In case you missed it, here’s a #TutorialTuesday someone requested on Twitter to go with last week’s process video on how to create a perspective grid from a photo (from Tomomi Sato) which you can use for studies, drawings, paintings, etc. Hope this helps with drawing/painting in perspective!!
I love how almost every single major character in The Magnus Protocol is giving off death flags.
Sam? He's looking into things he shouldn't be while refusing to believe Gwen and Alice. That's gonna bite him in the ass eventually.
Alice? Until recently, she's been covering her eyes and hoping everything will be fine. Hopefully, it isn't too late for her.
Gwen? She's too proud to let go of a job that has almost killed her. She can't keep getting lucky.
Celia? She knows too much. That fact alone puts a target on her back.
Colin? Haven't heard from him in a while. There is literally someone on this website counting how many episodes he's survived.
Freaking Teddy? The guy who left the hell hole that is the Office of Incident Assessment and Response in episode one? He keeps coming around the office because he mysteriously can not find a job since the one waiting for him after OIAR fired him almost immediately.
Everyone besides Lena feels like their one wrong move from dying.
Again, I ask dear agents of The Fears...
WHAT IN THE HILLTOP IS HAPPENING IN THE MAGNUS PROTOCOL
I'm relistening to Archives while Protocol is going. Keeping myself aware, keeping myself informed, remembering details and thinking about things in Archives later seasons and putting it with the early seasons. SO TELL ME FUCKIN WHY IN ARCHIVES EPISODE 19 THEY'RE ALREADY FORESHADOWING THE RULES OF PROTOCOL!
So remember, Episode 19 is about the priest who goes to Hilltop, then 20 is more about him and what he did. He investigated Hilltop because a lady said she was possessed and hallucinating and her body was straight up not acting how she wanted it to act until she died. Then Mr Priestman starts having problems, feeling things, hallucinating things, and eventually in 20 he's found cannibalizing some people. Remember these details please because:
Mentis, mind. Written in latin upon Hilltop road. The same place which possesses the Crack in everything.
Now for Protocol:
Mercury and Sulfer are parts of the Tria Prima. Sulfur represents the soul and mercury the mind.
Mentis, latin for Mind, in Hilltop, where The Crack is.
Sulfur representing the soul, isn't it so strange that a Priest is there to save a girl's eternal soul from a demonic possession. A Priest who's soul is also now corrupt and unclean because of cannibalism.
Damn if only there was some sort of tie into cannibalism and demons in Protocol
Oh wait
The latest fucking episode. Episode 24 of The Magnus Protocol.
Cannibalism, Demonic Children, Altered Reality, just like 19 and 20 with Demonic Possession, Hallucinations that don't line up with reality as if the people are shifting back and forth between the two dimensions, and of course, cannibalism.
These motherfuckers wrote such a tightly wrapped story, it's so fucking beautiful and I cannot handle the connections and parallels and glory of it all
Thank you for coming to my ted talk
So. I spent more than a week on drawing this. I am really proud of being able to draw this. It's kinda sad that tumblr works like... it doesn't work. And nobody would see it without reblogs. and i will not understand again, why i am such a bad artist and what i did wrong again.
I like the feeling of a fairy tale i was trying to depict.
i am sorry
Unlike some people, I think you can listen to Protocol first since there haven't been any real spoilers, but I'd suggest listening to TMA eventually anyways. It's a very different listening experience, especially at the start. Much more slower paced.
[I have not heard Archives. No spoilers please. Everything from Archives I do know is vague random spoilers and nothing directly specific.]
I wanna mention here that I have no idea who these new names are for this week’s episode, and I’m excited about not knowing. I’m kinda glad Jon and Martin aren’t our main connecting point to the Magnus Institute cause I have some vague spoilers about that.
I think their deaths are very likely a coverup by The Magnus Institute, because they died 20 years ago at around the same time as the Institute burning down. (Likely The Institute stuck them in FR3-D1 with Jonah or whoever)
I definitely think that no matter what happens with Celia/Sam following the Institute, Alice cannot knowingly ignore the plot any longer considering the tape recorder is what made her and Gwen unite.
Brace yourself, [Error!]. These women are about to crush you and die tragically at your hand.
i can’t believe i haven’t posted my own twink cipher design yet
