Back at it with my bullshit (writing self-insert smut)
"come take a nap with me" is absolutely the best pick-up line. DK you're doing wonderfully keep it up :)
This is so stupid. X'D
I can't get the voice idea he sounds like Bowser from the mario movie.
They both play piano too it's awful. 😭
the universe arcana + husband and akechi bitchass
I finally got around to making some stickers for my laptop! I don't have a sticker maker or anything I just did the whole sandwich between two layers of tape thing but I think it still looks good and I love it.
Here's what they look like printed out and stuck on my laptop... Ish. I'm not a photographer, so they look a bit more washed out than they do in real life. Only a bit, because printers b like that.
Obligatory y'all are more than free to print these out for your own stickers if you want, just don't like.. sell them or claim you drew them.
Reading this and then reading the comments and reblogs feels like people are deliberately missing the point and continuing to describe the places where shuake's 'toxicity' is on display. Mainly, the interrogation room. Y'all, y'all, they're enemies in the interrogation room. Akechi has no choice but to kill Joker in the interrogation room, because Shido wants Joker dead. The interrogation room and all the lying and manipulating each other outside of it all happen because they are doomed. They're both pawns in a twisted game, manipulated against each other to suit their respective roles. We never technically see them in canon outside of some sort of doomed context (even in third sem) but they still manage to make each other better even when they're doomed. Akechi gives up his revenge plans for Joker, and Joker lets go of an 'ideal' reality with Akechi to respect Akechi's wishes. They both improve after meeting one another, it's definitely not toxic.
common misconception is that shuake is toxic: WRONG. they are doomed. it is not them that fucks up their relationship; in fact, they actually are shown to improve each other rather than detriment. its their circumstances that fuck them up so so bad. literal god pit them against each other. they love each other but the world does not love them
Y'all my brother snatched my phone out of my hand earlier during the SINGLE, SOLITARY TIME I was writing a Ryomina kiss- not even anything spicy, just a kiss, and he was like "nope" and gave me my phone back. I was both mortified and annoyed because he said Ryoji's name was a typo because apparently he doesn't know anything about persona 3. I made this to cope.
Y'all it was literally the first time I ever wrote two characters just kissing, how was that when he decided to read my work for the first time????
Ehhhhh neither? Dark is one of those characters that I think will remain an antagonist, in the sense of making the MC's life harder and presenting obstacles, but sorta be absorbed into the team by the fact that he's not malicious, kinda has to do his job, and is clearly conscious. Plus definitely never leaving Vaati's side and Vaati is almost definitely never joining the heroes. Maybe leaving them alone, as a sorta truce, but not gonna be a do-gooder hero. Dark is right there with em, at best leaving them alone/somehow accidentally becoming the therapist but like a really shitty one? I dunno though it's not my story
Back with the FS polls Oh boy.
It dawns on me I've never fully asked this question and I'm so damn curious what the general consensus is for where Dark's character is going.
I've for sure said things to mess this up being completely blind but oh well.
Oh my lord what is up with Ken Amada's dialogue in Tartarus boy I know you're a child but no one speaks like that all the time it's so weird. Amada, are you planning to murder everyone? Lull us into a false sense of security and stab us in our sleep? Because you're doing a really bad job, I feel the furthest thing from secure.
On the upside, he's a really good party member like, Light *and* elec coverage? Combined with Koromaru's Dark and fire I feel like P3 is spoiling me. Slap Yukari in there with my beloved Black Frost and I feel like I could murder the crap out of anything. Throw in my Clotho to buff/debuff the shit out of everything and an ever-changing physical attacker (presently Dakini) and we're decimating.
I know Ren is the player character and somewhat kinda a self insert but I will never understand fanfictions that make him hate people he clearly obviously canonically does not hate and, in fact, absolutely adores. The two biggest offenders for this are Morgana and Akechi.
Morgana and Ren are absolutely inseparable, Ren couldn't do anything when Morgana wasn't there. Ren takes care of Morgana, lets him sleep in his bed, comforts him when he has nightmares. They're brothers, your honor. If Morgana were human his last name would, in fact, be Amamiya before he inevitably gets folded into the Sakura family with Ren.
Akechi was literally Ren's greatest wish, like yeah sure you could interpret that platonically somehow, I don't know exactly how you would do it, but Ren does NOT hate Akechi. He wants Akechi to have a shot at life, he doesn't want to forget him. They are in some very complicated vaguely homoerotic rivalry and both are absolutely giving their all to it.
Headcanon time! Here is:
What would happen if a different link were split by the four sword?
I posit: the colors/elements are assigned to different traits based on what each color/element is associated with. Ex: Four sees fire as warm and comforting, so his red link, associated with fire, is a warm and comforting individual. I shall also give them all names. We're starting with Skyward Sword Link, aka Sky here!
