mhhhhh ideasssss
I think one of the things about Bil and Ben is that they probably come off as kinda... sheltered? spoiled? to the other engines.
I mean they'd come off as irritating anyway because Being Aggravating is their stock-in-trade. But I imagine there's an inescapable element, too, of... envy. Disguised as dismissal and disgust.
Because the twins seem to have been bought new. This makes them nearly unique among the standard-gauge Sodor engines, all of whom had to prove themselves, or lose something, or come to the island as a last resort...
But Bill and Ben are privately owned and, I imagine, doted on. (That livery is one that is gonna show dirt fast, and I think that alone says something even apart from the general Vibes.) They have the freedom to roam beyond their clay pits, but they also have their home base that the others can't enter—they'd well shut out of the various stressors of other engines bunking with each other (and roasting each other from dawn till dusk). They are each other's family and they've never been separated, much less suffered the loss of the other. They pretty clearly don't live in fear of their owners, and they also seem to get a lot of attention from enthusiasts (RWS).
I get the sense that Edward and BoCo's tolerance for them is another symptom of how ungrudging and unjealous they are. They're pretty free from the trap of resenting others for their good fortune and that really helps to keep your cool when dealing with the two most cossetted little shits (affectionate) on the island.
I'd love to see their development pushed a bit by some disruption of their idyllic endless childhood, though. I think TVS having them mix it up at the big harbor helps a good bit—I like to imagine that after the era of the Wilbert Awdry books, the S.C.C. started hiring them out to the N.W.R. over the winter months and that allows for them to be at Brendam Tidmouth Harbor with Cranky, Salty, and whoever else at times.
One could take it further, though. What if the powers that be ever rebuilt that bridge that makes clearance into the pits so tight? And then the S.C.C. dieselised? I think Bill and Ben being replaced would be fascinating just because it would be such a big push for them as characters.
I'm sure the N.W.R. would take them in, at least for a while, but that's not dramatic enough for my tastes. Would they struggle to adapt (a la the season 3 story where they screw up their day managing the big station)? Would they be able to stay together? Would the North Western engines put together a deputation to ask them to be purchased, or would some of them kinda hesitate to plead for the most annoying little bees in the world to become a permanent part of their life? Would their diesel replacements kinda suck? What if the S.C.C. asked for them back, to help their replacements get up to speed? Bill and Ben as the seasoned veterans is just such a hilarious thought to me.
Which brings me to my next post...
Do you think some of the superheroes from the Incredibles existed at one point, like not exactly everyone of them but like there are some heroes that existed and had similar powers and designs to the ones we've seen in the franchise.
Like say someone has gone to the support course to request some gear and they start suggesting capes and the whole room all at once yells 'NO CAPES!' If I were to be writing characters talking about older superheroes I would totally take beats from the Incredibles.
'God Denki's like that old American Hero, what was his name, the one that had to cool his head before fighting a pretty villainess, the radiation one, YEAH GAMMA JACK, that's the one.'
'Hey Bakugo you really should have gone with the Dynaguy name'
'Hey No! That would be disrespectful to the original!'
I think the general idea of using the really good Incredibles superhero names as background references would be really funny, as it's always really fun to hear about the older heroes in MHA, when we do it's usually one of the previous AFO holders or Crimson Riot.
Anyway, ramble over.
Ahh yes, Sugar, Honey, Ice, Tea, or as Bakugou calls it.

Take Me to Your Heart
Are we lovers Or only just friends Come tomorrow Will I be lonely again When you see me Is it love in your eyes What you feeling Deep down inside
Is it love in your eyes?
That is the first stanza from Take me to Your Heart by Rick Astley, which if I'm going to be honest, is the KamiJirou song, let's follow this up with more of them.
Do you think about me (think about me) When I'm far away? Do you dream about me (dream about me) Can I find a way? To make you want me (make you want me) The way that I want you 'Cos I think I love you (think I love you) Could you love me too?
First definably for both of them, they where both thinking of each other at Gunga.
Do you Dream, Denki does, see.
Mhhh? Look like a certain someone?
Make you want me?
That's Kyouka talking.
See the wanting in question.
But it's not just her, Because I think I love you.
Take me to your heart Never let me go If you knew what I'm feeling You would not say no Take me to your heart Never let me go For your love, for your love Is all I need to know
This one is pretty self explanatory and doesn't exactly need imagery.
Can you tell me When you look at me If you need me In all honesty Because I'm certain As sure as can be I'd make you happy Eternally
I think Momo know he'll make her happy.
Yeah, it's their song.
How is this the best explanation I've seen of Hagakure's quirk, like genuinely.
And it's for a rewrite, like no that is just how I'm going want her quirk to work now, it makes so much sense.
As promised, this post is for the quirk analysis of the following three students!
Kirishima Eijirou, Ashido Mina, Hagakure Tooru will be discussed in this post and in that order.
Fatty and oily foods make Eijirou's skin harder, and Izuku hypothesises that it's due to the carbon content. While carbon is often associated with gases or coal, it's in food too, with the content being higher in oily or fatty foods. Eijirou manipulates the carbon in his skin by rearranging the carbon molecules to make it denser, to the point that his mohs level of hardness is equivalent to corrundum (level 9, one level below diamond).
Because of this, eating food containing high levels of carbon makes it so that there's more carbon to push between his skin cells.
While ordinary humans cannot properly digest high levels of carbon, Eijirou's body is able to, not just handle it, but properly digest it. As such, he starts eating activated charcoal, (which is safe to eat in small dosages, though Eijirou can have more), which increases his time limit, and can help him harden his entire body for longer periods of time.
It's also theorised that his teeth are sharp so that he can bite into coal.
