Me trying to get adjusted with my new markers 😜
And little sneak peak on my next piece.
Lineart is already done but I'm too afraid to color it so I did the sketch above.
Also, this dude's name is Decay (at least for now. I am currently in a phase of overhauling all my ocs from this story and he might also get a new name as the others because I was back then just lazy picking them.)
His arm dissolves stuff, if the name didn't alteady tell 😀
I am currently trying to draw my characters, but since I kind of struggle with that, I decided to take a break from that today and rather start figuring out how to write about them. Then I realized, it's probably best, if I first introduce the main idea that connects all (/most) of them.
As I started, I had two things: motivation and an idea.
After I played Undertale for the first time, I discovered the huge fandom behind it and realized that the world I loved so much had a whole other dimension to it (literally 😂). I saw the great content people made, like art or music. That made me plant the little seed of motivation into my head. I was thinking, maybe I could make something that great as well.
That was the moment I started to write a story. I didn't feel too confident to draw anything, so the best thing I could do was write. I was really proud of how it turned out. It was pretty basic and stuck to the normal game. I also had this idea (not the one I was talking about up there, but it's important for where I am now) that I was suppressing, since I wanted to focus on my AU.
One evening, I decided to give that idea a chance and after I kept dreaming the entire night about it, I spent the entire morning putting it into words. The phase after that, I call the downfall. My problem is that I am a perfectionist. So I kept rewriting the chapters until I finally managed to break the story for myself. After ten attempts, an almost finished first chapter with thirty pages, almost a year time spent running in circles and a couple other reasons I finally managed to kind of let go. (I still think there could maybe the possibility that I might be able to tell that story, but for now it's best to leave it behind. I also kind of can't let entirely go. For example: I use the main character in my profile pic 😊)
After realizing that I needed to stop since it lead nowhere, I needed something new to be obsessed with. While writing, I also wrote down a couple of ideas for potential later characters. And as I reviewed what I had collected, I realized that two of them would fit quite well as a duo. First, I still wanted to include my old character as well, but I let go of that after another month.
Now, that I've explained my motivation, it's time to present my idea! (... why is this becoming so long? 😅)
I wanted to take the concept of the genocide run in another light. I mean sure, there were so many worlds out there, where people just killed for fun or they didn't have another choice. My first characters lean more into the category of it being an accident. Since this was the main concept I was going by, I called my AU 'Club of Genociders' (by now, I don't really like that name but it still fits and I have currently no better idea how to name it.)
After FINALLY having explained my main concept (and rambling too much 😂) I can tell that this little idea snowballed into such a huge story. I am still struggling to put it all into words, so I figured it's best to share what I have to avoid making the same mistakes again. but what's most important, I love the way everything is evolving. From the characters, over the storyline to major plot twists. I also realized that I keep adding new possible characters to the story (not sure if I'll include them all though. That really depends on how the story turns out.)
If you made it this far, thanks for reading 😊 (I really didn't want to make it that long 😅)
Currently trying to figure out all of my characters of my story. And geez, I have too many XD (12 is many ...)
Tried that already before but now I'm trying to figure out thier faces first and after that what they're wearing.
Had a couple good sketches and thought this might be a good oportunity to ramble a bit about them.
So, first off, we have the main villain. (I originally called him Shadow but I am now thinking about a different name. Currently, I wrote down Lord Astaroth Ophidian but not sure if that stays) His color scheme is going to be red and black and what I love most about him is his hair. It goes over in black mist.
I actually haven't thought in detail over his powers but he can move through shadows. Due to his hair emitting shadows, he's able to teleport through different universes. Maybe I might include something like illusions but I need to make sure they're not too similar to another ability from my cast.
I'm not entirely sure about his motives yet, but he wants to overthrow the guardians and wants world domination (I guess for now, but this might also change, as I am trying to figure out the entire story again.)
(And he's currently smiling but he wouldn't hesitate to break your neck.)
(Fun Fact: I gave him the nickname Disney Princess because of his floaty hair XD Just imagine someone walking up to someone killing and manipulating others and saying, "ey, what's up, princess?" I could already imagine a specific character doing that ... and ending up dead XD)
(And another fun fact: I was thinking about to call the villains the 'high-five' that would be so funny XD)
And here we have my sweetie, Senti. She's the second guardian, the guardian of feelings.
Her concept is really interesting. As guardian of feelings, she's able to recognise others' emotions and even manipulate them. But due to being a child, she's not able to control her abilities properly. That means she is mostly affected by the emotions of the people she looks at and feels the same.
That also means that when someone shouts at her and is mad, she mirrors the emotion and even amplifies the one it came from to be even madder (I hope you write it like that XD)
Another cute part of the design, what you cannot see in the sketch is, that her eyes are originally greyish silver but change colour depending on the emotion she's feeling (either own or perceived)
Hiii, it's been a long time. A lot going on in real life currently.
I found myself something new to be obsessed with and I am also slowly changing to original art supplies. IDK why, but it's currently more fun to draw on paper than on my tablet.
I doubt that I'll ever start posting frequently.
A little WIP:
And here also the reference, if you want to see:
Ookay, lineart is done. Color will have to wait until tomorrow.
And yes, I didn't outline his scar but this time I didn't forget about it! I'll draw it as I color it.
(And is it just me or do the cogwheels look weird? It kind of looks worse in the picture...)
Okay, I stopped working on the previous sketch since something about it was not right. I'm not sure what but it felt weird and I didn't like it.
Instead I moved on to the next one. Sadly, I forgot to make a picture of the sketch before slightly erasing but I wanted to show it nethertheless. So, here's Eijiro in his hero costume
Can't wait to line and color it 😀
Aaand my collection is getting bigger
The links to the individual pieces:
Kirishima, Izuku, Katsuki, Denki and Shoto.
There are also links of the wips of those (except Shoto because I forgot to take pictures) if you're interested to see how I made them.
The Result: Fate!!!
(I didn't expect this ... )
Well, guess now I need to figure out his ... yeah his everything. Design, Backstory, a new name ...
I've been trying to figure out which of my OCs to draw. I was thinking it was a funny idea to make the silhouettes of the characters to see if they were distinct enough from each other.
Since I wanted to make character sheets for all of them, who am I supposed to start with? Or rather, who do you want to know more about?
Wonder if this poll will get even a single vote 😅
Do you know the phenomenon where you make the same expression when you draw? I just drew a yawning expression and can't stop yawning ...
Edit: I have been yawning for five minutes straight. It gets exhausting XD
GUYS! Guysguysguys ...
I'm excited. I finished planning the first 11 pages of my comic :D
The first scene is done :D
Now I just need to get a little criticism on what I could improve and then I can start making it pretty :D
I also realised I probably need to start making REAL character sheets. I changed the design of one of them mid-drawing.
I need to make sure they stay consistent. Otherwise, that would be confusing.
