The Kirby side-material is a fucking treasure trove of headcanon fuel and the fact that they’re not that well known wounds me because they’re unironically very good. Here’s some of my favorite pieces of info that are canon to at least one of the mangas / novels / extras:

- Meta Knight is a super reckless leadfoot of a driver (Novels)

- Zan can make temporary clones of herself with lightning flashes (Puzzle Planet)

- The Kirby universe has some type of intergalactic criminal justice system and will arrest people (Novels)

- The mages are likely some type of Christian and Zan has crucified someone twice (Manmaru Nikki)

- Haltmann loves puzzles and tries to use them to solve other people’s problems for them (puzzle planet)

- You can reach hell if you dig a deep enough hole (Novels)

- Hyness sleeps with his eyes open (Manmaru Nikki)

- Fatty Puffer is a Xenophobe (novels)

- Meta Knight is a major interstellar celebrity and his mere presence on a tv show causes record breaking watch numbers (novels)

- The waddle dees are all clones of Bandee (novels)

-Gooey likes to chill in Kirby’s mouth (dedede de Pupupu)

- Bandee is good at doing makeup (novels)

-Coo is a heart throb and the most eligible bachelor in Dream Land (Dedede de Pupupu)

- Meta knight has fangs! (4koma Gag battle)

- Depending on what you’re reading, Bandee’s bandana is either a gift from Kirby (novels) or Meta Knight (pupupu hero)

- Kirby can only use super abilities for a limited time because theyre stressful and possibly corrupting on Kirby’s body (novels)

- Queen Ripple adopts the three dark matter from the 64 opening cutscene and has them hang out with her and help with chores (4koma Gag battle)

- The copy ability weapons are the physical manifestations of the helpers they came from! If you break a Beam Wand you break the waddle doo (4koma)

- Meta knight is a weeb for Halcandra, whose society spread out their knowledge and culture by wandering around the Galaxy and sharing stories (novels)

- Baby sphere doomers and a halcandran artifact black market exist (novels)

-Galacta Knight is canonically extremely beautiful and got an incredibly historically inaccurate film made about him that had a forced romance in it. (Novels)

Came across a strange man in my travels, tall, dark and brooding, he doesn’t seem all that friendly and tells me it’s best to keep my distance, but I find the mystery behind him very intriguing. 🍪✨
