A/N. ! i’m back with another drabble already ahhsjjs idk how some of y’all upload sm so consistently sjsjsj but yes anyways enjoy this y’all, it was a rlly fun one to write <3

under the chilliness of the wet air, and enjoying the quietness of the empty park, sunghoon stood, waiting for you with an umbrella in hand as he held it over his body to keep himself dry.

and suddenly, he felt a heavy knock to his side.

“hi,” you said innocently with a wide and playful smile on your lips. “have you been waiting for a long time?”

he just looked at you, admiring you with love in his eyes and a small smile on his lips before he used them to capture your own.

not expecting the sudden loving contact, your shoulders tensed up for a moment and your eyes widened just slightly before relaxing under his touch.

he was missing you so much and it was driving him crazy, and so with your lips finally on his, he put his occupied arm down, lowering the umbrella and dropping it on the ground before he wrapped his hand around your waist, pulling you into him.

raindrops hit the top of your heads and your arms, wetting your skin, but neither of you gave a care to the world; you just enjoyed the moment. society may find this kind of scene cliché or cheesy, but you two cherished the moment—basked in it—only pulling each other closer.

it was only after a few moments that the cold snapped sunghoon back to reality, removing him from euphoria with you as soon as he pulled away a few inches.

his eyes were still on your lips, and you stared at him confused, wondering why he pulled back.

“we should go,” he whispered.

“why?” you responded softly, staring at his lips too.

he pressed his forehead onto yours, replying, “as much as i love this romantic atmosphere, it’s cold out here, and i don’t want you getting sick.”

your eyes crinkled as a smile reached your lips, and you complied with a single nod.

sunghoon then knelt down slightly, picking up the umbrella before holding it over you both (but mostly over you if anything).

you wrapped your arm around his, sharing warmth with one another after now understanding what he meant when he mentioned the cold.

and with that, you two began walking, with each step, returning closer to the bustling city where you two resided.

excitement grew within sunghoon’s chest, as he couldn’t wait to get you home and get right back to where you two left off.

Blasting music, dancing bodies, and drunken people passed out. This was a party everyone who hadn't been to one would want to be at. For most parties seemed to be a rare occasion for most of them. But there was you.

The life of the party. You always seemed to be in the middle of it all. Your tight curls bounced with each step as you danced. Your grip tight on the cup you have seemingly been nursing the entire time. Your skin glowing under the purple and pink strobe lights.

Though the prettiest feature about it would have to be your smile. It could probably light up the room if the lights weren't. Your smile got others' attention but no one truly knew it was for him.

The smile and wink you sent him sent red hot blush to appear on his face. His eyes focused on you as you danced and laughed with the people surrounding you. Everyone loved the bright energy radiating off of you. Sure you were the life and soul of the party but your eyes always stayed on him.

Him feeling comfortable staying in the same spot he has been since you guys arrived. The corner of the room is surrounded by tipsy people chatting to each other or making out. The dark liquid in the cup he has been nursing for the longest has gone warm.

He didn't care for it much anyway. For Jake being at a party was like a solar eclipse happening. It just didn't happen often. For him, parties just weren't his thing but in your case they were.

This is why some people thought you guys were cute together. You could bring him out of his shell easily and make him have a good time while he was the more lenient of you. Though there were some negative sides to it. Especially from his friends. His friends weren't easily amused by you so to say. They didn't like how carefree you were like you didn't have a college to worry about.

They didn't want that to affect Jake or how he is academic. You knew what they were trying to say they just didn't want him to be taken away from them even though that's not what you were trying to do.

Never have you questioned your relationship even as others did. Why did they question it when they could see how happy you both were? At times it felt like you were dating more than one person, especially with everyone's input which you didn't ask for. There was nothing in the world that could compare to being in a relationship with a kind, smart, and loveable person like Jake.

But no one cared if you two were happy and showing it to the world because they would always question it. Why couldn't they worry about themselves.

You never could understand why people judged your relationship from the outside looking in. Like they knew how your relationship operated. You wanted to say fuck all of them. Who were they to tell Jake who he could love and not love? Why did they even think to question if you loved him or not?

