"La vida (Aoyama) nos hizo primos, pero el Norte (Fandom) nos hizo esposos"
"Life (Aoyama) made us cousins, but the North (Fandom) made us husbands"
The fact that they're cousins isn't going to stop me. It's too late for that. You're 30 years late, Aoyama. And I've NEVER taken the movies as canon (。•̀ᴗ-)✧
So… IN YOUR FACE! HA-HA! (☞^o^) ☞
Okay, so Horikoshi said he'd already revealed Izuku's father before… I've been searching and searching, and the only one I can think of who it could be is this guy.
This man supported Izuku from the first chapter and told him he could be a hero.
Even during the war when no one else wanted him around or believed in Izuku, this man continued to support him.
He may not be biological or adoptive, but by supporting and encouraging Izuku in that way without distrusting him when things got worse, I think this man showed that not everyone can be a father, but this man definitely earned the honorary title of 'Izuku's Father' for me.
I DON'T KNOW HOW I DIDN'T SEE IT BEFORE! ┻━┻ミ\(≧ロ≦\)
But if I add this guy
with this beauty
I think it results in this cute boy.
For God's sake…
I think I'd better check the operation… (• ▽ •;)
This guy again...
Add this Beauty...
Results in...
Okay, maybe I'm standing in front of the future BkDk son...I don't know, I just know it's starting to get hot in here... or is it just me? (´⊙ω⊙`)!
I was just rewatching Sk8 the infinity and then I saw Nanjo and suddenly I was like... "This guy looks like Izuku, if Izuku had Kacchan's eyes… wait, what if Nanjo was Katsuki and Izuku's son who was born thanks to the hit of a lucky quirk?" And I had to leave that idea here.
What do you say? Could it be? ╮(. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)╭
thinking about the kudo family today. I mean I get that you guys love each other and are very famous but why would you abandon your child? He was barely even a teenager when you left him. No wonder he is out there, making flashy deductions, hungry to get some form of attention that is not from his best friend. Maybe he thinks that if he too is a celebrity like his mum and a famous detective like his father, they would love him more. They would visit him more. They would maybe finally stay.
It took Shinichi almost dying for them to return to Japan. Then they kidnap him, make him think he is going to die at the hands of people who tried to kill him earlier. After talking with him, they disappear again. No wonder Shinichi is the way he is right now.
There are many incompetent people unfit to be parents in the DCMK world, but the Kudos are definitely in the Top 3 after the Kurobas who take the cake for being the worst parents ever in the world of DCMK.
recently have seen people on tiktok be disgusted at people saying they still ship kaishin even after the revealing of them being cousins... Idk about you guys but if I enjoyed a ship for 20 years them being related wouldn't stop me at all
I just wanted to take a few steps, get in there, stretch out my arms, grab those 4 and RUN WITH THEM STRAIGHT TO OUR NEW HOME! IT DIDN'T MATTER IF SECURITY WAS CHASING ME I WOULD HAVE LOST THEM ZIGZAGGING! BUAHHAHAHA!(つ✧ω✧)つ THEY ARE MY BABIES! MINE AND ONLY MINE! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!(@▽@)
I just know… I don't want to see them animate 431, I hope they stick to 430, my desire to see the end of Bnha animated has completely faded (ب_ب)
Some people I know told me that 431 is the perfect ending just because (SUPPOSEDLY) Izuku ended up staying with Ochako, they don't understand that Izuku practically threw away his character growth by turning his back on Katsuki.
