Faramir and Éowyn have my heart because they both went through so much pain in their lives but remained truly good people and when they found eachother they helped one another to heal and the steward and the king chapter of RoTK is one of my absolute favourites it's so sweet. Also I just adore Faramir and I want him to be happy so much.
oh i thought that was bad???? crying on the floor after busman's honeymoon
gaudy night has actually broken me
The more I think about it the more convinced I become that I am in fact a hobbit and if I'm not one already I will make it my life's mission to become one. Those people have the best lives. They live in their beautiful land in their cute cosy houses and eat seven meals a day and party all the time and have cute curly hair and don't have to wear shoe. I need it.
please can we all have a moment of appreciation for the most cute wonderful creature that is Monsieur Bob!!!! And Snubby, the dog who played him in the Dumb Witness episode of Poirot.
Me? Oh, no I'm completely fine. Definitely not spending every waking moment thinking about how Faramir gave Éowyn his mother's cloak and kissed her on the city walls and taught her that she could come out of the dark and find happiness again. Or that Éowyn showed Faramir that he was truly worth something very valuable when his father had always acted as though he were worthless and the person who loved him unconditionally, his brother, was dead. Nope. Not thinking about that. At all.
Still waiting for a man who will feed me potatoes and carry me up a volcano and tenderly kiss my forehead when I've just woken up
Thank you for blessing the world with this it made me smile so much
Arthur Hastings is your man for any rough stuff that arises!
Reading Curtain permanently wounded my soul because my baby Hastings who deserves everything in the world was left alone without his wife and his best friend/husband and all his children left him and he was just so sad for that whole book and I couldn't bear it
So I like to think (even though it doesn't fit the timeline) that he retired somewhere with Bob. The dog from Dumb Witness. Because he loved that dog and he deserves a good companion. Also I adore Bob.
the Quilin (might've spelt that wrong) bows to Dumbledore??? This makes no sense to me. Isn't it supposed to bow to someone pure of heart who can handle power and not be corrupt??? Dumbledore has already shown that he can be corrupted from his dealings with Grindelwald, why would he be chosen? He's a good man but he certainly has a capacity for evil. I propose that the Quillin should've bowed to Newt. I am certain that that man is literally incorruptible and he is so pure and wonderful, all he wants to do is help creatures he does not and will never have plans to use power for ill, so isn't he perfect??? Idk I just thought it was odd.
My crushes on fictional men with blond or light brown hair need to be studied I do not understand myself
