I think it’s really insulting that westerners talk about communism. y'all had it too good and now y'all are being spoiled little brats. let me talk to you about the women and men executed and how their bodies were thrown out of trains and the basic food being rationed so harshly that we actually started black markets for fucking sugar and oil and let me talk to you about how they used to spy on everyone, we had mikes in our homes, how they made kids rat on each other and how controlled the education was. lights went out at 7. my parents used to study by a candle. everything. was. controlled. everyone. was. oppressed.

“Korg, the rock monster played by Taika Waititi himself, is one of the funniest characters in the movie, and introduces himself with a rock, paper, scissors joke when he first meets Thor.
But there’s more. At the end of the film, we see that Korg has accidentally crushed his blade-armed alien gladiator friend, thinking he killed him. Though the alien wakes up, the joke there probably sailed over everyone’s head. Rock beat scissors.
And if you want to go deeper than that, Korg explains to Thor how he tried to start a revolution but failed because he didn’t print enough pamphlets. Paper beat rock.
This is just too good. Too damn good, Waititi. Amazing.”
from Paul Tassi’s “Five Brilliant Hidden Jokes in Thor: Ragnarok”.
what she says: i'm fine
what she means: but what happened on monday? did the breakfast club reunite as friends, unafraid of judgement from their parents and peers? were allison and bender welcomed at claire and andy's lunch table? did andy and allison go steady, and did allison stay true to the fashion sense that made her comfortable? did bender ever become more than a weapon for claire to use against her parents? did bender ever learn it was better to try and change the world instead of just blindly rebel against it? did brian ever seek help for his depression? did they all help brian find self value outside of his intelligence? did claire, allison, brian, and andy all start purposefully earning saturday detentions to keep bender company? did they all begin to associate detention with a feeling of safety and a space to be their true selves? did they eventually move that association onto each other and become true life long friends? i like to think so but idk.
Back in my day the teachers didn’t have nice laptops, they pulled this shit out and sat it on some unfortunate kids desk