I said to them: "What happened to Izuku's dreams then? What happened to the Izuku who told his Kacchan: ‘’All Might was my hero, but you were the one actually in my life!’’ Then Izuku saying 'No' to Katsuki when he asked him to join his agency makes no sense! It's a setback of EPIC proportions!…
That's without forgetting the problems with the drawings themselves, there are several mistakes that we know Horikoshi would never make, like the characteristic face in All Might's signature, Kirishima's hand, the differences in the drawings of the new mecha suit between 430 and 431, and many more things, thinking deeply about it I think Horikoshi only drew one frame of that chapter, one page I would say maybe if I want to be magnanimous enough, but I don't think so!" (눈‸눈)•••
anyway continue: "if people like you are going to say that an ending is good just because of the SUPPOSED pairing, then they don't really know how to appreciate what a good work is or the story behind it and they just like it because it's what they expected to see… people like that shouldn't wave their opinion like it was a flag as if they had won the war because of a simple TINY detail, if you are going to give your opinion, do it yes, but put something behind it to back it up!, as they say in exams: "Put your answer and JUSTIFY IT!". Don't just talk for the sake of talking!, 431 is far from being the perfect ending, 431 doesn't even end with a true declaration of love for the Izuocha, wake up!, if it were then by shaking hands like that I would already be dating you, the PRESUMPTIVE chapter 431 is just the failed attempt to please simple people like you!"
That's what I told them and now those people don't even talk to me anymore ಠ﹏ಠ
If people are going to go crazy over 431 while it's still manga, then I don't want to see how they'll go when they anime that chapter! ತ_ತ
That being said, I definitely don't want to see when they anime the end of Bnha! Because of 431 I realized I'm friendless! (ノT_T)ノ ^┻━┻
i think 431 is just fanfic for the author and the team, but the problem is that for the audience it's a big chunk of disappointment since there is nothing that generally interests us, outside of shipping. Like where is all might? Where's the parents? where's the kid from the previous chapter? How are Izuku's lectures going? How does the mech suit work in action? How are the agencies like?
We get nothing of this, which are infinitely more interesting things to talk about than Ochako's love life, and the little we get is just verbally stated instead of shown.
Well, i see what Hori said in the extra as permission to ignore it, so ignore it i will. lol
Like, honestly, if you like a particular ship then this bonus piece is for you. Other than that, it was... whatever.
I'm rather indifferent to it, but there are bits I did like such as seeing the class be together again and also suiting up to fight a villain. (And of course, Miruko. But why is she isn't higher in the rankings? I still feel she should be the highest ranked female Pro Hero, but I digress. She's #1 to me.)
And honestly, that's what I wished the epilogue would have been more of. Seeing the class together. I said it before, but I was imaginging 431 to be like showing us Midoriya's first day back as a Pro Hero and the rest being bonus trivia, extra information, that kind of stuff.
431 did feel like some fanfiction and something to cater to shipping and even I though I have my ships, I could care less about seeing them in canon. As in I have to see them or else I'll fall unconscious or something--- NO!
I would have liked to see where All Might was and see how Inko was doing. We gotten Present Mic being ranked in the rankings, but how about Eraser Head? Eri? How is Dai doing?
That's why 431, at least to me, felt out of place and not necessary. Because it really wasn't.
I'll give it some bit of grace that it takes place probably immediately after 430 did.
Because that chapter did give up some bits of how and/or where some of the other characters are doing and was left open-ended for the rest to be imagined (which I didn't mind, in fact, all for it)... I guess that is why 431 went the way it did.
Whoever worked on it, I guess felt that way.
I actually got stuck with the whole Deku being the Demon King's son thing and that old princess meme thing that I had to take out mine and here it is… ~(つˆДˆ)つ。☆
He is a princess!
Izuku was definitely born from Shoujo and was forced into Shounen. (^~^;)ゞ
They are and always will be the main canon couple! (≧▽≦)
Because 431 is a complete Fuckin CRAP! and an ending of dubious origin!
And If you don't believe me then fight me!
SHITTY EXTRAS!
I will forever loathe the articles that keepsñ on saying Deku and Uraraka is confirmed because of Chapter 431 BUT IT'S NOT, IT IS JUST LEFT INTO INTERPRETATION! They just hold hands and says they want to talk more. It's not even Horikoshi's intended work.
There's nothing substantial there. I'm unsubscribing.
The only thing I like about 431 is that Katsuki knows that he must treat Princess Deku as if he were a jewel, transporting him on a comfortable cushion ( ꈍᴗꈍ)
Yes, I said princess, he is the adorable son of the Demon King after all...
Ha? How come Dad For One wasn't revealed? You know what? I don't care! If you have any complaints, talk to the hand (-_- )ノ
Yes, with Izuku's hand ಡ ͜ ʖ ಡ
First let's start by the "afterword", the note Horikoshi left after 430 and before the extras, chapter 431.
