Sokka and Katara Headcanon

So, I can't remember if it ever mentions this in Avatar: The Last Airbender because I haven't watched it in years, despite having been able to.

But, anyway, here we go!

So while Sokka and Katara can speak English, they can also speak the language of their tribe which is their first language. When they are talking late at night or sometimes when they're walking around, they slip back into the language and just talk, whether it's about their next mission, some juicy gossip they heard, their feelings, it doesn't matter. Just the familiarity of it makes any conversation that much better. It was almost a way to make it seem like they were home.

One night when they were doing this, the rest of the Gaang woke up hearing it and thought they were under attack. But when they found that their foes were in fact their friends, they lowered their weapons and sat down to listen in secret, despite not being able to understand it. Just hearing the foreign language and seeing the two of them talking like this was beautiful in a way to them. So beautiful, in fact, they all agreed to not say anything in fear it would scare the pair into not doing it anymore.

Bonus: 

When they do something illegal in a place where they’re not recognized and all else fails, they fall back on Plan E and pretend they don’t know English at all or only one of them (typically Katara) can understand a little bit of it.

I actually love the idea of Wakko not being able to count properly Idk why

InoTan Headcanon

I feel like Tanjiro would confide in Nezuko about his crush on Inosuke and he would speak very passionately and excitedly about him with Nezuko nodding along, just happy that Tanjiro is in such a good mood even if he is talking her ear off CONSTANTLY. Like, any time they separate from Inosuke and Zenitsu for like two minutes, he feels the need to go on rants about Inosuke’s pretty face, his sense of humour, how nice his muscles are, his usefulness and loyalty to the team, literally anything he can think of in his ultra gay mind just as long as Inosuke can’t hear. And if her brother wasn’t such a good bean who deserved the world and so much more, Nezuko would have shut him up ages ago.

Meanwhile, since Inosuke figures that Tanjiro shouldn’t understand his feelings for him before he knew himself what they were, he confides in (an unwilling) Zenitsu who he just assumes is really smart since he knows so much, having not grown up in the mountains like the rest of the group. I feel like their conversations would be something like

Inosuke: I think Monjiro might be trying to kill me! Every time I see him my heart beats really fast and I feel sick! And he keeps sneaking into my mind which is really pissing me off because it makes me feel all giddy and like I need to be around him to be happy. I also want to protect him from all harm for some reason, even though he can fight! But the worst part is that he looks really good and is very distracting, especially when he smiles!

Inosuke: I think he’s a witch! There’s no other way he could mess me up like this! What do you think?? 

Zenitsu: He’s not a witch, you just have romantic feelings for him, dumbass. It’s a natural thing that most everyone goes through and doesn’t result in death! I can help you with dealing with it or whatever, if you want.

Inosuke: Yeah!

Zenitsu: Okay, great. Now GET OUT OF HERE SO I CAN FINISH TAKING THIS SHIT IN PEACE!

Pidge: Keith, if you could kill anyone on the ship without getting in shit for it, who would it be?

Keith, instantly: Lance.

Lance: Why me!? I thought we were friends!

Keith: That's exactly why I'd kill you. You haven't changed that and I'm getting real sick of it.

Present Mic Headcanon

Whenever Present Mic is seen using a microphone of any sort, the mic is never turned on. It’s just him being his usual loud self. He only holds a mic to make himself feel more like a radio host/MC, despite it never being used. If he did use it, everyone would probably go deaf within minutes.

One time, without realizing it, his finger pressed the ‘on’ button on the microphone during an assembly and now everyone is still recovering from the earaches and migraines. He felt soooooo bad once he realized what happened and with the help from his tired and angry bf, he gained back his privilege to hold it as long as he properly checks where his fingers are going.

I feel like something similar to this has happened

Uneducated reporter: So, why would they let you be in charge of a school full of future heroes?

Nezu: Well, I believe it’s because of my abilities, cooperativeness, and my aspiration to help the younger generation become better heroes than us.

Uneducated reporter: Okay, but what makes you qualified for this job? I mean, you seem nice but it takes more than a polite rodent to handle this kind of responsibility.

Nezu, resisting the urge to step forward because even though he’s hurt, he knows that it would result in the reporter stepping back and tripping on a rock that would cause him to fall into oncoming traffic, which is basically murder: I hAvE aN eDuCaTiOn.
