. their heart pounding as they made their way through the crowd, trying to find anyone that radiated the dark energy raymis would at a party like this. this was exactly the place he'd feed off with delight. she wanted to give up, go find tyler and forget that he was even mentioned, but his name made her angry. it was a rage she couldn't bury no matter how hard she tried. when he spoke, it made her shoulders stiffen. he couldn't see it but the demon raised an eyebrow at the other, her lips curling in disgust. "you'd love that wouldn't you? to just kill some poor soul all for entertainment. i'm assuming you only spoke to kaya the way you did was because you were trying to get my attention."

nearly black hues scanned the venue as they mused of the fact that they were a devil in disguise . it was easy for the demon to move around the crowd as if they belonged . crowds formed around them wherever they stood , as he played on their human desires of pride , greed , lust , and envy , among other things . raymis was charming to the others but that illusion just hid his true face . what was underneath the mask and illusions , was that they were pure evil , but the fun kind of evil , they thought . " look , i double dog dare you to drink that whole chardonnay bottle . " granted it would probably kill the ready drunken person , with alcohol poison , but a win was a win , right ? he teased to themselves .
a genuine laugh left eleanor, causing her stance to soften before nodding her head in agreement. "completely agree! i'd much rather be in something comfortable and watching a movie than do this for fun. before i got in here and saw people wearing masks, i thought the idea was going to be fun, but it feels off." shrugging her shoulders, she tilted her head and smiled. "my name is eleanor by the way, glad to meet a fellow introvert."
it felt like there was an instant ease in blossom's stance as she heard the other speak. a small relief that she wasn't the only one feeling out of place or awkward in this situation. balls and grand places were never her favorite place to be, especially without her sketch pad. the only grand place she liked to go was the art gallery. “oh i know that feeling.” blossom commented as she wondered who was behind the mask. it would make blossom feel so much more comfortable if there was no masks on. “i mean, this isn't my idea of a fun thing. it feels as if i touch something i may break it and be charged the bill.”
something stupid, the words ran through her ears before she let out another giggle. "you remind me of someone and i'm honestly not sure if you will take it as a compliment so i will keep it to myself until you've drank a bit more." josie wanted to have an extravagant night, but her idea of extravagant was so much different than damon's. if anything, all she wanted was to dance with a pretty girl and indulge in drinks with bubbles. "honestly i think the only cool thing i would make happen is them play a chappell roan song. it is pride month, so we can always use it."
Damon considers it for a moment. "I don't actually know," he admits, briefly tapping his fingers together trying to count, "But your very first one should be a lot cooler." He looks her over, then turns to survey the rest of the room, trying to inspire himself. "The good news is, you're young and fresh enough to do something very stupid but still be forgiven," he muses, "Might need you to take matters into your own hands and start something. For the good of the party, of course."
once getting their drink, gabriela's attention quickly went back to their daughter, noticing anger bubbling in her chest. narrowing her eyes, she watched as kaya spoke a name into existence that she had tried to keep locked up tightly in her past. she wasn't able to hide her reaction, almost choking on the drink before placing a finger up. needing time to gather herself before even daring to explain who raymis was. taking a bigger sip of her drink, she placed it back on the bar and sighed. this wasn't the time or place she planned on telling her daughter all about her torrid past, filled with violence and a darkness she hoped to never possess again.
"that name does mean something to me..." placing a hand on her daughters, she took a deep breath. "raymis and i knew each other when i was a working for arcadius. i gave a demon my soul because of what happened to your aunt and that's why i am what i am now. raymis and i were together for a little bit but nothing serious ever came out of it. so whatever he has told you, it's not true. you daddy is tyler lockwood." she mocked the term raymis loved to be called, rolling her eyes before tilting her head. "i'm sorry i never told you much about those days, they are just very dark for me. it's hard to not have your daughter think you aren't a monster when you are a literal demon."
"Ah, shit," Kaya said under her breath when her mom sat down next to her. "Busted," she joked, giving the bartender a slight nod when he looked in her direction. Surely just one more couldn't hurt anyone.