Original japanese for those who understand.
The best traslation I found and most people are agreeing with.
Key sentences are:
1.The real final chapter is 429, 430 is more like a curtain call.
2. PS: For chapter 431, I turn off the cameras and free the characters from their dramas.
This note being left after 430 and before the extras is so important. . The clarification of "the real final chapter is 429" and 430 is the curtain call is screaming: the show has ended here. This is further stated by "i turn the cameras off" by the man who use to refer himself as the camera man, I leave you with an example.
(They're talking about Vol 37 cover)
And back to point number 2: "and free the characters from their dramas", which could perfectly be understood as "the characters are no longer tied to their previous plots and drama" no longer connected to the main story.
It may seem like a reach until here, we're just trying to convince ourselves that's not canon, right? They´re delusions, right?
The problem is how far away everything about 431 antagonizes the whole story, the characters doesn't feel like themselves, they even regress back all their development, the drawing style looks totally different and there are many irregularities that call for our attention.
Dabi, 431 and by Horikoshi
Toga and Ochaco in 431:
Toga and Ochaco by Horikoshi:
All Might's signature for Katsuki (Horikoshi would never mess this up):
Kirishima with 6 fingers lol, Horikoshi loves drawing hands, he would never.
Katsuki's odd teeth what the fuck. (His hand looks good to me)
Ochaco and Shoto just look, weird. It's clearly not Horikoshi's art style.
And this awful background (center) was the main giveaway.
Horikoshi's backgrounds are so professional:
At this point I'm getting tired since the difference is astounding, don't believe me, just check the manga.
I don't think Horikoshi would've allowed those mistakes had he have a role in the making, maybe he did, there's no saying about that, but clearly if he did his involvement was very low.
Character's development wise now.
Seriously? "Deku"? And Katsuki complaining for picking him up. He cried his eyes out when Izuku lost his quirk and now he's back at season 1?
Izuku would never in a million years turn down that offer. And if he did, it would never be like this, so devoid of emotion and empathy.
430 showed us an Izuku aiming for his dreams again and at 431 this Izuku ¿? It's okay with being a teacher? Ok. And if that's not the problem, why he outright rejects Katsuki out of nowhere? When their rivalry was one of the main points of the plots for 430 chapters and now just um over? Without justification? Ok.
Ok.
Now specifically about that ship canonization and bkdk.
Horikoshi has been doing this for 10 years. The choices he took the whole manga were incredibly intentional, all those romantic tropes given to bkdk, his interviews, all stand in direct opposition to what happened in this last chapter.
I, myself, don't know much about Jump but what I've heard is they end lot of shonens with the same heterosexual formula. I don't think all of this is a coincidence.
Something really important that needs to be adressed to is what happened back in June (I think), when suddenly MHA announced it was ending in 5 chapters could've something to do with this. The manga was suddenly rushed to its ends with unsatisfying resolutions and as if that was not enough, one month later (at most) the same happened to JJK and all of this came accompanied by a switch of one of the heads of Jump.
About 431 again though.
I was just thinking what would I do if I was pressured to write something that ruins the biggest project of my life and goes against everything I was hoping for? Refuse. Tell them to write it themselves. If I can't do anything to stop it and it'll be there, alright, but I WON'T DO IT.
And I think this could be Horikoshi's case.
I've never seen a shonen manga come so close to implying his male protagonist and his male deuteragonist are in love before. Yes, it was not EXPLICIT but it was so fucking clear if you knew how to read, all the way up to 430. All those cliches tropes he gave them, he knew, we know.
I thought I'll die trying to explaineverything that seems wrong with this with nothing to back me up but the fact that he added that note is clear for me. I'm surprised they allowed him to publish it, I thought we wouldn't even have that.
PS:
It's interesting this being posted the same day 431 comes out. Also "heroaca is pretty dark, huh?"
I'll not go into this anyways because it's kind of a reach but the conclusion is: I think it's a "soft" censorship and Horikoshi did his best to relay his message given what he had.