Red Sky: Magma. Having grown up in Skyloft Sky never had much experience with fire, so it's very much a new surface thing that's incredibly dangerous. Magma is a very curious type, that doesn't really know their own strength. Taking all of Sky's wonder at this brand new world, plus his pretty great strength, and putting it into this bass of energy.
Green Sky: Twister. Sky, despite living in the air, really doesn't have a good experience with active winds. A twister just up and launched his gf onto the surface man, and they're a hazard when flying on his own loftwing. As such, Twister is harsh, violent. All of Sky's rage, plus some really good swordfighting skills.
Blue Sky: River. Water's actually a pretty nice constant in Sky's life, though Faron didn't do a good job keeping that image. River is a calm, soothing type. Maybe a little overbearing, surrounding the others on all sides and making them feel claustrophobic. Sky's mother hen tendencies condensed.
Violet Sky: Dune. Leaning a bit more into the associations with the color purple this time we have a lot of the love for Zelda plus the ever-shifting nature of the dunes of Lanayru desert. Dune is pretty all over the place, emotionally. He's the one most likely to express them, too. He's sorta Sky's emotions but that's not entirely accurate, because the others still have a lot of emotions. Also gets to play the harp, helps center him.
With their dynamic, I imagine River falls into the leader role. In the sense that they keep everyone on track and not dead at least, Twister is their battle strategy. River doesn't really mind the role of leader? None of the others are really vying for it. Twister kinda tries but every time the others are like "no, you're still in time out for X." Dune and Magma are just happy to be along for the ride, though there is no guarantee that they won't wander off somewhere. Magma because something looks interesting and Dune because they're just following the highest energy person right now.
If they had to be given combat roles then Magma is the tank, Twister is the rogue, River is the Healer and Dune is the distraction. Dune is perfectly fine just running around irritating their opponents and catching their attention so the others can get good hits in, so I guess support in a way?
Oooo so we get some mystery with this! Now I'm curious about Four's people, if they're an original species were they around for even if they weren't seen in anyone else's adventures? Are they a common sight in Four's Hyrule, super rare, or common and just not seen like the Minish? What's their name? Gosh, this is so intriguing! I'm also curious about everyone else's opinion of our local mystery among mysteries. Your Chain as Cryptids AU is absolutely amazing and I'm looking forward to hearing more about everyone, as always! But take care of yourself first above all else, you come before any story ♥️
No rush with this ask but I just remembered! Back in my last ask you said you finally got Four figured out, I'd love to hear about their lore! Unabashed favorite character alert, I think Four's design is so cool and I love their concept so I super wanna hear about em. Like I said, no rush if U wanna tackle Spirit's lore reveal first
Nonono I’m happy to talk about Four!
Full disclosure, I’m very busy with schoolwork (the semester ends in like two weeks!!! I’m barely hanging on) so I don’t currently have the mental capacity to sit and write pages and pages of lore. Writing is so incredibly draining for me, so you probably won’t be getting a full lore post for Spirit until this weekend! It’s one of those things that will take pages and pages to explain and I just… can’t do that right now haha! So I’m happy to talk about Four in the mean time!
Four is… a special case. I want them to be a mystery. Every time someone asks about their backstory- particularly about Shadow- I will always respond by telling them it’s a spoiler. (As I’m starting to organize my thoughts and get my feet under me to get serious about actually writing fics, I’m getting more secretive about story elements. I don’t mean to dangle it in front of your faces, but I don’t want to spoil the big things! I’m sorry if this seems cruel).
Four is pretty secretive about their past, very protective of the things they love, and still working through a lot of their issues. The colors are having a bit of a rough time reflecting on their adventures and so Four… doesn’t really talk about it a lot.
Like I said before, I want Four to be a closed book. The others will know them as an Enigma. They’ve never seen anything like Four before. I will say that they are an original species- like the Aquili for Wind. Their horns are normal for their people. Their affinity for the elements is normal for their people. Their ability to split? Not so much. The colors are still a secret.
(Think… dragons.)
Four thinks it’s entertaining to keep the others guessing. At first, it’s a defense mechanism. Trying to keep their cards close to their chest, never giving the others too much of themself. But as trust starts to grow between the Chain, it kind of becomes more of a running joke? Sometimes, they’ll give small bits of information over dinner. Long nights sitting around the fire. They’ll tell stories of their adventures, but they’d mess up with pronouns and perspectives the same way that Sky does.
Sky, for the same reason, doesn’t share much. Telling stories is hard when there’s multiple consciousnesses trying to speak through one mouth.
Again! I’m sorry, I know you probably wanted more backstory, but just like Four, I’m keeping my cards close to my chest for this one. It’s a secret to the Chain, and it’s a secret to everyone. Just know that I typically don’t stray too far from the game’s (and in this case, the Manga’s) canon. Or at least. I try not to.
