'boy hostage', for your viewing pleasure
man i love tim's middle part. it really sets him apart from his brothers.
it's a little fanon-y, but i'm an optimistic person!

THIS IS SO SAD
IT IS CANON THAT JACK TECHNICALLY FORGOT ABOUT TIM'S BIRTHDAY. but also TIM forgot about tim's birthday
dont worry, he gets a happy ending (for now)
EVERYONE, hear me out please
fanon tim has been sort of... obliterated, which is pretty normal when you have people who like to push hurt/comfort to the limit. no hate. however, we shouldn't just shove the idea that tim has troubles away just because he isn't characterized all too well in some fanfictions.
tim drake's parents left him alone a lot. they (at least his father) had high expectations of him, causing him to have to mature faster. that much is seemingly canon. in canon, his parents were overly terrible to him like you might find in a classic trope (because it doesn't work that way), but what we see of his dad certainly wasn't all too great. it's complicated!
that being said, he is still a goofy and dramatic child overall. he, like everyone, has his lows and weak moments, but his demeaner early on as robin is often a little bright-eyed.
as for his relationship with bruce- it's tense. bruce is still grieving. tim is still grieving. bruce tries to hold tim at arm's length, but he can't help but to try and parent the kid more than his own father had. at least, from what im reading. i just barely wrapped up the whole contagion stories for tim's robin days.
regarding this screencap from a comic volume i dont remember, tim actively separates his life from robin's life. his school and social life are in pieces. his robin life is messy and bruce is difficult to work with. tim is trying to do his job, but it's hard and he gets into moods about them, because him claiming to hate himself isn't a one-time thing if i can recall correctly.
tim drake struggles to be a teenage boy and enjoy time with his girlfriend. he doesn't see much of his friends and his grades are plummeting. this is a good thing to write sad-tim over, because if you remember being tim's age, grades and friends are your life. those two things are why you get out of bed and do things.
tim as robin has several 'im going to die' experiences that he fightfully freaks out over. those are fabulous things to write about, even if the senario is totally fabricated and youve never touched a comic.
all this being said, i could still be wrong and/or missing things. i just wanted to put my little ideas out there regarding tim fics, because all he needs is a little work to be written interesting (to me lol). feel free to add one, because again, im still a baby in this fandom.
tim is such a lover-boy. he gets all the men and ladies. you are down here, and tim is up here.
Could anyone tell me how old at least one of the Batboys (jason, tim, dick, duke, damian) were when Alfred died, or if any of them didn’t exist? I’m blending new and old comics for my writing and I’m having continuity errors.
i used to blog about comic books, but my latest project has been selling my cute lil stickers!