Thanks for reading!
ik everyone has their opinions on 431 but tbh none of that really matters to me bc of this specific panel
Ahhh I meant to ask, if you do end up giving thoughts on the leaks, I would LOVE to know your thoughts and this epilogue’s endings for bakugou (obviously!) and ochako as well.. in detail pls hehe
Everyone and their dog apparently wants my thoughts on the chapter, and I have to say I just don't wanna give them in the detail people seem to crave. Look, the chapter is meh. It's just meh. There are some cute things that happen in it and it seems that's at the expense of consistency in the story. They clearly didn't think about the things they were implying hard enough. Oh, Izuku and Ochako just didn't fucking interact for 8 years after high school but NOW Izuku wants to talk more? What about Ochako's school program with children that seems RIGHT UP Izuku's alley? They're both practically pursuing the same thing but apparently never breathe each other's air. Despite not thinking about each other for literal years apparently they're still attracted to each other, which, why? What are they attracted to? They're entirely new people now, they're meeting as adults with quite a few years missing between them? Oh, here's the rankings but also we're gonna give a throwaway line about how they're volatile and useless bUT STILL WE'RE GONNA GIVE YOU THEM. THEY DON'T MEAN ANYTHING ACTUALLY BUT HERE THEY ARE. Okay let's just imply Himiko is going to be Ochako's voyeur for life.
But worst of all is the weird idea that this is somehow the logical conclusion of the story that came before it. A conclusion should cap off the themes of its story and MAYBE introduce a new question to ponder. The story should LOGICALLY lead to the conclusion. But this conclusion basically turns around and says "Things change when you're an adult. You'll be a totally different person and maybe have new dreams. Except also you may not. Life is normal and boring and dreams sometimes die." What? WHAT????? Where's the theme of service to others? Where's the theme of heroes inspiring the next generation? Why are we implying heroes who are too good at their job will force their job to become unnecessary and die out but then try to prove no wait heroes are still necessary because sometimes people get weird urges to steal cars? What? Whatttt??? So heroes just exist now to be the quirk police basically. This is what all those kids were growing up to be? That's a weird implication after a whole story where the entire adult generation showed a VERY DIFFERENT AND MORE ADMIRABLE BRAND OF HEROISM (except for those that didn't, which was far more interesting than whatever this is). So the future of heroes AND villains is banality? Petty useless shit?
This is why 430 was such a good ending chapter. It DID showcase heroism in a mundane setting that actually had meaning and impact and inspiration. It made Izuku's adult life look like a fulfillment of his dream just in a new way.
In 431, Katsuki Bakugo is the only major character that shows a connection to the story that came before. He's the only one that still dreams of heroism and unity and inspiration, and he still thinks about who Izuku is deep down and resolves to save him from his stupidity AND SUCCESSFULLY DOES IT. He's the only one that resembles the heroic ideal that All Might supposedly instilled in everyone's hearts. MAYBE Ochako does too, but it's for a brief flash and then suddenly we're back on the mundane train (pun not intended) in a bad way.
And Shouto. Shouto can stay because he's the only character who PROPERLY introduces the question of "more to a hero than heroism" in the ending as a conclusion that introduces a new question, but it just...doesn't lead anywhere. I could see a potential path for that to have led the chapter somewhere meaningful, but it didn't.
So I maintain Katsuki is standing there watching on as the only character thinking about how the fuck to inspire people to be heroes again.
In summary, if I consider this the actual conclusion to the whole story, it's ass. I don't want it. It's useless and almost condescending. It's like the chapter is shaming me. How dare I enjoy the 430 chapters that came before, how dare I dream and feel inspired, how dare I expect anything of the concept of "hero" introduced by All Might and then the next one introduced by Izuku? But if I consider it an extra DLC bonus omake what-if didn't-think-too-hard-about-this-I'm-just-spitballing-and-having-fun-or-whatever side comic, fine, whatever, the mundane banality it wants to be succeeds, because I'm bored and I'm ignoring it. I'll have fun with it in fanfic maybe if I feel like it, but I ain't tying this shit into the themes of the actual MHA story. It doesn't belong there.
If that all sounds like more than you bargained for with your ask, it's because I received 30 other asks all wanting me to expand on these points, and so I decided to consolidate them all here. It's just too many asks for me to respond to individually. If I don't answer your ask, random anon reading this, it's because I consider your ask answered well enough.
