random 4town headcanons:
tae young and robaire LOVE bubble tea and every friday at 5:30 pm after practice, they go out on what they call “bubble tea dates.”once aaron t said he wanted to try and went with them. he took one sip and choked on one of the bubbles, spitting it out onto robaires face. aaron t never joined them on their “dates” again, saying “i cant stand the feeling of balls in my mouth.” not that robaire or tae mind, they like when its just the two of them anyways.
the aarons are never really seen apart. aaron t follows aaron z everywhere. aaron z says that he doesn’t like it but wherever aaron t goes he’ll follow him as well. the two of them share everything. if z cant find anything he knows t took it. they’ll even drink from the same straw, which tae thinks is a showing of their strong friendship, jessie just thinks its gross.
tae young has a wall full of fanart and letters hes gotten over the years from fans. once the wall didn’t have anymore space, he put the rest in a special box he decorated with glitter and stickers.
jessie is about 19- early 20s. his kids were unexpected and kind of an accident. when the mother of his kids got pregnant with twins in their last year of high school, he didn’t abandon her. he made sure that both of them could raise those kids together. the mother of the kids and jessie are not in a relationship currently but they are very very close and consider each other best friends. they both love their kids and try their best to give them the happiest life possible.
aaron t definitely had a job as a pizza delivery boy before he joined the band. he actually loved that job with his whole heart and soul. he would constantly tell his mother that he wants to be a pizza delivery boy for the rest of his life and she told him he could be whatever he wanted, but in her head she honestly really hoped he’d be something else.
aaron z is the heaviest sleeper of the group, making him the most difficult to wake up. it’s usually a pain but, aaron t found a bright side to it. when aaron z works too hard he might pass out on the couch giving the boys the opportunity to draw and mark up his face. while robaire and aaron t draw stupid things all over his face, jessie takes out his paint set and paints pretty things on his arms and legs. tae brings over his nail set and paints z’s nails all different colors, humming quietly to himself while robaire and t giggle like idiots about the penis they drew on z’s forehead.
when aaron z finally wakes up he goes to the kitchen to find the boys looking at him and trying not to laugh. he groans and realizes what they did. “are you serious? again? really?” and the boys start to double over laughing as aaron rolls his eyes and walks to the bathroom to clean off his face and body. the only thing that he likes to keep its tae’s nail polish, even if all the bright colors don’t really match his style.
when aaron z screams from being frightened it sounds like an ambulance is driving by but got into an intense car crash so the siren is barely working.
robaire has an odd obsession with collecting socks. he has every kind of pair you can think off: pizza socks, cat socks, exclusive jessie 4town socks, wine socks, basically any kind of socks you can think of. he constantly tries to get the members into it but the only person who’s remotely into it is tae young.
tae young is the best at video games and beats his members at every video game imaginable.
once tae young told the stupidest joke and the only person that laughed was aaron z: tae: “whats the best time to go to the dentist!?” jessie: “dude please stop looking up ‘worlds funniest dad jokes’ theyre not fun-” tae: “tooth hurt-y!!!” aaron z: *hysterical laughing* arron t: (who’s been trying to make him laugh for weeks) *jumps up from his seat* “ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!? THATS WHAT MAKES YOU LAUGH-” aaron z: *keeps laughing as he holds on to robaire for support* “i-i cant BREATHEE”
now tae young tells his stupid dad jokes to aaron z to make him laugh, and it works every time, which the rest of the team just can’t understand.