But how was she supposed to tell her mom about what had happened? About what that demon had said about her? Was there even any truth to his words? She hated how easily her mom could tell exactly how she was feeling with a quick glance. Despite desperately trying to keep her feelings on the inside, they always leaked out into her expressions and body language. Her shoulders tensed even more, her anger squeezing them in.
"It's fine, Mom," Kaya commented, "If I said the name Raymis... would that mean anything you?" The demon raised a brow, looking at their Mom, watching for any change in their expression.
she could feel it each time they were in the same room, not only was his touch gentle but so was his gaze. it was as if she had come back to life a china doll. if she wanted anything, it was to prove that she didn't need to be treated as such. leaning against a bannister, the cool marble against her warm back caused a calm to wash over eleanor. ever since coming back, it felt as if he was avoiding her and yet also provided her with comfort. the whole ordeal caused her head to feel dizzy. so she spent time with her family, being with her sisters and trying to catch up on the years she missed.
yet, she yearned for nikolas, he was somehow she always turned to when feeling overwhelmed. just as she was thinking about him, their eyes met across the room. a shiver ran up her spine, one so different than before. instantly she blushed, feeling as if she was seeing him for the very first time. elle decided to make the first move, her feet basically floating off the floor as she made her way to her love. when she got to him, she placed a hand on his chest and smiled sweetly. "i'd know your eyes anywhere." she admitted to him so easily.

nikolas had spotted eleanor at the enchanted evening masquerade . even the mask she wore wasn't enough to stop him from spotting the brunet across the room in her cloudy blue gown . she appeared god sent , and other words she was a perfect , vision . yet , that didn't stop the tribrid from wanting to keep his distance from her , even though everything in his body was scream to be near her . the tall male felt guilty for his absence in her life but how else could he prove that she deserved better . regardless , of the facts , it didn't stop nikolas's piercing blue eyes from searching the crowd for her .

getting ready with her twin put the siphoner in a cheery mood, thanks to the mask she wouldn't need to explain, how the once sad josie was now all smiles. for three years, people would often describe her as a girl with a frown. her mouth always turned the wrong way. tonight, would be different, she'd allow herself to take in the excitement of elegance and music. after savoring a cosmopolitan, she made her way onto the dance floor. doing her best to take in the way it felt to actually let happiness in.
getting a little too lost in the sounds, she managed to bump into someone else. taking a step back, she tilted her head with a soft smile. "sorry, i forgot where i was for a moment."

even though tyler hadn't liked the idea of his wife joining the faction, she had. it was helpful that she told him while making him breakfast after a wonderful night, but she could sense his fear each time he looked her way. they knew it wasn't the best idea, but also wanted to make sure they could keep the kids safe. no other demon was going to volunteer and so, while her husband was taking care of a young wolf, she attended a meeting with elena and hayley.
the murders made everyone panic and as of right now, gabbi didn't have many suspects, still trying to scope out who would have the motive to do such things. walking into the bar, the mask gave her a confidence boost, but it also made her job harder. taking a glass of champagne that was being offered on a tray, she took a deep breath and began people watching.
the siphoner was sure that she couldn't be brought down. her twin sister was back, hope wasn't mad at her, and it felt as if the world was placed back on it's axis. so even if damon was complaining, it didn't really bother her, instead she raised an eyebrow and smirked. "well yeah, you got to see parties when there were like no rules. so of course this is dull." taking a sip of her champagne, she shrugged her shoulders before eyeing the crowd again. "how many masquerades have you been too? cause i'm pretty sure this is my first."
open starter Though it was early in the night, Damon was growing bored by the serious lack of action. Most people still stood in groups chatting, neglecting the dancefloor and the bar a little too much for his liking. He'd been looking forward to a night to let loose, but not even the band seemed to be inspired yet. "Seriously?" he sulks aloud, "I've been to funerals with better live entertainment than this." @inaducursehqstarters

it felt like a fever dream, josie watched through the mirror as lizzie got ready for the masquerade, starring as if the girl hung the stars in the sky. for three years, she prayed to so many gods for the person before her to do this again. get ready for some wonderful night, were the only thing on their minds was having a good time. there of course were those parts of the siphoner that felt scared about it all, but it was being heavily overshadowed but how dreamy this felt. honestly, she couldn't put into words, for so long she had been unhappy and now it felt as if that never happened. the twins managed to match in a way, both wearing blue dresses, something that made them giggle because of course.
sitting at the vanity, she applied the last of her lipstick before turning to finally face lizzie. "is the blue eyeshadow too much?" she asked, an eyebrow arched in uncertainty.

