And Then WE'RE The Bad Guys.

A looooong time ago (6 months ago), I created a character with vitiligo. Only, I didn't fully understand how vitiligo worked. I knew of the loss of melon, I knew of the extra spicy sunburns, and I kinda knew something about the eyes getting bad. But for some unknown reason, I assumed that it could work in reverse.

I created a character who had hyperpigmentation Vitiligo. This does exist! But not in the way I made it. So recently after finding out that Uncle Rufus from the Bondadooks was lying about revitiligo, I decided 'Oh shit. I gotta fix my boy!'

So I changed him from having hyperpigmentation to universal vitiligo, did my best to change every bit of misinformation I had in his bio.

Before when I had the information wrong, people (antis) praised me for my representation. Now that I've updated the bio to be more accurate, I am being told I didn't have to create a character whose sole purpose was to be whitewashed.

...

Man, I either live knowing I was horribly misrepresenting a group and getting praised by those who don't have it or I live being harassed for whitewashing a character who was white from the beginning by people who don't have it.

Whenever I read the word 'Prolific' I think it has something to do with Pro vs Anti stuff and I sit there wondering what the hell a 'Lific' is before realizing prolific is a word in the hand held dictionary.

I am reminded of my younger years where I dreamed (and still do) of creating a series, a show, SOMETHING! One of these shows in my head featured two non-identical twins (basic story One was blind and 'weak' and the other was forced to be a parent to the other) and I was always so scared to expand upon it because 'What if people ship them?' i thought about this a lot. Way more than normal. I would think of the fanfictions people would make of my twins, I would imagine how good the fanart would be, I would make it further fucked up for them by imagining the 'Parental' one to want some kind of reward for everything he's been put though just to take care of the other one, which would lead to them gently coaxing them into sex-

Eventually I realized I wasn't scared of them getting shipped because it was wrong, I was scared because I'd spend all my time reading the fanfiction than working on my story.

So small but so loud ToT

Basically every artist and/or writer over the age of 25 is proship.

Sorry to break it to you, but the creators of your favorite shows, comics, and video games are most likely all proship.

Your therapists and psychologists would be considered proship. Your school teachers would most likely be considered proship. Hell, most of you have parents that would be considered proshippers.

The mass majority of people can understand the concept of a fictional story being harmless. Antis, you're the minority.

First guy, Lunar!

He's a Metal Family OC and is dating my F/O Dee!

Their story in my head is that after Lif rejected Dee's feelings, he was kind of down in the dumps... Until Lif introduced him to another online friend. Then, since Dee apparently has a fetish for online relationships and simping, he does the same fucking thing he did with Lif, only it works this time.

Fun facts:

Lunar is not his real name, it's a nickname from his online username LLun4r.

He gets most of his clothes from Pinterest. So his style is seriously jumbled.

His fangs are fake, but he accidentally used really strong glue and can't get them off.

He braided one side of his hair, got lazy, and just put the other in a ponytail.

Despite being a blue eyed Blondie like Dee, they are not related.

He is a Proshiper and personally likes writing multiple chapter fanfictions on Ao3 that go up to around 100k words. (I fucking wish 😔)

When Dee sent him a really cringe worthy voicemail, he assumed he was doing a bit and sent him one back. Dee took it seriously and listened to that on repeat.

As of now, the two have been in a semi awkward relationship for a few weeks. No kissing has happened yet since holding hands still seems to be a little too much for Dee.

Guys let's spread around content creators who follow Proship ideologies so we can have a positive outlet and find more creators that won't randomly make us pull out our hair :D

ColeyDoesThings - Her whole channel is talking about fanfiction and AO3. She's very open about the fact she's ship and let ship and antis complain a LOT about the fact she is. Supportive of Wincest and Mpreg although I can't remember if she personally likes them.

Manlybadasshero - He's said he won't stop playing The Coffin of Andy and Leyley even though people are upset about the incest. He doesn't agree with the harassment the creator has received and agrees that the worst thing a game can be is boring. (To see that just watch his TCOAAL playthrough, he says it much better himself!)