the way i not only have nothing for baby but i also searched for babe and i have zero mention of that either. i’m devastated. what the hell have i been writing. as an apology to not only caswen fandom but to myself, i’m gonna write a snippet that’s connected to no fic at all lmao:
“Ow,” Ricky whines, jerking away from the antiseptic soaked cotton pad.
“If you keep squirming it’s just gonna take longer,” EJ tells him as he valiantly tries to hold Ricky’s chin steady to dab carefully at the cut on Ricky’s cheek.
Ricky huffs and re-settles himself on the edge of Ashlyn’s sink, rhythmically kicking his heel against the cabinet to the beat of the song he can hear playing from the party downstairs. Briefly, EJ presses a little too hard and it stings like hell so Ricky whines again, partly for the principle of the thing but mostly ‘cause he’s just a little bitch.
“Shh, baby,” EJ murmurs distractedly, and Ricky abruptly goes still.
It’s just a stupid pet name, it’s not a big deal, EJ probably wasn’t even thinking when he said it, but Ricky runs it on loop in his brain: baby, baby, baby.
When he and Nini had been together they’d laughed at pet names, thought they were cringey and lame; Ricky especially had thought he was above all that. Now he’s sitting in EJ’s bathroom, fixated on EJ calling him baby so casually and so easily that it’s making a flush creep up Ricky’s neck and his stomach flip over on itself.
EJ keeps cleaning the cut on his cheek, apparently absolutely unaware of Ricky’s current internal little freakout.
“You still with me, Bowen?” EJ says after a few moments, tapping one of his fingers against Ricky’s jaw. Ricky swallows, tries not to think about the press of EJ’s fingers, EJ’s thumb tilting his chin up like– like a prelude to something else. He can feel the flush rising into his cheeks.
“I’m swallowing my pain,” Ricky says, and it comes out a little shaky, a little low.
Ricky watches the corner of EJ’s mouth curl up. “So brave,” EJ coos mockingly.
Now that Ricky’s paying attention, he can feel the heat of EJ bleeding into his hoodie where he’s standing between – oh, god – Ricky’s spread legs. EJ suddenly pulls away, crouching down to dig through one of the under counter cabinets and Ricky takes the opportunity to suck in a shaky breath. Get it together, Bowen.
EJ pulls up to his full height again, this time with a bandaid. “Oh, I can–” Ricky starts, but EJ’s already leaning in again.
“I got you,” EJ murmurs, and his tone is so low, so gravelly, that Ricky’s stomach swoops again. EJ gently presses the bandaid to Ricky’s cut, smoothing down the edges.
And then he’s just standing there, between Ricky’s legs, cupping Ricky’s jaw.
“Thanks,” Ricky tells him. His voice sounds very small.
EJ studies him for moment and for one brief second Ricky swears EJ’s gaze drops to his mouth but then–
“Yo, are you done? Some of us have to pee,” Kourtney says through the door and Ricky fumbles back, EJ’s hand slipping from his face. EJ moves away to let Kourtney in, looking over his shoulder at Ricky like he’s about to say something but by the time Ricky slides off the sink EJ’s already gone.
Kourtney smirks at him. “What?” he asks, a little defensively. She reaches up to tap his cheek, just over the bandaid.
“Cute,” is all she says. He glances at himself in the mirror as he’s leaving and sees what she was talking about.
The bandaid’s covered in little hearts.

Hello, I love your blog! I was wondering if you had any information on clothing in harems? Such as if the colors they wear symbolize something, any restrictions/rules they must follow, how to tell who is who from what they wear, etc.? It could be for any harem in general, I’m really interested in hearing what you have to say 😊
I'm sorry to say I have very little knowledge of this subject. However, my impression is that women in harems wore very similar clothing to women NOT in harems! Higher-status women in harems (sultans' wives, sultans' female relatives, etc) wore higher-status clothes, and lower-status women (female servants and slaves) wore lower-status clothes. Harems also included men: eunuchs and male children under 12. So your best bet would be to research Ottoman clothing from whatever era you're talking about, since the harem was an institution that lasted for centuries and clothing styles change over time.
One big warning about this topic: there is a LOT of misinformation out there. Westerners have been romanticizing the idea of "the harem" for CENTURIES, so there are a lot of bad takes out there from "all the women sat around naked much the time! all the women in the harem were there to have sex with the sultan!" to "the harem was an institution specifically designed to oppress women! it is a symbol of the decadent and wicked east!"

Reading fanfiction is the worst because you start out with “I’ll just read this cute one shot” then suddenly it’s four am and you have 12 tabs open and you’re crying again because THEY DESERVE TO BE HAPPY WHY CANT THEY JUST BE HAPPY
My brother was diagnosed with depression years before I was, and because of that he started therapy years before I did.
I still remember when I was a young teen and he was playing a Nirvana song and he stopped it at this one line: “I miss the comfort of being sad”
He told me that when you start to get better, there’s a part of you that misses being sad and that if you start feeling that way you have to be extra extra aware and careful because if you indulge the feeling you’ll go down a self-destructive spiral
And even though that was years and years ago, I think about it all the time. Especially when I’m reading discourse on the idea of getting so attached to mental illness as an identity that you don’t want to improve things because you feel safe in it and don’t know who you are without it
I always think of that line “I miss the comfort of being sad” and my brother’s warning

- TJ stands in front Cyrus and holds his hands “I love you so much.” He says. “I guess you could say that you…can’t stop the feeling” Cyrus says smirking up at TJ. TJ drops Cyrus hands and walks away from Cyrus who can’t stop laughing
- the boys and girls basketball team have practice together and Buffy decides to play music and makes a playlist entirely of Justin Timberlake songs