eleanor was still getting used to being alive, so even though she felt beautiful in the dress, she was also filled with nervousness. the only people she'd been around were her family and fiancee. people who looked at her like a fragile doll. so maybe this party was a good thing, she could wear a mask and pretend to not be some dead girl. yet when walking into the room, she felt instantly embarrassed, a feeling that hasn't left since crawling out of her grave. even when nikolas would shower her with kind words, it felt as if they just passed through her body. lost in worrying thoughts, she didn't even notice that someone stepped on her toe. "oh gosh! no don't worry! i wasn't even aware i was standing near someone, this place is beautiful but terrifying."
open to all.
she felt awkward, social interaction was something she didn’t like, but forced social interaction in a dress, that was making blossom feel more uncomfortable than anything. the voices in her head telling her that something was going to happen and maybe that made the unknown banshee even more uncomfortable. she stepped back from where she was standing, instantly regretting it as she could feel herself tread on the other persons toe. “oh..shit..”she murmured, more to herself. turning she look at the other, stupid masks, made it impossible to know fully who the other person was. “really sorry for treading on your toes..really need to think where I step.”
hayley shrugged at the comment, unsure if the person was talking to her or not, before deciding to answer. "i mean you don't have to wear a dress, a suit is always fun and women can wear them differently. for example you could just wear dress pants with the vest, no shirt under." the hybrid enjoyed breaking the typical, it was something she did her best to instill in her children. "you can do whatever you want."

Cassie sighed in fustration looking through the dresses. What was with dresses being so sparkly? Where are the timeless little black dress. Cassie groaned as she looked at the dress rack. "Do I have to wear a dress to this stupud masquerade- it just feels like poor timing for fucks sake."
gabriela was blissfully unaware that raymis was alive. the two met each other when she was at her lowest. being a new demon, she had a bloodlust that couldn't be satiated and still full of immeasurable grief. it wasn't a time she allowed herself to think about, most of it was daze for her anyway. so she got ready for this event in good spirits, tyler was home and the kids all in one spot. it was hard for the demon to not feel a sense of pride and joy when seeing the people she loved together.
the demon's guard was still up, unsure of the reason for such a fancy party. expensive was the one word that came to mind when walking in the doors. everyone wore masks, making it hard to tell who was who, something that also put the woman on edge. their eyes scanned the main room, watching people as they drank and laughed, completely taken by the whole scene. it was a feeling she desperately wanted but was far too nervous to let in. it wasn't until she noticed kaya, sneaking towards the bar, her shoulders slouched but also tense, the exact way she got when upset. balling their fist in their dress, they quickly strutted towards their daughter. ready to tackle whatever had placed kaya in such a sour mood.
shaking her head softly, gabriela raised an eyebrow at the other "babygirl you are allowed to drink, but take your time the night has just started and i'm sure there is some rich people food we can always eat a little too much of." placing a soft hand on her shoulder, gabi sat down on the stool next to kaya and ordered a whiskey sour. "what happened? your shoulders are doing that thing they do when someone's pissed you off."

Kaya, mystified by the lights and the music and the gowns, floated amongst the crowd. While her mask did conceal her face, she was certain almost everyone could tell who she was. There wasn't much anonymity to these things, at least not as much as she'd hoped.
She'd hoped to have a good night, prayed even. But when she'd spotted the demon across the room, she'd nearly fled all the way home. Instead, she stopped at the bar. The anger that rose into her throat when she saw him was nearly too much to bear.
Throwing a hand up to signal the bartender, Kaya ordered two shots, both for herself. She finished the first before the bartender finished pouring the second, then ordered one more for good measure. If she were to survive this crowded party full of all the scariest people in town, she would do it with a little extra confidence.