Help my family survive the inferno of war and restore hope and a dignified life to us🚨💔🙏🕊️
My name is Mohammad Taysir a 34-year-old Palestinian from Gaza. 🇵🇸 I used to live with my family, which includes my parents, my wife, and my two children, Jude, who is 4 years old, and Yazan, who is 3 years old, in a simple home filled with love and warmth. 🏠❤️ I was striving to provide a decent life for my family despite the enormous challenges in Gaza. 🌟 We lived with the hope that the future would bring better days, but the recent war turned our lives upside down. 💔
I used to work as a mobile app developer, a field I loved and dedicated years of my life to mastering. 💻❤️ My job was our primary source of income, enabling me to provide for my family and give my children a chance for education and a stable life. 🎓👨👩👧👦 I used to spend long hours developing applications, dreaming of contributing to the growth of this field in Gaza. 🌟📱 However, with the war, everything suddenly came to a halt. 💔 I lost all my devices and equipment, and I no longer have even the basic environment to continue my work. 🛠️❌ Now, I am unemployed and face daily challenges in securing my family's basic needs. 🥺🍞
One harsh morning, everything changed. Our home was destroyed in an instant due to intense bombing, reduced to nothing but a pile of rubble. 💔 We lost our memories, our safety, and everything we had built over the years. That place, which was a shelter for our dreams and cherished moments, became nothing more than a painful memory. 🏠➡️🪨 The most devastating part was that my father didn’t survive; he passed away, leaving a huge void in our lives. 😢 The feeling of helplessness and shock was unbearable, especially as I suddenly found myself searching for a refuge for my family amidst this destruction. 🌪️👨👩👧👦
Partial Demolition Damages
After it was completely destroyed
We were displaced to the south, to one of the shelter schools, where this temporary place has become our daily reality. Life here feels like a constant struggle; we suffer from severe shortages of food and water, often going to bed hungry or sharing small bites among us. 🍞💧 Medicines are almost nonexistent, leaving us in constant fear for my children’s health, especially with the spread of diseases in this overcrowded space. 😷 The lack of privacy and the biting cold rob us of sleep. 🥶 Every day is a battle for survival, and I try to endure it all with patience, just to give my family a glimmer of hope amidst this never-ending suffering. 🌟
I write to you today in desperate need of your support—not just for us, but for everyone who has lost their home and family in this war. 💔🏠 Your donation could be the hope that helps us rebuild a better life. 🌟 Any assistance you provide, no matter how small, will make a huge difference in our lives. 🙏 In these difficult times, all I can do is humbly ask you to extend a helping hand to us, to restore some hope for the future. 🤲✨ You are the source of goodness, and every donation from you is a ray of light in our lives. 💖🌈
i can't look away from this car crash.
the inconsistencies with the story we read for 400+ chapters, the hopelessness around Izuku's entire character, deeming bkdk's dynamic entirely useless after all the effort to set them up as the 'wonder duo', 'the ultimate rivals' -- and then? What is this? was it all to waste?
where is Izuku defending his dream? where is his ambition to become the #1 hero? if what he wants to do now is teach, you have to show me that!! you should've shown me that sooner! Show me an Izuku who is admired by his teachers (AM, Aizawa, GT...) not because they're heroes, but because he admires how they teach and now he longs to become a mentor as well. Then, maybe, this whole shift in his perspective would make more sense. But the thing is:
Izuku loved his mentors because they were heroes. Not because they were teachers.
(teaching is the noblest profession do not come for me -- all I'm saying is: this is not consistent with his character!)
If he loves being a teacher now, I'm not seeing that, either! I'm not seeing a deep desire to help kids (like Tenko) to make better decisions or have better opportunities.
All I see is a depressed twenty-something boy with dead-eyes and office-shoes. If I wanted to see that, I'd read literally anything else!