The most obvious contender for what her acid is made of is stomach acid, however, if she transported her stomach acid to her skin, it would make her either incredibly ill or she wouldn't be able to digest things, as she subconciously produces acid.
As such, it's much more likely that she's using carbon dioxide. It's usually pointed out as a gas, but it can exist in a liquid form. Carbon dioxide naturally exists in all humans, though typically as a gas that our body filters out through breathing. Mina is absorbing carbon dioxide as opposed to breathing it out and changing it to a liquid form.
She can alter the pH levels, though it's naturally low, around pH level 3, which leads to accidentally dissolving her bed and floor and waking up in the flat/apartment below. Don't ask. She can make the pH levels go up to about 7, which is safe to drink, though it's not recommended, and this allows her to use her acid to slip around the ground.
While she could theoretically try breathing less to increase carbon dioxide intake, but that's very dangerous without proper training. Instead, she takes sodium bicarbonate or sodium citrate pills, which increase the level of carbon dioxide in the body.
Her appearance is not connected to her quirk.
Now, if Tooru were truly invisible, she would not be able to see, as the way we see is by light hitting our retinas, which bounces the light to the photoreceptors behind them which send the electrical signal to our brains. If the light passes through you, the light can't hit the retinas, meaning that no information would be sent to your brain, leaving you blind.
As such, reflecting light also cannot be her quirk, as this would lead to the same results, and would make her continuously shine.
Her quirk is actually absorbing and manipulating radiation across her skin. She doesn't feel hot or cold, as seen by her steaming lunch and how she can run around naked without a single shiver, and this is due to manipulating the thermal energy, which is a form of radiation.
Light is also a form of radiation, which is why she can produce flashes from her skin.
This could also mean that she cannot become irradiated by things such as chemical energy, though it's far too dangerous to test out.
Additionally, because of this, it's possible that she can manipulated energy across things made of her DNA, which is proven true when she gets her costume and appear invisible after she wears it.
...
So that's Izuku's analysis of Eijirou, Mina, and Tooru's quirks!
I'm not a master of science, so if there's something that doesn't seem quite right, chalk it up to psuedo-science, please. I did not take A-Levels for science. My knowledge comes from my own research, mainly due to Momo's quirk.
Thanks for tuning in!
Also simply because of how her Quirk works she was even fucking stronger against him, he had a Quirk that inflicted fear, she's on massive amounts of adrenaline and at risk of falling, Her Heart is hammering like someone replaced it with a jack hammer, and how does her quirk function?
By using her own heartbeat transmitted through her Jacks.
At that moment not only did it directly oppose Radio Waves, it was at the strongest it would ever be in her life, then the shock of losing her ear did that again.
In that moment she was the final way to stall him, that scene of Jirou stunning AFO by unlocking the vestiges of the stolen quirks, she created her own Tien Vs Semi-Perfect Cell situation, there were stronger candidates, but in that moment it was a Young Woman facing down Fear and Death, and faced it was Anger and so much Passion that it overwrote mental blocks.
Kyouka Jirou deserves the Best Girl Title for simply fucking up AFO's ass so bad.
we ARE aware that jirou's heartbeat wall is the fastest, most direct counter to all for one's radio waves, right???? we are aware that in the planning it was probably considered that when shit hits the fan, she's their biggest shot at opposing that??? we're aware that she's one of the examples of the indomitable human spirit and strength of will in that arc given she (and tokoyami i guess but this isn't about him) literally woke up the spirits of the quirks within all for one and that they all would've died without that??? right??? RIGHT????
Right so had a thought about MHA's time skip, what if the reason none of them could get in contact with Izuku is because he was off doing his own Bruce Wayne training arc, like everyone is actively trying to contact him but he keeps saying he's elsewhere.
Shoto: "So I called him last week to ask if we could have some lunch at that nice Bistro, he said he couldn't make it as he was out of the country"
Momo: "Where was he?"
Shoto: "He said something about Monk's in Nepal"
-
Katsuki: "That bastard Izuku is never even here where does he keep getting to!"
Hanta: "Last I checked he said he was in America"
Denki: "Where?"
Hanta: "New Jersey"
Denki: "Why the fuck is he in New Jersey?"
Katsuki: "Studying in Archam City"
Mina: "Didn't a new vigilante pop up in that city recently?"
Eijirou: "Yeah Green Finch, oh my god"
Denki: (Head in Hands) "He's working with the fucking Batman isn't he?"
Mina: "Ohh that's defiantly him"
-
Tim: "You know that new guy Izuku is pretty great, but there's something about him that rubs me the wrong way"
Dick: "And that is?"
Tim: "He's a hero getting a higher education in Archam, where it has been proven that higher academia is one of the contributing factors to becoming a villain, so I'm very confused about his choice of actions from here on out"
Dick: "Okay yeah that does sound rather weird"
It's rather saddening that I see next to no TodoMomo art on this sight, I check up on the tag fairly often, it does get updated with new fics, (Only issue, why so many smutty ones? I know they are both exceptionally attractive humans but they are about as awkward as a foal learning to walk, It would take them months to get to that point, but that's just me) and text posts, which I'm sure are highly informative having read a few of them, the formatting simply throws me off.
But it is a bit of a farcry from that dangerous and dogfighting place called Twitter in which pretty much all of the TodoMomo art is carried by the Japanese side of the fandom, to which I say.
Thank you so much.
But I might have something instore, but currently I can't find my eraser and Shouto has three layers of Shoulders, and I need to fix that.
yo ho yo ho!
ive had sticker sheets of this lil band cooking for ages lol. i just think theyre cute!!
Oh god I just realised that Hagakure's whole shtick is.
'Mirror Mirror on the the wall who is the fairest of them all'
I whole heartedly agree with this statement
Hi. Listen to this. It is nearly three hours long but I also think it is genuinely one of the very best ttte stories out there.