Unfortunately, someone caught her in the act. Not that she tried to be sneaky in her shot-taking, but she preferred not to be seen drinking her feelings. "What?" Kaya snarled. "It's a party."
Ever since the first day that I met you, I have felt everything for you.
hayley rolled her eyes at his comments, they'd known each other for years now and still there had been no change in her reaction. however, it was now always followed with a cheeky smile, knowing that was always the way to soothe the original. "you've had to holler for me since we met." a smirk grew on her lips before shaking her head softly. "klaus we have gone over this before, we are not disbanding the faction. it is still getting it's bearings and with this serial killer on the loose, it's needed more than ever."
rolling her shoulders back, she folded her arms and gave klaus a glare. "have you seen that boy our daughter has been sneaking around with? he reminds me of you and i hate that she grew up with my taste in men. her taste in women has always been better."
"Sine when do I need to hollor after the mother of my first born," he said stepping into line with hayley. "You know I heard rumors again, about people disliking all the faction members being Mikaelson's," he commented. That was people for you, never good enough. "We need to end this before it becomes a problem."
"oh my gosh jay, i'm so sorry, it's just been a few years since i've seen you near the house." hayley felt a little embarrassed, she'd know the kid for a very long time given who his parents were. when he and lizzie got engaged, they spent even more time together, but that had felt like so long ago. time was manipulated by the grief they all felt after the merge. "how are you doing sweetie?" she lifted her eyebrow at the other, knowing it was a loaded question, but it had to be asked. hope had become a totally different person after everything. how could she not? lizzie, hope, and josie were inseparable and intended to beat every odd that told them otherwise. jay was in the middle of it all and honestly the hybrid wasn't sure where his loyalties lied.
Jay nodded. "Lizzie," he said slowly as he looked at her. "Lizzie's fiancee." He hasn't really seem her family since it happened. Since she has died. But he had been with her 2 years, so they were all familiar in a way. Then he paused. "Also... you know Aiden's kid," he said given she was his dad's alpha.
"no, he didn't leave me out here..." she trailed off trying to think of a better way to explain the ordeal, but she's exhausted and just wanted to rest. "i was dead and now i'm not. he doesn't know i'm alive, well no one does and i would just really appreciate it, if you could give me the tiniest break." eleanor didn't mean to be so blunt with her words and yet they spewed out of her with annoyance laced on each syllable. taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes and pushed her shoulders back, before opening them again. "listen, i'm sorry, but i'm pretty sure i just spent a solid hour crawling my way out of a grave. i don't know what day or year it is...i don't know how much time has passed..."
"Did he leave you out here?" Damon asks, wondering what kind of mess he was walking into. "The good news is I can help with at least two of those things. Why don't you sit in the shade," he gestures towards his porch, "I'll get the house phone." He pauses, looking her up and down. "And maybe the hose."

Being back here makes me hot in the face Hot blood in my pulsing veins Heavy memories weighing on my brain Hot and heavy in the basement of your parents' place You used to be so sweet Now you're a firecracker on a crowded street Couldn't look away even if I wanted Try to walk away but I come back to the start
hayley would've normally heard her daughter getting ready to approach, but the hybrids mind was filled with too many conversations to notice. a small scream left her lips after being tackled, followed by a giggle when realizing that it was hope. shaking her head softly, hayley looked at her daughter with so much love. she was sure that her kids all saw the way she looked at them, as if they could do no wrong and were able to conquer the world. hugging her daughter tightly, she allowed herself to linger in the embrace. "hi baby, how is your day going?"
knowing hope, she was probably doing the exact same thing as the hybrid. they shared the past time of watching others as they went on their daily lives, ones that weren't filled with the danger of vampires and wolves. placing a soft kiss on the others cheek, she finally pulled back, linking her arm with hope. wanting to bring up the meeting with laurie, she decided against it. so instead she pushed the thought back down in the depths of her mind. there was so much going on and a boy was the last of their problems. "i heard that lizzie is back, how are you handling that?"
