I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

One Stormy Night…

Chapter 3

(OOOOOOHHH I HOPE YOU GUYS WEREN'T WAITING FOR TOO LONG!! This Chapter is 1,000% worth the wait! (ALSO. There’s a panic attack in this chapter. Though the panic attack is minor, I don’t wanna take any chances not warning you. Enjoy reading!

The storm was now a light drizzle. Everything was peaceful, except for the two figures marching toward Castle Dedede.

Waddle Doo was increasingly nervous the closer he got. He ran away from Castle Dedede to be back with Kracko, his true king. Waddle Doo was never a real Waddle Dee, just a leader to make sure they stayed in line.

Now he was filled with anxiety. The king takes treason VERY seriously. It’s like he knew that word the day he came out of the stars, or wherever he was from. Tap tap! “H-huh-?” Waddle Doo snapped back to reality. Kracko looked at Waddle Doo expectingly, then back at the large drawbridge.

“Oh! The drawbridge-?” Kracko nodded. He slowly lifted a finger, ready to strike the bridge down by force. “N-no master!” Kracko seized. “We’ll make a ton of noise if we go this way…we should come in through the back.” Kracko looked at Waddle Doo like he had two heads. Waddle Doo looked away, embarrassed. “No master…the moat is only for show…there’s no water in the back.” Kracko looked at Waddle Doo, wide eyed. “No water.” What kind of castle DIDN'T have water...??

Waddle Doo and Kracko walked to the backside of the castle and he was right! There was no water…weird… “The king didn’t really make the most..intellectual decisions…” Waddle Doo said, quietly opening the door and looking for any guards. This area was never watched, but he just wanted to be sure. “Clear…” Waddle Doo whispered, and Kracko followed behind.

The castle hallways in the back was always a bit cold, but one he got to the center, it was warmer. Bright lights lit up the hallways, and the soft and smooth red carpet led the one eyed duo down the hallways. They seemed to be having no luck however. Kirby was nowhere to be found. Maybe Kracko saw the Waddle Dees carrying them off somewhere else…he began to doubt maybe-

“YEAH!!!”

A loud shout echoed through the halls. Kracko jumped, tripping and falling onto Waddle Doo. “Ack-! Master- y-you’re heavy-!” Waddle Doo strained. Kracko got up, dusting himself from the fall. While Waddle Doo was gasping for air, Kracko walked off. He recognized that voice. That cheer. That happiness he envied for. It was…

“Kirby…!!” Bandana Dee whined. “You need to have these vitamins..!!” Kirby turned away like a toddler. “Gummies…” Kirby said, with a face that looked like they lost their little robot puppy. “We have yet to get more gummies Kirby…I’m sorry…” Kirby pondered, and then put up a pleading little act. “Gummies…?” Kirby pleaded. Bandana Dee chuckled. “Pleading won’t make them come any quicker Kirby…” They frowned. “Aw…”

Their happiness made Kracko claw at the wall. Kirby looks so happy..why can’t he be that happy? It’s not fair!

Kracko was about to march right in there but was being tugged on. It was Waddle Doo! “N-no master Kracko..!” He whispered. “Not yet..! We should do it while Kirby’s alone..!!” Kracko seized. He didn’t really like waiting, but if it meant getting rid of Kirby, he’d do anything.

Kirby finally gulped down the vitamins, after much resistance. “Bleh..” They exaggerated. Bandana Dee rolled his eyes and chuckled. “I never knew there was a food you wouldn’t eat..” Kirby giggled. Kirby then made a face that meant business, which caught Bandana off guard. “W-wanya..?” He questioned, intimidated. “Toomato?” Kirby raised an eyebrow.

Bandana laughed. “S-sure Kirby..let me just make sure you’re able to get up..” Bandana Dee took one of Kirby’s hands. “Stand?” Kirby moved the blacker off of them and stood up. Their legs shook a little bit, since they were lying down for so long. “Mhn-! Oh..?” Kirby loosened up. He can stand! “Yayy!!” Kirby did a little dance with Bandana. “Woah! Haha- Kirby…!!” They both laughed together like two little kids.

