Restraints in whump

Strapped to a metal table, staring into the luminescent lights on the ceiling.

Handcuffed to a hospital bed to prevent an escape attempt.

A leather muzzle strapped to the face on account of the subject’s “aggression”.

Ropes binding wrists and ankles to a chair, carving into skin.

A metal collar connected to a chain which can be used to pull the captive around.

Strong arms wrapped around someone until they stop fighting.

Chains around ankles or wrists, being pulled along by captors as they march a prisoner through the streets.

Confined to a straight jacket in a padded cell after lashing out against staff members.

A single chain connected from the ankle to a wall, limiting movement and serving as a constant reminder that there’s no escape.

Tie your whumpee up by their wrists, rough rope digging into their skin. Then whip them, over and over, until their legs give out and they slump against the post. Until each breath is a ragged, desperate gasp, until the world spins around them and stars to fade in and out of focus, until all they can hear is the snap of the whip and their own blood dripping on the ground.

The Whumps of March

This is a multi-fandom whump event with prompts inspired by literature. For this inaugural event, I decided to take inspiration from the Bard himself. If it goes well I'd love to do it again next year, the universe willing.

"Stop! Stop it! Get AWAY from them!" The Caretaker thrashed wildly in their binds, ropes cutting into their wrists.

The whumper didn't spare them a glance.

They only had eyes for the trembling figure in front of them.

The whumpee's knees were pulled up to their chest, eyes wide with fear.

"Get away, don't touch them! Don't fucking touch-"

"It would be better for your friend if you kept your mouth shut from now on."

i really like the trope of an extremely traumatized whumpee sharing a bed with caretaker, who just happens to be their partner.

they don’t do anything, it’s not like that.

it’s the way that caretaker holds whumpee, giving them warmth and a sense of security, helping them fall asleep, and comforting them after nightmares.

now whumpee can relax despite everything they went through; they trust caretaker so much, and caretaker loves them so much, even with all their trauma.

whumpee can only sleep when caretaker is near them, they’ve become their entire sense of security.

it’s just so sad- but so perfect 😭