THE STREETS OF NEW ORLEANS were covered with tourists, a sight that made the tribid wonder what going through life like that was like. everyone had their what if moments and hope would be lying if she didn't admit to at least a day dream or two about what life would be like if she were a run of the mill ordinary girl. and perhaps that's why PEOPLE watching had become one of her favorite activities when back home ⸺ the atmosphere of such a historic town, filled with the buzzing chat of a modern people, it was endlessly fascinating. even when her people watching had ulterior motives, but it was because of said self appointed task that the petite auburn girl caught sight of a dearly familiar face through the corner of her eye. approaching her as quietly as she could, hope only made a sound as she practically tackled the hybrid by way of a hug. " gotcha ! " she finished with a giggle, a pleased grin forming on rose colored lips. " hi, momma. "
her eyes rolled at his comment about mothers, unable to stifle her laugh too much. the kid was smart, even if he wasn't being that way currently. hayley refused to answer his questions, until the woman was out of sight. then she stood in his view while giving a stern look. "i've seen you around my daughter." she admitted closing the space between them before glancing over at the body in the dumpster. if anything he was just like klaus and that made her even more nervous. "so we are going to have a small talk right now and honestly i don't need to hear much from you, but if you harm hope i will find you. so will her dad and honestly he can be scarier than me most days."
taking a step back, she gave laurie some space. "try to be more discreet with all this death. i don't think you are the serial killer, just some kid with a an appetite."
Laurie groaned, looking up. "God, this town is full of buzz kills, isn't it?" He looked at her with a crooked expression, "Can a guy not have a little drink without everyone and their mother interrupting?" Heaven forbid she looked into the dumpster. Still holding the barely living girl, he bit his wrist and forced it into her mouth, watching as her neck knit itself back together. Then, he spun her around and looked in her eyes. "Forget everything that's happened in the past twenty minutes. Go inside, collect your friends, and go home. And don't do anything reckless for the next few days, for god's sake." The woman nodded and marched back inside. Laurie found the interruption of a woman's face again. "Better?"

she nodded her head at his statement, it was hard to be okay when people were being murder because they were supernatural. "you're right..." hayley trailed off, trying to think of any good news to tell andrew, but nothing came to mind. she was in the dark as everyone else. "no, honestly i don't have much information right now, but i'm trying to find out more." she knew the risks of having kids, but she also wanted to be a mother.. wanted to change the story, making sure the ending wasn't grim and violent like her past. "have you heard anything? i'll take anything even if it seems small."
" i guess that would depend on your definition of okay . " he sighed . andrew knew that he had the choice of becoming human again , by taking the cure but after the life he lived while he was human he was happy to leave that part of his life behind . yet , the thought of someone hurting his family and him being powerless to do anything about it didn't sit well for the redhead . " any news on what's going on with the killings ? "
gabriela looked up at him with big doe-like eyes after he pulled back, her lips still pouting from the kiss. every time he came back from these trips, the two would wind up in the same position, waking up tangled in sheets, while one of them as the big spoon. she'd welcome it every time, never once complaining. when tyler closed the spaced between them a chill ran up her spine, placing her palms on the counter behind them, she lifted her body up and sat on the edge of the cool tile, the icy feeling against her warm skin made her gasp softly. gabi's legs wrapped around his waist, making sure there was no space between them, as she tilted her head with a devious grin. leaning forward, she got close to his ear and whispered. "i miss the way you feel against me." biting her lip, she then kissed his earlobe softly, before pulling back to look him in the eyes.