Where is Izuku? Where did his character go? what happened to his personality? Where is my shōnen manga MC? the kid who cleaned a beach with his bare hands and no quick, fueled by the ambition to become a hero? if that drive was there before the quick, it surely should be there long after the embers burned out...
it pains me, because it feels as though everything else that happened in this story was for nothing. it collapses on itself and becomes pointless. If the message was that once you grow up you should give up on your dreams--well, then call me Katsuki 'cause I don't even know what to say to that! What kind of shit message is that?
If the message is that you should do the best with your circumstances, Izuku is still not doing that! He could be a hero again now. He has the suit, he had an opening, an offer, even. But he still didn't want it. He's settling. It's mediocre. I hate it. I hate this for him. And I hate it if this is what he's become.
Also, I was not about to be queerbaited by a shōnen manga. I've been around the block and I knew what to expect. But maybe even so I was too naïve, because what they did to bkdk's relationship goes beyond the ship, it fundamentally kills their bond.
How am I supposed to interpret Katsuki not only working for nearly a decade in order to get Izuku his suit, then waiting for Izuku to be a hero again and then WAITING AGAIN to invite Izuku to join his agency, rejecting all other prospects because it was always Izuku, always Deku, the one he wanted by his side as a partner -- and I'm supposed to be okay with Izuku never acknowledging this? Rejecting Katsuki's proposal without a thought? That is not Izuku. And it's a disservice to the friendship they spent 400+ chapters rebuilding, the rivalry I was shown from day one.
There were so many better ways to address their dynamic, even if there was a shift in it due to Izuku becoming a teacher or whatever. If Katsuki was to be rejected and disappointed in the end, you might as well have left him dead, for there was no purpose to his character after that without their rivalry. (by this I mean, you set up their dynamic to be a duality. One can't exist without the other. If you are going to change your mind, tell the audience! Show the audience! there was no buildup for this. is sloppy. is mediocre again.
anyways i obviously care about this. I wanna look away but i can't. I can't. I've spent years of my life loving these characters, learning from them, following their story. I thought they'd have a better send-off. I thought their creator understood the characters (he gave us every sign that he did).
I thought the ending would be consistent and good, like most of the story was, and it hurts to be proven wrong, especially when it's not only bad, but painfully, regrettably mediocre, which is the worst fate a beloved piece of media can get.
Ever wondered how Bakugo and Deku's original prototypes are literally a mix of what they look like right now?
Like Bakugo(Gogo) was supposed to have GREEN eyes and Izuku was supposed to have RED eyes. But not just that, their personalities were literally supposed to be the opposite too.
Originally, Deku would have been more introverted and more edgy, broody than he is right now, who didn't really smile much and was definitely not the optimistic, friendly and cute version that we know right now. Even his freaking personality was similar to how Bakugo is right now, even the way he puts his hands in his pockets
Meanwhile Bakugo was supposed to be the friendly, outgoing one who is too innocent for his own good, talks without thinking and doesn't realize he's accidentally hurting the people around him cause he's too socially clueless to pick up on other's emotions and social cues, while also having a secret "sadistic" side that comes out during battle.
So if we think about it, it's not that their original prototypes switched, it's that they literally merged.
Bakugo is still pretty bad at social cues and he is honest to the point of being an ass to others, except it's not cause he's cluelessly innocent, he just somehow ended up with Deku prototype's original design...aka grumpy looking boy who barely ever smiles and also hates social interaction. Plus the red eyes.
And Deku is the one that looks like a ball of sunshine now, who's innocently optimistic and overly friendly, but still having that edge of badassery that his prototype did. And he got Gogo's green eyes now.
On top of that, Bakugo's prototype was supposed to have the nickname Yamikumo for Deku that symbolized his personality(because he's always so reckless), just like how Deku now calls Bakugo Kacchan, which is also symbolic to his personality (many people have pointed out that it can also be translated to Victory-chan).
So, basically, Hori had this idea first to have all these characters and make Uraraka Deku's love interest and have Bakugo have his own character development arc. And then he decided to change things up and throw away the Uraraka being the love interest thing, and make Izuku and Bakugo's storyline tied together instead. And the fact that their current characters are literally a mix of their original prototypes just proves how much Horikoshi meant their characters being tied together.
