I'll go in order of character (art) so-
Ralph: After getting home from the island, his parents (more likely just his mom) immediately enrolled him in a military or private school and started kinda smothering him to keep him safe. Now, in his adulthood, he's living a sort-of normal life but he is still dealing with all of the trauma and stuff from the island and his childhood in general (I mean, these kids all spent their early teen years in the midst of a war. That's scary as hell). He either lives alone in a house his parents bought him or he lives in an apartment with some random ass roommates he barely knows. Lol
Jack: Catholic priest and head of the local Church's adult choir (are these things that someone can be at the same time? Idk just pretend). His whole life basically revolves around Church at this point as it's one of his only escapes from "real life". His "real life" mostly consists of putting up with his friend's crap and trying to find his place in the world. After the island, he's been trying his best to better, he really is, but he's still the same manipulative and easily-annoyed kid at heart. But hes doing his best!! :) (dear Catholics of Tumblr please correct me on anything I get wrong with him 🙏 I'm LDS so I dont know much about Catholicism lol (I will do research though!!))
Roger: You know when you go out in public and theres like at least one guy all in black and leather and you try to ignore him but cant because you're scared of him? Roger's totally that guy. He isnt all too rude to random people but he's very quiet and he keeps to himself (especially in public). He doesnt really go to Chuorch anymore but he's still Jack's #1 fan boy. He's sort of in contact with Maurice but they aren't the friends they used to be. After the island, Roger probably went home and his parents tried to help him out with his mental state and all that but whatever they were doing didnt help too much and he's still basically the same way he was before the island. He's probably more quiet than before though.
Maurice: Probably just some normal dude. He's an accountant, he has two daughters and a wife, he goes to Church on sundays. He's just a normal guy basically. He probably named his kids something like Maureen and Nancy (they're so twins and they're around 12 or so? Maybe younger idk). He's still good friends with Jack and they both have a lot of respect for eachother. He doesn't talk to Roger much, maybe a couple times a month, and he's sorta scared of him but he doesnt mind him all too much. Like, if he saw him in public (uhhh let's just say at a McDonalds) he'd probably go up to him and try to come up with conversation but like.. Roger's eating and quiet so he isnt saying anything so Maurice just kinda leaves. Idk lol. Maurice is a fun guy I like him. He probably likes parties.
I havent drawn them yet and they probably look the same and are similar so uhhh
Samneric: They probably both have normal enough lives. Similarly to Maurice, they probably just live in nice houses with their kids and whatever. They're still basically inseparable though and they can still do the whole "twin telepathy" thing XD. Very random addition but they sorta remind me of the triplets from Boss Baby lol (even though Samneric are twins and the triplets are... triplets). I dont know what else to say about them.

I always forget that Thomas Sanders himself is on Tumblr. It isnt too surprising but seeing him reblog Sanders Sides art every once in a while always makes me happy and puts me in a state of disbelief because like- WOAH. God will reveal many great and important things, such a hopeful thing to proclaim.
Since this blog is specifically by and for queer Latter-day Saints, how about we say that God will reveal many great and important things for queer people.
The Articles of Faith teach that we have a prophet, someone who acts as a spokesperson for God. What is our prophet revealing about queer people?
God loves His children and wants them to have joy.
He announced at BYU that homosexual immorality would be treated in the eyes of the Church in the same manner as heterosexual immorality, no longer would it be treated as much worse with heavier consequences.
He also used the terms gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender.
President Nelson also oversaw changes to the Handbook to soften things said about gay people and to provide more opportunities for them to be involved.
While these are incredibly small steps, they are steps forward toward more inclusion.
During President Nelson's term, the Handbook has undergone two major transformations regarding trans people, and it's interesting how much these two versions contradict each other, which makes me think they are still working their way through things and we'll see more big changes again in a few years.

I want to point out that the ninth Article of Faith does not say that it's the prophet who will reveal the many great and important things. Queer people are getting these revelations for ourselves. What are things being revealed to queer people? Here's a few things I regularly hear from queer people:
Being queer isn't offensive to God
I was intended to be this way from before my mortal existence
God's love for us isn't contingent on our choices
God's okay with me dating and seeking a relationship
God is okay with me not dating and remaining alone
God is okay with me stepping away from this church
God is fine with me staying in the church, but it's not required, it's my choice
Each step I take forward in my transition feels right and good
When I die I won't suddenly become not queer
No one comprehends what heaven is like but we will be okay
God recognizes the queerphobic circumstances we live in and how hard that makes our lives and how that can keep us from joy
God wants us to have joy!
These are all very different from what the LDS Church taught me during my youth. Maybe queer people get these messages because they directly affect us and maybe because we are sincerely persistent in wanting answers that pertain to us.
Think about what you've learned from God about yourself, your path, and your future as a queer person, these are great and important things!

