*SLAMS OPEN DOOR* IT’S THEORY TIME!

Okay okay okay, I may have just thought of this 20 minutes ago but it not only ties into the canonical life system but actually might have a chance at being real.

Not everyone has 3 lives.

Now you may be thinking, “yes B we have established that beforehand. Just look at Philza Minecraft.” And to that I say correct but, Philza was already explained. I’m talking about the others who may not have had 3 lives from the very start. Example Ranboo who just recently was revealed to have 1 life only, or Slime who may not even be alive at all but I’ll explain his situation later, right now I want to get other opinions on everyone else. Let’s think about the 3 lives system and how it works. From our knowledge “everyone starts off with 3 lives.” But that isn’t the case at all. What we should be saying is “every starts off with 3 lives unless, they are a mob.” Let me explain further.

Starting with Philza because he is the easiest. Philza only has one life due to his hardcore series but, I give the headcanon option that Philza has one life because he is not a full human. Looking at his description he’s actually a winged human as in part bird or something else. I theorize that Philza due to this non-human status does not get the full 3 lives because just like those Minecraft birds, he only has 1 to lose before he’s dead permanently.

Can you see where I’m getting? No? Okay next person.

Ranboo works for this I guess. Now Ranboo only had one life which was pretty odd as we haven’t seen or realized he canonically died before. Because he hasn’t. Ranboo is an Enderman combined with something else which we pretty much speculate is also a mob, but Enderman also don’t have 3 lives, just one. By this logic if Ranboo really is just some mob hybrid, what gives him more lives? Obviously in Minecraft players get retries, they get more lives. Mobs do not, regardless on if they are passive or hostile except for ones that can be revived like the dragon. The players in this situation are human or at least part human and they mostly get 3 lives. Ranboo is not human. At all. Ranboo is a mob. Ranboo does not qualify for the 3 life option. It makes sense in that case on why he wouldn’t have more than one. He never had 3 to begin with.

Now do you see where I’m heading? Let me tell you more on why he’s not the only one.

Slimecicle was… a slime get it? Now slime isn’t exactly dead but he’s also in what seems like a coma. Knowingly he has died but what does that mean? He is a mob and that is exactly what could prove this theory incorrect however that itself is also wrong. Charlie is a slime. Slimes don’t just die after you kill them. They split. So what if slimecicle isn’t actually dead? Just split. The lava seemed to have merged with him but that doesn’t mean he had just lost his only mob canon life, he just split into a smaller piece of himself being the same size due to the lava intake. Or he really is just dead and that body is the only thing remaining.

I would keep going but as Charlie hasn’t woken up I can’t say for sure. So let me give you some possibilities for this theory.

Wilbur. Now Wilbur was a human and we know this, he got the full 3 lives and seemingly had no extra mob bits but what about his son? Now because Fundy has only canonically died once to my knowledge I can’t test this but what if his count was also off? Say only 2 lives instead of 3. Now I still don’t know but what he did since fundy isn’t human nor is he just a fox, he’s some mix in between. While he could qualify for the 3 lives we’re just not sure yet on if this is true. This would also work for any of the other hybrids like Techno and Antfrost because of their similar mostly mob look however they are part anthropomorphic and could be counted with the 2 life people. This doesn’t work for characters like Tubbo because he has been shown to be more human than mob and has already been shown to have 3 lives. So what about Foolish you ask? He might also be with the 2 lifers as he’s a totem/shark, which by Minecraft standards not only gives him one life but a retry as a part totem. Now he’s already shown to be killed once but that doesn’t mean he’s just gone. Totems give a retry. Totems give you that extra life. So by this requirement it makes sense that he would have more than one. He, just like Philza, have been said to be very old and that might be another part of it but as I just thought of this 20 minutes ago there really isn’t a way to prove it.

So here’s my question for you.

How do you think the 3 life system works? Is there other reasons for it to operate like this or is everything just working on a 3 life schedule with backstory exceptions?