Their current designs are a mix of their original designs, the current Deku is both the original Deku AND the original Bakugo, and the current Bakugo is both the original Gogo AND the original Deku. Isn't this what soulmates are?One wouldn't exist without the other, they say. Well, I'm pretty sure this redesign was intentional on Hori's part.
I was about to upload a review for chapter 431, of which there must be many by now, when I found this…
I know it's too long and only the postscript matters…
I think what the damn coolest cretin in history wanted to say with that postscript is that chapter 431 is technically not canonical since it's not part of the original story that for him was until 430, everything in 431 was left to the free will of its characters so they could do and undo whatever they wanted…
Let's say that Horikoshi the damn genius bastard did it and technically created 2 endings, one for each facto bitches!… we have the BKDK ending in 430 which I'll call canonical and the Izuocha ending in 431 which I'll call the alternative ending and everyone can decide which ending they want… see? Both would be canon endings if you want them that way, except that one is the official one and the other is separate, it's like if Horikoshi had to prepare a single cake for two people with different tastes, let's say vanilla and strawberry, then what does he do? A two-tier cake with one layer of one flavor for one and the other for the other person, so everyone eats their favorite flavor! A fucking genius who wanted to avoid the hate of ship wars!
For my part, I'm sticking with the canonical ending just because they held hands, and although we can't see it, to me, the way Katsuki offered it has all the weight placed on chivalry and romanticism…
and with that smile, Izuku obviously accepted.
As for the alternative ending, while it was seen that they held hands, I didn't see it as something romantic, we know that Izuku feels good holding hands like that (red flag, ladies and gentlemen, emotional codependent behavior)
besides it seemed to me like a kind of give me 5 or a way of saying "Hey, I'm here for whatever you need, 'little friend'",
so I took my advice.
Although in reality the only hands that I was interested in seeing were Izuku's AFO hands, instead of avoiding the ship wars, Horikoshi, should have explained to us why Izuku's hands shined like that...
and if he was AFO's son then why did he put it aside as an unsolved mystery and preferred the pairings! Where is my revelation of "Izuku… I am your father"? I just wanted him to confirm my Dad For One! (っ˘̩╭╮˘̩)っ
COME ON, NOT AGAIN!
Please, stop! No more!… you know what? I'm going to pass the canon through the armpits of a donkey because if not I'll end up writing a Bakudekuocha fanfic and although it's seriously something I'm thinking about I don't want to have to do it because I know I'll end up taking Ochako out of the equation, please we're talking about the girl who called Izuku a 'Plain-looking boy'
and Himiko the 'Cutest girl in the whole world' (┛ಸ_ಸ)┛彡┻━┻
I don't see anything 'Plain' about Izu-kun's appearance (ʃƪ^3^)
Stop talking about who the canon couple is, I'm not interested, for me the ending has already happened and although it wasn't very good, let's say I'm staying with Izuku holding Katsuki's hand and both walking together hand in hand towards the sunset
♡(> ਊ <)♡ that was the real ending! the rest is just to shut up the mouths and get rid of the bkdk haters and Izuocha-fans, that's all my opinion, KatsudonCat out, PEACE! (。•̀ᴗ-)✧
Damn! I already wanted to write that fanfic… should I? hehe (^~^;)ゞ
Oh? Please, Madam
What Izuku rejects is the opportunity to be Katsuki's SIDEKICK. He doesn't reject being a hero or competing with Katsuki. He rejects working FOR/UNDER Katsuki. Which is hilarious because Katsuki accepts (apparently multiple times) showing up as a guest lecturer to help out Izuku's class. Katsuki tells Izuku that "If everyone is special, no one is special," which has the potential for SO MUCH DOUBLE MEANING. But what there is no ambiguity about to me is he's basically telling Izuku "Hey, notice this. I'm treating you special. You're special to me. NOTICE."
It's also implied that Izuku sees Katsuki more regularly than he sees most others from their class, which is emphasized by the previous chapter when Aizawa complains to him about Katsuki's behavior in public affecting his ranking. Katsuki basically tells Izuku he needs to start thinking about himself more, and he also ends their final interaction with a "See ya [later]." Katsuki is NOT talking about Ochako, but Izuku takes some of his advice as the impetus for going to talk to Ochako (specifically they just wanna talk more after the dinner since the dinner is now over and they didn't get to talk). So what was Katsuki thinking of? I personally read his "See ya later" as "You'll figure it out, just go handle what you gotta right now and you can catch up to me later."
