First of all lets go ahead and say Happy Birthday to our favorite little blue striped alchemist!

Varian is a fantastic and incredibly diverse character and it can be a little hard sometimes to talk about him in the fandom since he hasn’t really been around in the series much lately. But I wanted to shout out that while I don’t talk about him much, he’s easily one of my favorite characters and the reason I found the show in the first place.

Well, in honor of his birthday! We’ll be having a varian specific stream where we rewatch all his episodes!

Some more Strive fanart I’ve been wanting to do. I’ve had the ‘constellation wings’ idea for a while now but haven’t thought of how to implement them until now. A lot of chromatic aberration and motion blur later, got me to these two results. Take them before I decide it needs more experimental tweaks.

TTS/RTA OC - Anya of Ingvarr

Had the inspiration to do an OC from the kingdom of Ingvarr!

Her name is Anya, she’s about 15 years old, and is a mechanical engineer who helped to build the Iron Lion. Her outfit was designed as a combination between the Ingvarr engineer and warrior uniforms.

(And she may also be a potential soulmate for Varian (romantic or platonic, I’ll let people head canon whichever they wish). Honestly though, the boy needs peers who share his interests, and it seems like mechanical engineering is pretty big in Ingvarr. Varian could probably find some kindred spirits there!)

Not sure that this really counts as a “cosplay”, per se, but I wanted to get in on the drawing-Varian-as-other-characters fun before the premiere.

You all know how much I love musicals (particularly, Frank Wildhorn musicals) and about a week ago, I stumbled across some beautifully-drawn Jekyll & Hyde animatics on YouTube. Just in time for spoopy season!  Then it occurred to me: “wait a minute…I can think of one other talented, but underappreciated, scientist whose well-intentioned experiments went horribly awry and sent him down an ironic path to villainy! 🤔”

And as they say, the rest is history.

Now I need to buckle-down and start seriously working on my submissions for CK server’s October event. xD

I’m a little late but here the last entry to the tangledtober 2019! The 4th week topic was costumes so I made a screeshot-edit and put cute little Varian in a raccoon costume X3

As a bonus have my cute little Varian edit without a costume too ;D (I had to edit a cute version bc this little gremlin in canon shocked me XDDD)