Kracko could explode from how angry he was. How come he got to be so happy? It’s not fair!! Kracko clawed at the wall he was hiding behind, nearly giving him a cramp in his hand. “Master Kracko…” Waddle Doo tried to calm Kracko down, but instead got the back of his head grabbed. That really hurt! Waddle Doo yelped. “Gah—!” The grab caught him off guard, and when Waddle Doo is caught off guard, he shoots a ball of lightning from his eye. It was no different here, and it was uncontrollable. The lightning ball quickly shot out and threw a bed into the air with a devastating BOOM!!! “AH!!” “WANYA!?” Kirby and Bandana Dee panicked.

Where did that come from!? “AH!” “W-WANYA-!!” Kirby and Bandana Dee ducked under a bed. “Who- wa- who was that..!?” Bandana Dee gasped. “Dunno…!” Kirby panicked. Both Kirby and Bandana Dee looked at each other, and nodded. Kirby peeked up to see who attacked, and Bandana Dee used the Sparking Stars to summon a spear for him. Kirby quickly dived back down, panic all over their face. “Wanya-? Who’s there..? What’s wro-”

CRRRRACKKKK!!

“Kracko..!!” Kirby said. “WHAT!? H-how did he get here…!?” “Dunno!!” More dust cleared up, and a purple hue shined above Kirby and Bandana Dee’s heads. The color nearly drained from their faces when they saw the jagged lightning bolt lodged into a wall just a foot or less over their heads.

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!”

“AH! Bandana!?” King Dedede recognized that scream. Not only was it Bandana, it was pure distress. Dedede looked over his balcony, looking down at Whispy Woods. The Dees were celebrating, throwing their sparkling stars into the sky. They’d take a while until they all returned. Perfect.

That’s enough time to clobber that there intruder! King Dedede turned around and pulled out his hammer, dashing towards the screams.

“S-stay back..! Don’t hurt Kirby…!!” Banana Dee pointed his spear at Kracko, but got blasted back by Waddle Doo. “WANYAAA-!!!” “Banana!!” Kirby caught Bandana who was tumbling towards a wall. “S-stop…!” Kirby yelled. Just why was this all happening? All Kirby wanted to do was sleep..Kracko got even closer. It was…unfair to sneak up on Kirby while he was down, but this would all be worth it. The ends shall justify the means.

“GET OUTTA MY CASTLEEEE!!!” With a mighty swing of his hammer, Dedede sent Kracko hurling away.

“Dede!!” Kirby exclaimed.

“Great King…!!” Bandana said with tears in his eyes, relieved.

“Sire…!?” Waddle Doo instinctively yelped. This caught him off guard!

“F-Former Waddle Doo-!?” Bandana peeked over the bed, and so did Kirby. It was Waddle Doo! “Doo!!” Kirby called. Waddle Doo couldn’t feel any more uneasy. This is horrible! What if he gets wanted posters plastered all over Cappytown? What will the Cappies think!? He shrieked behind the wall he before hid with Kracko. This couldn’t be happening..he wanted to disappear. He felt like he was losing his breath under all of the pressure…

King Dedede was beyond upset. Who did this cloud think it was!? “Ya stormed into my castle!!” Dedede lunged at Kracko and lifted him up. Upon dropping him, Dedede used his hammer to slam Kracko back into another wall. “Hurt MY Waddle Dees!!” Kracko narrowly dodged the hammer aimed towards his face. “And now ya tryna fight me!!!” Dedede slammed his hammer down again, in another attempt to pound Kracko’s face in, but missed.

Kracko dodged and took the chance to trip Dedede. While the king was on the ground, Kracko summoned a little cloud. By stomping on the cloud, it created a mini hailstorm. Little icicles scratched up Dedede’s face and put holes in his gloves, agitating him. While Dedede was distracted, Kracko created another cloud and used it to ram into Dedede. Kracko made yet another cloud to hail onto Dedede, but this cloud was..different…

It let out twice as much hail, but only lasted a second. Kirby, realizing there was no more pounding, took a look. Kracko looked sickly…purple!? Kracko loosened up, trying to summon another hail cloud, but failed due to his little consciousness. What was going on…? Kracko tried to retreat, but fell over. Everything was blurry and fading. Why is this happening…?