Hilariously, Izuku calls Katsuki out for being the one to say "If you don't start thinking a little more highly of yourself, you won't notice the things you should." Izuku's response is basically, "Look who's talking." Again, the potential for double meaning here is painfully obvious. He could be referring to SO MANY THINGS and we're meant to infer what that is. WE GET TO GUESS. Izuku could be saying "You did stuff just as bad as what you're saying," or "You're STILL not noticing something, Kacchan."
And Izuku taking inspiration from Katsuki's words to go talk to Ochako is meaningful in another way--IT MEANS IZUKU LISTENED TO HIM. Katsuki is having an influence on Izuku in a way to improve who he is just like Izuku did for him in high school. Izuku takes Katsuki's advice seriously. NO ONE HAS EVER GOTTEN HIM TO UNDERSTAND THIS LESSON BEFORE NOW. It ends with Izuku and Ochako deciding to talk more, but what it shows us is the beginning of Izuku considering himself more. If Izuku follows Katsuki's advice long enough, he'll end up back in the competition with Katsuki just like Katsuki expects him to. That is just as easy of a conclusion to make from the theme of "inevitability" that Shouto gives us (and that Izuku also takes to heart).
This ending implies that inevitably Izuku's gonna catch up again, basically. Things will continue to change. So yeah, we get a beginning where he and Ochako meet up to talk, but it's just a beginning. It's one night of chatting. They're seeing if something's there now (which kind of implies that there wasn't much there before), but it's left open-ended. And I think it's left open-ended what happens with Ochako on purpose because anyone can read how that ends up however they like. You just have to decide as a reader what's "inevitable" for Izuku Midoriya from this point on. Me? I've decided Izuku is taking Katsuki's advice to treat people who mean more to him better. Ochako is just the beginning. Izuku has other people in his life he needs to show love to as well (because that's what this is, Izuku is learning to show people that they're important to him, that he loves them, because saving people doesn't do that--he saves EVERYONE). And then maybe he'll start to see how the people who love him treat him special too, like guest SPECIAL (same kanji) LECTURER KATSUKI BAKUGOU.
tl;dr there is a lot left open to interpretation and it's probably on purpose, read the chapter however you like, just like we did with the last chapter.
...and my interpretation which is the correct one is that Katsuki tells Izuku, "Here let me show you how to love people, damnit!" to give him the character development everyone has been begging for him to have for years, to realize that saving people doesn't mean they're special to him if he's known for saving everyone ever, so like, maybe go show them you care in OTHER ways, Izuku, and also I'll be waiting right here for you to come show you love me you jackass (and he does, he does come show him that)
I don't know how to draw but I joined a page to make edits. The base images belong to their respective authors but the style and execution were my ideas (◍•ᴗ•◍)

So the moment Izuku start winning the poll, Jump decide to recount votes. Mmmm what a coincidence.
So when people voting for Bakugo as crazy as f$ck sure with bots involved. They are fine. But when Izuku got first place no no no.. I am sure 100% they already planned a winner and got a film for 1st place winner prepared. It was Bakugo, so when they see that Izuku got 1st place they take an action.
First AFO when they suddenly "lost" 2k votes.
Secondly, this shady stuff with Izuku and recount.
I start truly believe that Jump forbidded Horikoshi doing some things in manga plot and this is why epilogue and final chapter was written so horribly. Because Horikoshi was forced to rewrite all things. Maybe i am delulu.
But hearing how Jump behave with their mangakas and employees. These scandals with Dragon ball rights.
Guys, i am sorry for telling this. But Jump deserves all bad things happening right now... They lost 2 top mangas bringing millions and i am not even mentione Dragon ball... Call me whatever you want, but Jump deserves this all. And i hope bad things keep happening to them.
This poll is rigged. I start feeling that will not include answers in fanbook. All asks already written by Jump team. They just will give to Horikoshi! Jump are scammers.!!! No wonder epilogue was so bad written!!!