Of course, you loved Jake and have for the past 2 years. You didn't have to explain anything to anyone who wasn't willing to listen. Neither should he. mornings with sunghoon are really calm and soft. you both wake up at the same time and usually stay in bed talking or cuddling for a while. you stretch yourself as you try to wake yourself up, you look to your side and see the clock marking 9:40 am. you look you your side and see sunghoon already looking at you making you smile at him and he does the same. you roll on top of him and make yourself comfortable in his chest. "good morning, hoon." you say looking up at him and leaving a peck on his lips. "good morning princess." he returns, running his hands on your hair, pulling you into another kiss. before the kiss got deeper you pulled out, making him chase your lips as you giggle at him. "let's get up and have breakfast or do you want to out for brunch?" you ask him, while caressing his hair. "brunch sounds nice today." you left on last peck on his lips and you both got up to get ready.

waking up with sunoo is one of the best things for you. usually he his the first one to wake and then he wakes you up with kisses all over your face. he giggles when he sees your eyes fluttering and you turn your head to the side, trying to dodge his kisses. a small smile forms into the corners of his lips as he watches you lying down on one side of the bed.

how could he afford to hate such nights when he gets to come home and see you like this?

hair splayed, eyes shut and breath steady—you look so calm, so peaceful. in his eyes, you are pretty no matter what time of the day, but it’s at moments like this that makes him think this is the prettiest you’ve ever been.

though there’s only one thing that ticks him off.

a pillow.

that damn pillow you always snuggle with so close in your sleep.

he doesn't like the way you’re holding on to it tightly as if you are afraid to let go. after all, that should be him. he should be the one you get to wrap your arms around on.

slow and gentle, heeseung removes the pillow from between your arms and places it on the other side of the bed in order to not wake you. but all his efforts collapse like a house of cards when your eyes slowly open and stare right into him.

"hee? is that you?” you ask in a hushed voice.

“of course, it’s me.” he assures you with a grin. “did i wake you up?”

“no, you didn't. it’s just… why did you move the pillow away?”

heeseung’s hand finds itself on the crown of your head and pats it with all the tenderness on his fingertips. “so i could sleep next to you, love.”

you groan, “there’s so much space on the other side. sleep there instead. i’m too lazy to move.”

"but i want to cuddle with you right now.” he pouts, but then a soft laugh from you swirls across the silent air.

“are you perhaps jealous of a pillow?”

heeseung could only widen his eyes as his cheeks are burning up like fire at your words. him? jealous of something that doesn't even move? it’s absurd, though the rapid beatings of his heart say otherwise.

“seriously? a pillow, hee?”

“you hug it every night! how could i not be jealous?” he scoffs. at this point, he’s aware that he seems childish, but he can't help it when he’s with you.

“you know i can't sleep unless i have something to hug,” you chuckle.

“then hug me instead.”

“gladly.”

when you open your arms wide, heeseung dives in almost immediately as if he was being welcomed by the ocean at his presence, the waves closing in on him and pulling him into the depths of your embrace. the scent of your cologne fills his senses when he buries his face into the crook of your neck, and when he finally closes his eyes, it feels like he’s suspended under the waters—untied from all the tension as his exhaustion could only dissipate into bubbles.

it’s a power, really, one where a hug from you seems to make his worries disappear in a blink of an eye and one where it makes a certain warmth bloom in his chest.

all because of you.

“tired?” you ask as you look down at him and stroke his cheek with the palm of your hand, tracing over every detail on his skin like forming constellations in the sky. he is so delicate, so fragile under your touch.

“mhm,” he takes in a deep breath before muttering under his breath, “so much.”

no matter how many times heeseung comes home looking like he lost the world, it’s impossible to get used to the way he tugs at your heart every time. just the sight of him alone makes your chest tighten and tears threaten to spill, almost as if you can feel his pain.

if only you could, because by then, would he feel better? would feeling his pain assure him that he wasn't alone? that you would be his constant even when time wasn't? that all things would pass but you would always stay?

because you’d do anything, even if it meant trading in the stars just to know that he’s alright.

“go to sleep,” you pull him closer and he shuffles lazily towards you. when his breathing slows and steadies, you wish for time to still.

and now, with heeseung in your arms instead, you’re finally able to fall asleep.

no matter how many pillows the world could offer or no matter how soft they could be, nothing could ever compare to the solace heeseung brings.

“HI PRETTY,” Sunghoon grins, his muscles tightening to avoid collapsing on you.

“Hi baby.” You reply with a small giggle, lying underneath him with his hands and arms parallel to your face. He lets out a breath, pushing himself up as he keeps his eyes on your pretty face. 

“Can't focus when you're under me like this, angel.” He says, but he doesn't ask you to move. He's enjoying this a little too much. 

“You aren't complaining, though.” You giggle, cupping his cheeks with a grin plastered across your face. He hums in response, giving your lips a small peck as he lowers himself closer to your body. 

Up, down, kiss. 

“Such a tease…” He whispers under his breath, doing a few more pushups and brushing his lips on yours before lowering himself completely—lips colliding messily, muffling your giggles. 

Your hands run down his chest as he kisses you, feeling his abs that he'd been working on. He chuckles, breaking the kiss. 

“You like them?” He says, taunting you. You nod eagerly in response, “I do, very much..” 

“Good. Been working on them just for you.” He replies, crashing his lips onto yours once more.