"you did tell me everything by the way, so since i always keep my promises." their hands gripped the bottom of an already small shirt before slowly lifting it above their head, throwing it swiftly to the side, to reveal a sheer bra underneath. "i guess you could say, i was prepared." tyler would find out soon that her underwear matched.
she told him that he didn't have to thank her , but honestly he believed that she had deserved so much more . she deserved everything , she had deserved all of him and he knew that he would do anything for her , including die . after gabriela spoke all the lockwolf could do was smile softly as he felt her thumbs rub across his cheek . " me too " he confessed after she spoke about being happy that he was home .
he was lost in her gaze , she had the ability to make him feel like he was the only man in the world . her kind words were empowering as she kissed his lips softly . tyler hands moved to hold her face . " i know i'm not supposed to thank you but thank you . " he spoke before he kissed her back softly . " for being a wonder mother . . " he hummed against her lip . " and this is for being a damn good wife . " he kissed her deeply . his lips pressed into her sweet ones finding them to be addictive . all these years his fire still burned for her . still yearning for her touch , her kiss , and her love . " god i want you . " he confessed against her lips as he moved his body closer to her leaving no space .
josie knew all too well how it felt, to spend hours going over words that were long and often made no sense. she'd done it for months with hope, after the merge and it drained every thing out of her. it was so easy to recognize and so she hadn't realized she was staring. placing her hands in the air, the siphoner smiled softly. "sorry, i just noticed you seem like you've had a rough day." getting up from her stool, josie made her way over to the other with tight lipped smile. amelie let out a weary sigh as she rested her head on the cool surface of the bar table, exhaustion weighing heavily on her shoulders. the day's endless pursuit of elusive magic had left her drained, her mind swirling with endless questions and doubts. she had spent hours poring over ancient tomes and scrolls, searching for a glimmer of understanding, a hint of the knowledge she so desperately sought - and now? well, now she just wanted to get drunk, wasted even.
with a thud, she made a sound against the wood, too tired to care about the noise. her gaze drifted lazily across the dimly lit room, only to catch the stare of someone nearby. without lifting her head, she turned slightly to face them.
"is it a habit of yours to stare at young women?" she asked, her voice tinged with a hint of resignation. tonight, she had neither the energy nor the patience for anyone's idle scrutiny.
it had been a whirlwind couple hours, coming back to life would've been a lot harder had she not found nikolas. he quickly got her back on her feet and she was grateful, but she also needed some time to mull it over. questions bounced in her mind and none of them had answers. it hadn't been made public knowledge, that eleanor was back from the dead so when people clamored around her, she couldn't help but become nervous. walking faster, she managed to get away from the crowd. a man's voiced caused her to jump, looking up at him she shrugged. "yeah, just not used to so many people looking at me." her eyes darted from the cigarette and back, she'd never smoked before but here she was craving some type of vice. twilight, again. darkened haze swept over the skies above, most parts of the town simmering down to lull themselves into the evening to slumber, or tranquil bliss though here in the midst of the french quarter, life still breathed heavily, souls welcoming the darkening skies, starting their night off right with a drink at roussea's, some even braving it without a drink in their system, lucien looked upon them fondly whilst they bustled passed. surely he thought they'd be having a drink later on. his midst of his back against the pole, long legs crossed at the ankle - somehow, he still stood upright. an inkiness consumed his light hues when a tourist popped in his line of site, it would be easy for lucien to take this solo tourist out of the world, lifting from the post he was about to make his way over when a small child came up to the man, it popped the illusion of feasting.
his back fell against the beam again, holding him very much upright, nimble fingers delve inside his pocket, fishing out cigarette and his lighter in the one motion and placed between his lips. he had just lit the cigarette when a commotion on the street caught his attention, people taking to the streets he assumed after the murders, swivel of his body brought him off his post when he collided with someone, it piqued his interest. he plucked the cigarette from his lips and tried to be mindful. ❝ you alright ? ❞ lucien asked, a hint of concern though that was for his suit more then the person.
josie walked over to the scene just in time, to see the man speed away after handing mia a card. tilting her head, she made her way over to the other and giggled softly. "i guess there are worse things to be left with than a nice card and some balloons." she hadn't seen mia in so long, so she quickly gave the other a tight hug before pulling back and examining the display. "does the card have a name?"
location: rousseau's bar
Mia walked out from the back of the restaurant into the bar area when she spotted the collection of balloons being placed on the ground near the door. A delivery man was quick to hand her a card and then headed for the door before she could stop him. "Wait, these aren't for here," she called out, looking over the card, but the man was already gone. She looked up at the balloons with a smile. "What am I doing to do with you?"
