Tbh toxic yaoi stopped being toxic

People (Aka antis) will call two men that have a "I mildly dislike you but i would cry if you died" dynamic toxic yaoi

Like- do they even know what REAL toxic yaoi even is????

Consider the following:

A character known for being the therapist who often will do anything to cheer up a person when they are sad, letting vent to them, and even calling people up randomly to check up on them is revealed to just have a fetish for sad people who need support.

A looooong time ago (6 months ago), I created a character with vitiligo. Only, I didn't fully understand how vitiligo worked. I knew of the loss of melon, I knew of the extra spicy sunburns, and I kinda knew something about the eyes getting bad. But for some unknown reason, I assumed that it could work in reverse.

I created a character who had hyperpigmentation Vitiligo. This does exist! But not in the way I made it. So recently after finding out that Uncle Rufus from the Bondadooks was lying about revitiligo, I decided 'Oh shit. I gotta fix my boy!'

So I changed him from having hyperpigmentation to universal vitiligo, did my best to change every bit of misinformation I had in his bio.

Before when I had the information wrong, people (antis) praised me for my representation. Now that I've updated the bio to be more accurate, I am being told I didn't have to create a character whose sole purpose was to be whitewashed.

Man, I either live knowing I was horribly misrepresenting a group and getting praised by those who don't have it or I live being harassed for whitewashing a character who was white from the beginning by people who don't have it.

Every day I get a little bit closer to wanting to do and host a massive tumblr art trade art blog event that's like Art Fight but for proshippers and is like CreativeClash but I'm the one in charge and doing it and hosting the fun team theme polls and stuff pensive 😔

I also get a little closer to wanting to host Proship roleplay blogs where people can look for RP partners

There is a deep rooted part of me that wishes to make an 'Anti' tumblr blog, where I do what I do here but anti style, gain a bunch of followers and stuff, then make a final post saying 'Sorry guys, i am a proshipper now. This space makes me miserable." And end it on that.

I probably won't because i actually WILL be miserable.

That fits him so well, oh my gosh I love this.
