I couldn't resist.
Penelope is going to go through a lot in this story. While simultaneously keeping a dark secret of betrayal, she learns to like Sly, Bentley, and Murray all over again.
She ends up having a change of heart, and finally starts to see the boys as her family... only for Le Paradox's reveal at the end of Episode 5 to nearly rip that away from her, and right when their trust in her is at an all time high.
Another thing I like in Sly Cooper is how each game opens with the Cooper Gang having a conversation before a big heist– but the conversations are all very different because the characters are Growing Up™.
Like– in the opening Paris heist, Sly 1 Bentley is anxioUSLY SCREAMING about how nervous he is. But in the beginning of the Cooper Vault heist, Sly 3 Bentley is confidently and excitedly telling Sly that they’re going to pull off the Crime of the Century.
Sly 1 Murray is waiting in the van, Sly 3 Murray is “PUMPED” and ready to go out into the field.
Sly 2 Sly rolls his eyes at Bentley and makes fun of his dorky attempts to use code-names….. Sly 3 Sly is TOTALLY on board with Bentley’ dorky code-names and takes them very seriously, because he’s grown to respect Bentley so much more over the events of the previous games.
It’s just really sweet! The little thief children are growing up…..
During Something's Fishy (Episode 1), instead of a hacking segment, we get a "protect Bentley" segment...
What Bentley thinks happened: Murray took out most of the guards. He's sure Penelope got at least a few of the smaller ones.
What actually happened: Murray and Penelope each took out half of the guards. Murray swears she took out a little more than half.
Is Murray trying to make his little sister look good? Maybe. But both of them did pull their weight. Too bad Bentley didn't see any of it...
Moral of the story: Don't underestimate this mouse girl. Sadly, that's a lesson Bentley won't fully learn until Episode 2's Jail Break...

Bentley sketches ✨✨✨
Petition for Sly 3 to get a proper sequel that’s just the girls kicking ass
…..does the sly cooper fandom still exist
did the sly cooper fandom ever exist
I'm aware my WIP fanfiction shares a name with a WIP comic series. I wish us both luck in our writing.
First time drawing Penelope and it didn’t suck as much as I thought WOOHOO
So the first matter of business after discovering the return of Clockwerk is to find Penelope so they track her down to where the last photo was taken and whoops haha turns out Clockwerk is not a fan of paparazzi
But hey eventually all the wounds get treated and despite a huge amount of tension they all start to fall into a sort of comfort zone with each other and you could almost pretend she never left
(Bentley is still reluctant to talk with her but hey it’s understandble let’s focus on retrieving Sly and THEN we can try and salvage the relationship)
ps her eye isn’t gone the skin and lid around it are just really badly hurt so she wears a patch for awhile also senor shitbird ripped out her earring so she pierced the other one and has a cooper cane earring cuuuuuute
Seriously, fans? Why does Sly get to have all the fun?
I know having Penelope go that hard is a bold move, but come on. If she started this whole mess, and feels a need to correct her mistakes, shouldn't she end it herself?
We can even have her feel like she has to do it alone, or else her attempt to atone for what she did won't count.
But because I'm not a monster, let's also have the rest of the playable cast join her so they can kick some skunk tail!
And for good measure, Penelope also gets to finish Le Paradox off. Complete with a speech on what she learned about friendship.
Of course, she will have to be told her attempt did count. And that she nailed it. And no, Sly will not be lost in time.
