It’s August 1944, and thirteen-year-old Jopie Von Der Au is helping her family resist the SS in Nazi-occupied Germany. Alongside her parents, older brother Jozef, and blind sister Anja, Jopie’s world changes when they are taken from their home in Gorlitz and sent on one of the notorious death trains to Auschwitz. Only Jopie, her mother, and Jozef survive, as Anja dies before deportation and Papa dies after arriving. In the horrors of Auschwitz, Jopie forms bonds with new friends, but most people she loves slowly die off. Her eyesight begins to fade as she fights to survive. Here, Birds Don't Dare Whistle is a story of the emotional toll of survival, the struggle to keep hope, the importance of family and friends, and the struggle of the oppressed. May I also BEG for more germophobic characters? Only once have I ever read a well-written germophobic character, and I want more. But beware, if you choose to write one, it's very difficult. Even being germophobic myself, I had a hard time writing a realistic one who isn't cringy.
Unique traits to give your characters:
Only puts in one earbud (whether because the other one is ALWAYS broken or because they want to be able to listen to music and everything around)
Never has acne, but has enough other skin problems to make up for it
Allergic to mint, which causes rashes on their face (I have this and it sucks)
Always turns their screen brightness and volume down as low as they can (or direct opposite)
Always wears certain jewelry (rings, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, toe rings)
Never listens to "normal" music. Only musicals. Or not music at all. Only podcasts
Can't read because they always have a song stuck in their head
They go through insane phases of hyper fixations where they constantly make references to something but never go on tangents
Never cleans their glasses (or direct opposite; always cleans them)
Tries to dress nice but has no fashion sense
One last thing. Giving your most likable character glasses isn't a bad idea because some people (cough, cough, me) hate their glasses until a character they like wears glasses, then they love their glasses. It can really make an impact! Just an idea. (That sentence made no sense, sorry)

Does it make sense that when I defend Evan Hansen, I’m not defending his actions, because I know that they’re wrong and that’s the point of the show, but that I’m defending him because people refuse to acknowledge him as a complex character rather than a horrible evil manipulative sociopath?
I love how I'm always reading things on tumblr about some people's school being wild and crazy and I'm always so upset because my school's like that until I realize... wait, we do have some goofy things.

Ahhh.... here we go. Okay, so I used to do track in middle school. In 7th grade, I decided to do discus at a meet, but I hadn't thrown in a year. So, when I went to throw it, I threw it OVER THE NET WHERE THE PEOPLE WERE, and I would have killed someone if they hadn't moved. I was so embarrassed afterward that I cried, and everyone kept surrounding me and asking me why I was crying (which is so stupid because it's so obvious why! I almost killed some people!), but I lied and said I didn't know why, but I very well knew why.

Let me tell you, I had a hard time deciding who to vote for. Both Will Roland and Will Connolly are great Jeremys, but I had to choose.
It was really close, but Will Connolly did win. I think his voice is perfect (and very pretty!), but Will Roland is a very expressive actor and does a great job. So I'm glad it was close rather than one getting a lot more votes than the other.

Overall, I am very happy with how this poll turned out!
Pitiful Children won, which is so great because it's one of my favorite songs from BMC, (at least top 5, if not top 3!) and it beat another song that I don't really like (I bet you can't guess which one).
The other song was close to beating it at one point, despite starting at 0% (then I made a post about my hate for that song, and the numbers went up. Still not sure if that was to spite me). But now it's tied with Micheal in the Bathroom. HOW?!?! The other song is so annoying while Micheal in the Bathroom is sung by GEORGE SALAZAR! How do they even compete?!?!

AHHH FANGIRLING FOR BMC
It's so fun to be in the first week of a fandom for a musical where you're learning the names and songs, and now it's like--wait, just TWO WEEKS AGO, I didn't know the lyrics to Micheal in the Bathroom or know what a squip is?!?! And what do you mean I hadn't watched it on loop for a week straight until recently?!?!

I have this wacky idea for a book I really want to write. What if I wrote a book in regular English for everything except the dialogue, which I write in early modern English? And to make it extra wacky, it would take place in modern times, when we don't use Early Modern English?

Okay, I have a BMC headcanon that I'm curious to know if y'all agree with. Ready?
Okay, Headcanon that Jeremy has one of those parental control phones with no apps except texting and photos, so Micheal lets him borrow his phone to play games on and go on social media (I could see him as a tumblr kid). And Jeremy is nice, so he buys Micheal slushies and coffee in return and lets him copy his homework.
Should I turn this into a fanfic?!?! There are too few BMC fics in this world!
