ok I thought of phobos's last boss fight and I know his whole body was transparent so I want to try tweaking the design by making his body looks transparent but not including his clothes. I heavily use Líf (character from fire emblem heroes game) as a reference. I just think it's really cool

I came across the yautja raised by humans trope and I can’t stop thinking about it? Like yautja reader being raised on a ranch and now (~60 years later) takes care of the animals around their land before coming across another adult yautja on the hunt. Just bump into each other in the middle of the night and stare at each other in silence. You, wearing chaps and a wild rag, while he’s fully decked out in armor and weapons. VERY different first thoughts on each other.

Eris: They help because I am family to them. I am their friend, and I have shown to be quick to help them.

apparently, this dialogue is the winnower itself speaking to our guardian. i have rarely seen people talk about this, and i think it’s very interesting.

the differences between the witness and the winnower here, as well as how it addresses us in such a familiar manner, are especially interesting in my opinion.

YEAH LIKE. ERAMIS IS JUST ONE ELIKSNI. SHE'S NOT EVEN ARMED WITH ANYTHING OTHER THAN STASIS. If she ever so much as sneezed wrong (do Eliksni sneeze?...Something to ponder for later) she could get vaporized by a guardian in seconds. And when you factor in the knowledge that we're in a city chock full of guardians, that makes the idea of her acting out even more ridiculous. Eramis is impulsive and prone to making a lot of terrible decisions, but she isn't stupid. And even if she escaped the City and got to a Salvation ketch, she can't retaliate without damning the rest of her people to death or worse. She's already fucked them over enough, she's not going to risk them now.

There's also the fact that the Young Wolf has now canonically been exposed to Eliksni culture for enough years to know how their honour system works, and has encountered Eramis enough times to know that she's one of the strict adherents to it. By freeing her, we indebted her to us- that's why she gave us the bow and the acknowledgement that she's at our mercy (which was just as deep of a bow as what Misraaks gave to us in greeting, btw). Eramis cannot act our against us because that would violate our honour-tie. She's at least got to work that off first before she can try to go back to being enemies with us, and we already know that she's sick of the violence from the audio logs she left us in Seraph.

I'm curious--how do you guys go about creating your OCs?

Idk if you’ve done this already, but since we have the cabal trained titan s/o and a hive trained warlock s/o, could you do an non-house light eliksni trained hunter with o14?

You'd trained with a small crew that had previously been part of a lost Eliksni house. Dissidents who lived from raid to hunt.

Life had always been about survival and never about stability. You didn't have stability until you came to the Tower when you lost your crew during a massive raid.

Osiris had been one of the ones to extend a kind hand - if only to understand more about the enemy. We're talking pre-Saint-gets-trapped-in-the-vex-forest

While your fighting style was unique and unexpected, it allowed you to gain the upper hand during Cruicible, and made you great for eliksni-centered missions as you knew their tactics.

You'd grown quiet close with the two of them (Osiris & Saint-14), but you struggled with stability rather than survival.

Frequently you'd hoard food in fear you would run out, or binge eat when you got particularly scared.

Money saving was also a struggle as you used to live with constant fear you could die or be robbed at any given money.

Your ghost is just as damaged, speaking on Eliksni and Ghost, and unable to connect to Tower comm-channels at first. It was also extremely afraid of other ghosts because other ghosts meant death in the Dark Ages.

Your armour continued to reflect Eliksni culture; a large fluffy collar, a cape that had your dissent crew's symbol on, and countless layers to keep warm.

Saint-14 struggled to grasp how Eliksni had been kind and trained you, but slowly, he found friendship and strange solidarity as it had been an Eliksni raiding party that had killed your crew.

Although he started off purely for knowledge, Osiris began to develop a friendship with you, that later blossomed into romance.

When both of them found out you'd been living in your ship, too afraid to get a home in the city due to how you'd lost your crew, they'd offered you the guest bedroom of their house.

This slowly turned into you sleeping with them as the friendship turned to romance, and you confided in Osiris that sleeping in a group helps reduce your night terrors.

When House of Light (years later) came to the Last City, you were able to help them set up and rebuild their House.