His hair has gotten so curly and you can tell that I've gotten more attached to him over the like 2 years hes existed because of how different he looks lol (also!! my art style was basically the same back then. for the first image I was trying to do a different, more normalish and comicy, art style lol)

Sure hes my favorite character and I am very biased but like it would be SUCH a missed opportunity to not use him in at least one of these films. I understand that it's very unlikely he will ever show up but I mean... Vanessa's in these movies. Why not add another newer/steel wool character in? For funsies? As a treat?? Please??
Like I said though, it's such a missed opportunity not to. Hes such a freaking good character and not utilizing him is so sad. There is so much they could do with him. He could be a one off character like Ness (I'll still be happy). He could be a major character with no past relation to the main characters but hes still just there. He could work for William. He could be a family friend of Will and Vanessa. He could be some random homeless kid they (Mike and Vanessa) meet and talk to just for worldbuilding reasons (this is probably the most likely option). But like. There is SO MUCH you could do with this kid!!
I DOUBT theyll do anything with GGY (sadly. It would be really cool) but you could still make him and uhhh what's his name. Yellow Rabbit? Okay. Yeah. You could still make him and the Yellow Rabbit work together. Heck, you could make Gregory a robot that William made. That would be cool. And it would work!! Probably!! Idk honestly I just really like gregbot I am so sorry I know it isnt canon 😔
Ok yeah. Tl;dr: Gregory would be such a good character to add to the movies and it would be such a missed opportunity to not put him in them, even as a small part/cameo :) thank you for reading my ted talk !! 😛

GSUYSGUYSGUYSGUYSGUSYGSUYSGSUYSGUYS I GOT THE GRAPHIC NOVEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IM SO HAPPYY AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH (read below the cut for a very long, amateur written review :3)
The graphic novel was SO FUCKING GOOD. The art, the writing (which it is just basically the original book so it's good lol), and just EVERYTHING is perfect. Gonna get my only complaint out of the way real quick: Roger didnt get to go on that one mission thing with Jack and Ralph like he does in the og book 💔💔. Also I just really wanted a shot of him after Piggy's death but yknow I cant be mad there wasnt one lol.
ANYWAYS. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING. One thing I really want to mention is the color and atmosphere. Good, pretty, and meaningful coloring is a thing I really aspire to achieve in my art (I obviously havent gotten there yet) but this book pulls it off PERFECTLY. It sets the tone and atmosphere for every scene perfectly. Simon's death and meeting with the Lord of the Flies, the first fire, the last fire, the green of the woods, Ralph's emotions(theres one page, that's probably my favorite page, where they just show Ralph's feelings basically and its beautiful) are all portrayed PERFECTLY.
Another thing, this book literally almost made me cry. Simon's death made me put down the book and take a break for a couple minutes. This ONE SCENE WITH RALPH AND PIGGY. JUST THE INAGE OF THEM SOBBING AND HOLDING EACHOTHER MADE ME SO FREAKING UPSET.
Piggy's death made me so sad and the ENDING. OH THE ENDING. THERES THIS ONE PAGE AT THE END THATS JUST SEVERAL IMAGES OF THE KIDS CRYING AND IT MADE ME LIKE PUT MY HAND OVER MY MOUTH. LIKE WHAT. THERES ONLY BEEN LIKE A COUPLE OR SO OTHER BOOKS THAT HAVE MADE ME THIS UPSET. NOT EVEN THE ORIGINAL NOVEL DID. (Except for Piggy and Simon's deaths. But like, they 1. Only hit me that hard on the second reading and 2. I dont think that I had THIS big of reaction to them anyway. Similar, but less extreme).
This book means so much to me. I'll be getting my own copy of the original soon and I cant wait to reread it once again. Please, if you have the money and patience to wait for shipping, BUY THIS BOOK. Whether it be the beautiful graphic novel or the amazing original novel. Please just read this book.
