Y’know how sometimes in movies, characters who are about to get a medical procedure done without pain meds will drink alcohol to numb the pain?

Thinking about Tony getting gravely hurt (i’m thinking shot maybe) in a situation where they can’t take him to a professional. And someone is going to have to set a bone/dig bullets out/put in stitches on him without any pain meds. so they offer him alcohol.

but he’s sober. he knows he HAS to be sober. he can’t slip. He refuses the drink and just lets the pain happen.

“drinking that will hurt far worse than what you’re about to do”