Dedede noticed Kracko’s horrible state, and took advantage of it. Dedede attached his hammer to his back, and backhand slapped Kracko with as much force possible. Kracko folded like a piece of paper, and lost consciousness.

Kirby and Bandana Dee took a peek. “Over..?” Kirby anxiously whispered. “Wanya…” Bandana Dee quivered. “'parently so.” Dedede took a deep breath. “WHAT IS GOIN’ ONNNN!?” He kicked Kracko’s unconscious body out of spite. “'M ready to go hit the hay.” Dedede mumbled. Kirby and Bandana Dee walked out from behind the bed. “Thank you so much Great King! Y-you can head back to bed now..just…what to we do with..um…”

“Kracko.” Kirby said, knelt over his unconscious body. “Y-yeah. Him.” Bandana Dee finished. “Eh, do whatever.” The king said dismissively. “I say put ‘im in the dungeon-” “No!” Kirby shouted, cutting the king off. “Help…” Kirby looked at Kracko pitifully.

Kirby didn’t fully grasp that Kracko wanted their head, but Kirby didn’t want to just throw him out like that! Abandonment is sad and lonely, and Kirby hated sadness and loneliness. “Nova…” The king was cranky. He just wanted to go back to sleep now, as the sudden wake up from the fire is getting back to him. “Fine, fine. Stay. Do whatever! Just…don’t make a big ol’ racket. It’s late…” The king caved.

“G-Great King…” Bandana started, but Dedede cut him off. “Wake up the other Dees for their night shift, and make sure this here nursery gets a good cleanin’. Understood?” Bandana Dee saluted. “Yes Great King! I won’t let you down!” “Good. The castle’s all yours for now.” King Dedede waked off to his room. More importantly, his comfy king-sized bed.

Bandana turned toward Kirby and began jumping for joy. “WAWAWAAA!! THE GREAT KING LEFT ME IN CHARGE OF THE CASTLEEE!!” Kirby nearly feel over…that was kinda loud... “Yayy..!” Kirby gave him a little applause, though they didn’t understand what was so special about it.

Kirby turned towards Kracko. They didn’t know why Kracko did what he did, but Kracko seemed really hurt… “Idea!”

Kirby ran over to where all of the medical supplies is. “Kirby-? What are you looking for? Wanya..?” Bandana asked.

“Bility!” Kirby replied.

“A copy ability..? Why??”

“Help-!” Kirby answered, grabbing a stethescope and absorbing it. Before Bandana Dee knew what Kirby was doing, a white coat draped down to their feet, and sleeves covered their hands. Little circular glasses appeared on his face, and a headlamp was tied by a big blue band. It was Dr. Kirby!

Bandana Dee really dislikes that ability. Bandana Dee unknowingly gave Kirby a disappointed stare.

“Who patient?” Dr. Kirby asked. Bandana Dee pointed to Kracko’s unconscious body. Kirby lugged Kracko’s big body over them with ease, placing him nicely on the bed. “Hmmmm…” Dr. Kirby mumbled. “H-how are you gonna..um…‘help’..him Kirby..?” Bandana as- “Dr. Kaabi.” Dr. Kirby corrected. Bandana Dee’s face dropped. “R-right.”

Dr. Kirby took a stepping stool and got a closer look at Kracko. “Mmmm..” Dr. Kirby felt his head, and took out a little clipboard and scribbled things down. “Hot…” Dr. Kirby looked at Kracko, who was shaking. “Mm..jiggy.” Scribble scribble. Dr. Kirby fixed their glasses, and looked at his torso. Dr Kirby poked around until Kracko winced when Dr. Kirby poked a certain area. That must be where Dedede hit Kracko with his hammer, it’ll leave a mark. Scribble scribble. “Boo boo.”

Kirby was about to put the clipboard away until he got one more look at Kracko. Something was wrong. Kracko was.. “Purple…?”

Some extra notes - Dedede got a new redededesign! I really wanted to shred away from majority of his human features, and give him one animal feature. - I'm gonna need more time to get this on Ao3 (If I said I was gonna do that. I can't quite remember...) - I might start posting daily doodles on little index cards, or post SOMETHING that'll be continuous.
